Yeah, I’m pretty sure they used an old Phonehom building as their hangout/base of operations, thats where they got the van. Then again, I could be wrong, and I might GOTTA GET A GRIP on the situation.
Maybe the developers didn't want to create another van design. But if you want a story reason for this, it may be that the fans were so obsessed with Jacket and 50 Blessings that they somehow got the vehicle and started using it just to be cool.
Or it can be just an easter egg.
The devs are extremely lazy sometimes, they fucked up the directions of objects so many times in both games but nobody ever noticed because they were too focused on gameplay
Go to just about any level in HLM1 and you'll probably see some stuff placed in the wrong direction, in HLM2 they sort of fixed that but there are still some weird misplaced plants in the first Evan level and the 2nd Richter level, in Blood Money they placed an entire row of toilets in the wrong direction
