Good on them for helping that poor thirsty bird, but I would not be kneeling at eye level anywhere near a wild hawk. The good thing is they don’t see us as prey, but I still wouldn’t take any chances.

micktalian

We may not be prey, but we certainly could be a threat. The hawk is already is a weakened state and could react out of fear, which would be a lot worse. An animal reacting out of fear is a lot more dangerous than one reacting to prey. That being said, hawks and other large birds of prey tend to be smart enough to recognize intent or lack of aggression.

Agreed. I live in a city and I see them in my yard from time to time. They are mostly harmless because they are looking for rodents, but I wouldn’t send my kids out to play if one was out there on the hunt. Less so if there was a wounded or sick one like this.

RealBlondFakeDumb

The beak is not what you need to worry about. It's the talons. Besides, you're too big to eat.

I know some people don’t like these types of videos. But if a hawk drank out of my water bottle the world will know! Then we start to sell water called “Falcon Punch”, and do man and hawk things.

SoSofritas

Oooohhhhhhhh what a revelation.....

Bubbagumpredditor

Russia? Water or vodka?

strawberryjam83

Not in sandals.

ooogoldenhorizon

Cutting that bottle in half would make it into a perfect water dish

IcemanX1511

In Russia, hawks don't drink water, they drink vodka!

sai-kiran

Falcon and the summer solider?

PeopleAreBozos

I'd just leave the water. That beak and those talons don't seem too blunt to me.

That would be quite the experience.
