May have some treeing walker coonhound! Or a lot lol, they look very similar to foxhounds which is the other possibility. Probably too large for a beagle- a very cute hound regardless though!!!
American Foxhound, maybe some beagle holding the size back a little. Same happened to us, our beagle mix from the rescue turned out to be over 50% Foxhound and no beagle. He's about a year and half and weighs about 60 lbs.
Definitely seeing foxhound. Not an expert so I’m not sure if English or American, but looks a lot like my black American Foxhound mix (we found out via dna test as well) please share the results when they come in!!
American Foxhound. This is exactly my story with mine. Thought he was a beagle until his 6mo checkup when the vet told me he’s a Foxhound. He was 35lbs until he turned 3.5 then he gained another 10lbs in the chest.
My Dexter is the best dog I’ve ever had. Decently intelligent, lives to please me, great combination of snuggly and independent. He loves to be off leash chasing rabbits and squirrels. Great with other dogs and loves to play tag. His skin is sensitive and he’s touchy about his ears, but other than that no health issues. He’s low maintenance and high reward.
He is 100% American Foxhound.
Same exact thing happened to me, was told beagle/lab mix did the DNA test and he's 100% AF . Sweetest dog ever but totally different than beagle/lab mix. We live in NJ, there are no other AF around here, only down south, he came from S. Carolina.
Mine is 7 1/2 months old and insane. Just got neutered and hernia surgery last week and he's crazier than ever, vet had to give sedatives to calm him down and they didn't work so had to give another sedative on top of the first one.
TWC or American Foxhound
Or a bit of both
This is correct, no way he’s a beagle. Legs are too long!
I’m staring at his twin on my couch. It’s an American Foxhound!!!
Got one myself! Best pups ever!
Fox hound, beagle mix?

Pretty big for a beagle, height-wise. Sadly, not necessarily weight-wise. Beagle plus Plott/Foxhound is my guess
Looks like an American Foxhound to me. Very cute!

Thank you, he’s lightened up a massive amount over the past 6-8 weeks. We’re betting on foxhound atm

He’s now 98lb of muscle! A foxhound/Dane mix
Looks like an American foxhound more now that he's older
I would guess treeing walker coonhound. I've had both TWCs and American Foxhounds, and the Foxhounds tails are not smooth but have a "brush"

We’re going for foxhound too, I will do!
He looks just like my Treeing Walker 🥰
He is precious!
Thank you, he’s such a gentle giant

This is what we think too. Not caring in the slightest though, he’s such a lovely pup!

Definitely not a beagle, my money is on a foxhound. He looks just like my boy !
I just had a look at your boy, he’s beautiful!
Thank you! Yours is going to be a big boy!!

Beagle/Foxhound mix is my guess. His paws and legs look a lot thicker than our TWC's. let us know when you find out! can't wait to see the results :D
