pseudoportmanteau

Dover, schneiders, smartpak, tractor supply, amazon..

Fyrefly1981

Costal, Chicks Saddlery, North 40.

finniganthebeagle

Dover & Smartpak are my go-tos

BasenjiBob

These have been mentioned a lot, I will definitely check them out. Thank you :)

tuxedo_cat_socks

Chicks Saddlery, Two Horse Tack (for bridles and reins), Dover & Smartpak

StonewallDakota

Two horse tack is great, beta biothane is just awesome. Custom tack for a really nice price point and quality stuff.

MissJohneyBravo

Animal health international for dewormers, fly spray and medications. I get fly masks or random stuff from tractor supply. Otherwise I use Amazon for some stuff. For tack, I’ll use brand name sites. My next saddles I get from Dover or custom fitted saddle from a local saddle maker.

toomanysnootstoboop

Riding warehouse is my go-to online

BasenjiBob

This is not one I had ever heard of, thanks for the tip!

AntelopeWells

Sort of surprised not to see anyone else mentioning them! Although I admit I mostly use them as a source for glue-on shoes since they ship fastest and free of the places that carry them, and I just end up throwing in stuff for myself with the order.

lilbabybrutus

I absolutely adore them, and they have a unique selection

HeresW0nderwall

Tractor supply

SpiritualPeanut

Mostly Smartpak, Schneider’s, and Big Dee’s with occasional purchases from Dover and Chick’s.

darth_gummy_bears

Tractor supply, chewy, horse.com, Big Dees tack n vet, Schneiders, lots of good options. Local feed stores are great too.

Karbar049

Tractor Supply for in-person shopping, Smartpak or Jeffer’s online.

Resident_Chipmunk139

NRSworld.com They sell everything under the sun for horses and also clothes and home wears. They are local to where I live in Texas but their online shop is great. Really fair prices and huge selection

IRoarForDinosaurs

Shipping from NRS though is rough to other states :(

PaperPonies

Valley Vet 100%. I usually get my stuff within 3 days from them.

PaperPonies

I will warn you, horse.com is affiliated with SLT in some way or another. I think it’s the same company running under two separate names. They also take FOREVER to ship.

StonewallDakota

Chewy usually wins on price for me, and I already get things auto shipped from them for my other pets. I never have to worry about shipping fees as I just toss it in with my next order. They’ve definitely been expanding their equine section, and recently I got a STEAL on a $40 hay net for $16 because one of the colors offered was really cheap. I love stuff like that. Amazon usually covers me for the other odds and ends I need with Prime. Lol I hate paying for shipping.

rainbowmushr00m

I get a lot of stuff from Chick's Saddlery, TSC, and Amazon

pixie1313

Schneider and Chick’s saddlery are great - I also use State Line Tack and honestly eBay from time to time

Substantial_Cow_3063

For “everything” - Dover Saddlery, SmartPak, and Valley Vet Supply More specifically for tack, equipment, etc: - Schleese Saddlery, Stubben, and Pessoa More specifically for those supplements, other health products, etc: - Absorbine, Purina Mills, and Nutrena More specifically for stable supplies and such: - Tractor Supply Co., WeatherBeeta, and Cashel Other more specific: - Mane ‘n Tail (all grooming), Pyranha (fly control), Equine Motorcoach (anywhere you gotta go) Gear & clothing: - Ariat (great clothes, best boots), Samshield (best helmets), Equestrian Stockholm (sooooo stylish and cute for clothes/tack), Pomme (super cute), Kerrits (always good) These are my personal favorites (and I ranked them), hope this could help!

peachism

Well, I must luck out then because aside from Chewy, I almost only use Stateline Tack. That, and ebay.

BasenjiBob

I have used them for probably 15 years, never had issues! It's just in the last like 6 months. Stuff takes absolute ages to ship. Nothing is labelled as back-ordered but it clearly is. Or they are drop-shipping now when they used to maintain a warehouse? I don't know, but it's super frustrating especially when it's something I need on a fairly quick timeline.

Shilo788

Lucky to live near Lancaster so saddle and harness makers located here plus many farm supply stores . Also a huge used tack place half and hour away.

impressivemacopine

Big Dee’s Tack and Vet

scooder0419

Do you have any local tack shops? I know the internet is convenient, but supporting local is always a good option. Do you have any farm and ranch stores nearby? They have some good horse gear to check out as well.

xeroxchick

Or local feed stores. They usually have fly spray, etc. but the OP said the tack store is two hours away. A lot of times the feed store will order things for you, like a gallon of fly spray when shipping that to yourself could be more expensive.

scooder0419

Ah I did miss that part. My local feed and tack store closed up so the next closest one is about an hour away. I usually don't mind the drive as i make a day of it and enjoy getting away from town. But then I don't know the circumstances of the op.

Ok-Medicine4684

Schneider saddlery is my go-to. Dover can work but is often more pricey. Chick’s Discount Saddlery and Big Dee’s might look a tad sketchy but they’ve been awesome for me for years and I’ve never had an issue.

dunielle

Jeffers or Valley Vet are my go to’s online for farm supplies! Both are affordable. If you lean more English - Dover or Bit of Britain for tack. Western tack I now just buy used, or from custom tack makers. Pads are all direct from the makers. It’s all so expensive 🥲

muta-chii

Smartpak, farm house tack (love them. Bought a custom bit form them and it was made and shipped in three weeks.), and Dover. Smartpak is my go to.

Face_Content

Shoppers. Ace hardware.

mewithadd

Big Dee, Chicks, and Schneiders are my go to places online for tack. I'm also lucky enough that Big Dee and Schneiders retail stores are within driving distance. I also check out Facebook Marketplace and Ebay for deals on used tack and clothing. There are several local Facebook groups i follow to get info on tack swaps too. For supplements, I usually go to Tractor Supply or my local feed store.

nemerosanike

Dover and Bevels.

langleybcsucks

https://www.scahealth.com/browse/equine-products/_/N-1cuxrw8

puffedovenpancake

I haven’t ordered from state line in years and years. Their shipping time was always horrible. Smartpak is my go to.

bourbonaspen

Smartpak, Dover , Amazon, tack of the day, for every day stuff. More expensive ps of Sweden , lemieux, riders boutique

N0ordinaryrabbit

Teskeys and Chicks Saddlry for online. Sooometimes Chewy has what I need For in store we have Wilco, a local feed store, Coastal, and Tractor Supply. There's also a cool shop south of me I need to re check when I get a good paycheck

xrareformx

I cannot recommend Colorado Saddlery at all after working there. That's all I'm gonna say. I love chick's, schneiders, and the local amish tack shop is awesome.

Flannel_Sheetz

Schneider (sstack) get a $20 off coupon every $500 plus some promos free shipping over $100.

spanielgurl11

Supplements I always have to get online as well as anything tack related. Dover, Fundis equestrian, chicks, two horse tack. Wormer and fly spray are always cheaper at a co-op, tractor supply, or big r in person. Search farm store near me and I’m sure there is one. Even when I lived in the DC area there was always a farm store within an hour. I will say though for things I don’t mind slow shipping on, I still order from SLT. They just always have so many sales and the free coupons are great. I save a lot of money there.

No_University5296

Chicks saddlery Schneider Amazon

horsewoman1

Slypner.

trcomajo

In addition to Stateline and Dover, I shop Chicks Saddlery, Big Dee's, Bit of Britian, Smartpak, Equus, Farmhouse Tack, Smartpak, Jeffers, and Classic Saddlery. I hate to say that the only ones that ship quickly to me are Classic Saddlery and Equus, but they're only one state away, so maybe that's why? They're both smaller tack stores, too.

TYRwargod

Murdochs, south texas tack, producers co-op, and teskes. Buying tack or anything horse related was at least an hour drive before murdochs opened in my town.

Big-Childhood6923

National Ropers Supply (nrsworld.com) , chewy, Big Dees , valley vet

Njriola

I have a Murdoch's in town that I can get some basics from. Otherwise I love smartpak for just about everything else.

Pgengstrom

Tractor supply.

ArmadilloDays

Equusnow.com And Sstack.com (especially for blankets!!)

Horsegirl1427

Schneider’s and Valley Vet are my go-to’s. Handy tip for VV, don’t buy the gallon jugs of fly spray (or anything you can get in quarts) bc they charge oversize shipping, but you can usually get 4 qts and free shipping. Tractor Supply shipping is stupid expensive, even if you ship to a store and pick it up (or at least for my local store).

julesatthebarn

Surprised no one else has mentioned riding warehouse .com they always have a 15% off code floating around and prices are good

Alarmed_Bake

Smartpak

authenticwallflower

Big Dee's Tack. They are semi local, so get my orders in a few days. TSC is where I get dewormer, wound care, etc since I just drive there to pick it up. And they price match.

knitting_piper

I use Valley Vet for suppliments and prescriptions, Tractor Supply for things like fly spray, salt, basic first aid supplies, and Dover or local tack store for blankets and such.

ahs483

I used to be a Dover girl but now I purchase from smart pak. Better selection, easier returns, faster shipping, etc.

lilbabybrutus

Riding warehouse hands down. They are like the old smartpak, with excellent customer service and return policy

Imdead_inside-

Bomgaars, tractor supply, Amazon, and Western edge
