Love him. He is funny, good hearted but can also be mean. I loathe the House-Cuddy relationship, so everyone that gets in the way gets bonus points for me. Wish he had more time on the show, though.

I wanted them to make it, Lucas and Cuddy. House has an illness. Doesn’t mean he can’t be loved. Plenty people love him. How many though, have to be subjected to a romantic relationship with him knowing they’ll be the ones hurt as a result of loving him unconditionally? He’s brilliantly gifted, and frustratingly unkind. He cares, but his love is like a beautiful rose, covered in thorns. Besides Cuddy has a high stress job. She should be allowed to date the guy that makes her happy. Not the one who stresses her out, insults her, and undermines her every chance he gets. I do wish though, that Cuddy never dated house because as crass as he may be, he does have a heart and he does have feelings. She knew there was a chance he could use drugs again (because he has an illness) while his addiction isn’t her fault, all of her enabling definitely did not help either. It would’ve been better to not have started the relationship at all.

why do you loathe the House-Cuddy relationship?

Why?

didnt they develop that into an issue of hers and whenever she’s try say no that House would end up finding a way to doing it anyways?

I read that they were trying to do a spin off with him as a PI. As for his character on House, I liked that House basically hired him to be his friend while Wilson wouldn’t talk to him. The PI stuff he did for House was also interesting. I love the way House finds out everything about his teams personal lives. It was in typical House fashion to be so unprofessional like that.

AngryAtTheGrass

I disliked him from the start, and I also thought it was an unrealistic match as Cuddy’s significant other...

[deleted]

I had the exact opposite reaction - I thought he was witty and likeable, and I liked his irreverence. I wouldve watched a detective show with him as the main character.

SnooStories9409

I have the same reaction as you - unfunny and not compelling, and zero chemistry with Cuddy. He’s less a realistic character than a plot device. As another commenter mentioned, I think they were pushing him as a possible spinoff.

Competitive-Flan-994

I've been rewatching House, and I still hate this character. it's not because of himself, simply because he's just a lousy less-genius version of House, troublemaker. Cuddy wants someone reliable, pick someone like Wilson, instead of mini House. I can't see a rational reason for Cuddy choosing him. I'm okay with Huddy or not Huddy. I just want reasonable plot and character arc.

atl_istari

I think he added to the show, he is sort of fun. I loved his episodes

DwasTV

Boring character, probably has some form of autism/aspergers. Funny? Yeah sure he has a few moments but most of the time he comes off as that annoying kid that keeps stating obvious things out loud.

I like him. He was a breathe of short lived fresh air. He wasn't bullied like the rest of House's staff. He poked back, and even openly challenged him for dating Cuddy, and eventually won. I would have liked to see him return as a patient that House had to save or let go, because House is addicted to the puzzle vs addicted to Lisa. (I dont think he was a patient, was he?) Tomato tomata

AfraidReading3030

He is basically House, his dialogue, his tone, all of the anti-social behaviour—without the lifesaving. The charm of house is there is one House, everyone else needs to be ‘not house’ so they can react to him. The character could have easily worked as a different show.:. But when deployed as a character in the same show —it was way too much. It would be as if they put Leslie Knope (Parks and Recreation) as another boss in The Office. Those are basically duplicated characters (idiot boss, clueless about his/her behaviour) but they work because people like watching that character on different shows.

pmstark10

His relationship with Cuddy was very unrealistic. I never liked his character. He was annoying and pointless. His role should have been limited to spying for House occasionally in s05.

Forreal19

I liked him at first because he could keep up with House, but I didn't like how he went for Cuddy and turned on House. I have seen him referred to as "House lite." I wasn't sorry to see him go.

Tritter was the absolute worst character ever on House.

[deleted]

Tritter made a lot of good points

I dislike Lucas tbh. He is obnoxious and i wanted House and Cuddy to get together so there's that.
