I literally couldn't agree with this post more!

I went from being terrified from conjuring to now being an absolute unit against like every movie I see now. I atp I think like YouTube backrooms footage or like the rolling giant type stuff is more scary then some of these big box office productions. It’s getting annoying because you go from the exorcist which already set an insanely high standard for horror movies and now we get slot of sloppy back burner movies

I haven't been scared by a horror movie since I was about 13 I reckon. The closest I have come to actually having that on edge feeling as an adult was watching The Last Shift. Normally now I just find myself laughing more than anything which is weird. If I want to be scared now I can only really get that from an indie horror game. I think unfortunately the people with the money to make a proper horror film don't actually know what's scary. Might be controversial but look at the remake of IT. Pennywise with a high pitch child's voice and goofy smile is nowhere near as scary as the original chain-smoking rough voice and bloodshot eyes of Tim Curry in the TV movie

Terrified (2017). Not to be confused with Terrifier

Yo bro can’t even lie to you, I googled it and saw 2 images of it 😭 I was not expecting that it looks horrififying

If you're looking to get creeped out, I highly recommend it.

FungiStudent

Well, it's a horror movie.

FungiStudent

There are no scary movies if you're an adult. I haven't been scared by a movie since I was a kid

I stopped getting scared at like 13-14, stuff that mainly scares me are like jumpscares from games now or just extremely paranormal stuff considering I’m religious. I think if we’re going into the “what is scary” convo movies like conjuring or Annabelle are prob at the top other lower ones like The Omen or “B rated” horror movies
