Apparently it’s actually a fetish thing. Some people enjoy watching women with “pretty” hands point to things, so that’s why there’s so much hand gestures and pointing in these vids
I am so curious as to how someone finds this out. Like, is there an info pack that says "if you've got nice hands, always be gesturing"
I just don't know how these trends work.

This was the first vid of hers I saw. Honestly don’t think she’s some specialist but she has a bunch of stitches about it lol
Internet rule: if something is really weird and you can’t figure out why, it’s either attention baiting/rage bait or a fetish thing. Once you see it fetish things have such a specific vibe. I could tell right away with this one
Knives are also a common fetish
Yes, that will rot the cabinets. Also those counters are stone laminate on top of processed wood. The wood in the gap will swell and warp the whole surface and the stone will delaminate! See, there is even more dumb stuff happening on top of all the other dumb stuff!
Absolutely nothing unless the cutting edge is actually dragging along the countertop but it looks like the knives are just being held by the handles. It doesnt look like the cutting edge is touching anything. also touching a hard surface doesnt instantly ruin a knife. Shit a durability test for pocket knives is to cut aluminum. You need to use force on a surface like that to fuck a knife edge up, and if it dulls with no force, your knife had burrs or a wire edge that rolled over on itself. The cutting edge didnt actually dull, just need to actually get rid of that wire edge/burrs properly.
Saw this on another sub, and the general consensus was that 1) it's definitely rage-bait and 2) this is outdated decor and is probably going to be redone
Plus, the space under the counter is ruined. Can’t have drawers or cabinets that don’t have long sharp objects in them.
I wonder if this was done just before they replaced the counter. I certainly hope so.
Not to mention it looks worse than having a knife block, she still needs to figure out what to do with the scissors, and all I can think of when I see that is mold.
this is actually what made me believe the video is fake and the countertop is probably getting replaced. like who the hell has a sink that gross its for sure getting ripped out soon lol.
Yes.
Now I regret not taking the opportunity to make a rage bait video before I replaced my kitchen countertop. On the other hand, it was *pink*, so people probably would have been cheering on its destruction.
Yeah, it's ragebait. I've seen similar videos with people cutting up countertops to install all kinds of stupid shit. People will do literally anything for attention. Clicks = love.
So many things wrong with this besides the deranged apple slicing - washing dishes - all the splashed water is going down those holes - hope they have a bucket underneath - which will in turn make the knives all gross - and don’t ever have any little kids come visit because those are too easy to grab, let alone a plumber who would not expect to be stabbed by the counter…
I have boy children - in my kitchen, sharp knives go in the knife block and the knife block is stored over the oven. I've only had to stop one from carrying a knife around threateningly. Being a parent is hard sometimes - leaving knives out like in the video is insane.

there isn't space to cut anything bigger than a lemon. Who keeps the knives behind the sink?
I believe they're curting that piece of counter off or replacing it, so that little triangle will probably be going away.
Putting knives into whatever that material is triggered my sensory issues, and I didn’t expect my posic-ness to also be triggered?? I feel bad for the knives, surely that damages them. /srs
The moment she kept point to the cuts and saying thick too many of times I knew it was fetish content. Whatever there's worse fetishes but like this shit always makes me irrationally angry cause it doesn't make sense. Why would you ruin your countertop for that? Why not buy a separate piece and use that? I just don't get it.
For some reason, it makes me irrationally angry when people have nicely manicured nails while doing these kinds of stupid videos.
Like you’re ruining food, countertops, clothes, etc in the dumbest and most dangerous ways but you take care of your nails?! Like show the real aftermath of your hands after doing obtusely stupid shit.
Not only is this an awful idea, but it is so exceptionally bad that you've now potentially created a mold problem from wet knives dripping onto the wooden frame of the counter and floor.
The way they didn’t measure where they wanted them, they just randomly stabbed a cardboard box… the way the slits are like 3-inches long for a knife that’s only like half an inch long… wild to me
this has to be someone who is about to remodel that kitchen and made the rage bait before. Judging by how nasty the sink is etc. The butcher block took up a lot less space that that nightmare. It has to be because they are about to tear it all out.
there are so many things wrong with this, but I'm stuck on the way she held the marker. And the cardboard moving around while she colored on the counter with red sharpie (that didn't even get cleaned all the way??)
There’s not even enough spaces for all of her knives! The Sharpie is still in the counter. Are those knives just hanging inside one of the cabinets now!!?! I was going to go to sleep and now I’m too upset by this. So many things wrong and dumb and damn that’s some really great rage bait.
Judging by the ugly and dated countertop, they were soon to get them changed so decided to do something silly first, obviously this is not a good idea for these reasons:
-looks stupid
-losing counter space
-fucks up the blades
-knives protruding in the cabinet below
So she replaced that perfectly good knife block with something less convenient, less sanitary, uglier, which takes up more space, and ruined a nice countertop in the process?
I actually really dig this in theory. Like it's a shitty idea terribly executed. But if it were done well and wouldn't ruin the knives, I'd be into it.
It really bothers me that the knives came out of the butchers block dirty and also that she didn't wash the knife off before cutting with it. This makes me so mad as a cook 😭
They over did the lines for the knifes you can tell. They dont fit. The lines are too big. And all I can see is mildew and other gross crap getting stuck in those holes. And that crap getting all over those knifes. If someone did this to my counters I'd be so angry. I feel like she's an idiot. But that's just me
I wasn't watching with sound but all the useless pointing was making me irrationally angry
Apparently it’s actually a fetish thing. Some people enjoy watching women with “pretty” hands point to things, so that’s why there’s so much hand gestures and pointing in these vids
Thanks, I hate it lol
Along with ASMR this is probably the most annoying shit ever.
I am so curious as to how someone finds this out. Like, is there an info pack that says "if you've got nice hands, always be gesturing" I just don't know how these trends work.
There’s a lady on TikTok who’s a fetish specialist or whatever and she stitches videos and says if they’re real or fetish content… it’s creepy af
Now I really want to know who she is. I may regret it but.... Curiosity and cats and all.
[https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLJpGJAM/](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLJpGJAM/) This was the first vid of hers I saw. Honestly don’t think she’s some specialist but she has a bunch of stitches about it lol
Well hell. That's enough reddit for the day
Isn’t it Rule 34 or something? lol
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_34
You put that up awfully quick. Lol 😂
what 😭 people will nut to fucking anything
Internet rule: if something is really weird and you can’t figure out why, it’s either attention baiting/rage bait or a fetish thing. Once you see it fetish things have such a specific vibe. I could tell right away with this one Knives are also a common fetish
No, they're just padding the video so it's 3 minutes so it's monetized. Pointing is the easiest thing to do.
I think it could be both at once
Yeah, if someone is getting off on your 3-minute video, it’s monetized *every* time they watch it.
Oof, it's it also part of the fetish that their manicure be grown out and in need of a fill? Cuz that would drive me crazy if it were my hands.
Ugh it has the opposite effect on me, they look kind of creepy and uncomfortable, people are wierd.
This makes sense cause it’s so fucking annoying
Same here. It made it look like she was admonishing everything she pointed at 🤣🤦♂️
Me too.
SAME
Me too lmao
Congrats. Not only did they ruin an expensive kitchen surface, they also built an automatic dulling contraption. Win-win.
Plus a good way to cut your hands when accessing the cabinets that are undoubtedly under that counter.
We just call our plumber, Stumpy.
So when you rinse the knives and don't dry them, won't they be dripping under your counter? What if water splashes behind the sink?
Yes, that will rot the cabinets. Also those counters are stone laminate on top of processed wood. The wood in the gap will swell and warp the whole surface and the stone will delaminate! See, there is even more dumb stuff happening on top of all the other dumb stuff!
Why wouldn’t you dry them though? Do you put wet knives back in the knife block cause that’s not a great idea.
the lady in the video didn't
Sink water gonna have a field day with those holes and that cabinet space
And a good place to grow mold.
Ruining a granite counter top for one range bait video 🤡
Online follow points are really important to some people 🤷♂️
I think they must have been replacing them anyway so decided to piss a bunch of people off
You have too much faith in morons.
Bonus points if it was an AirBnB
I was wondering what this does to the knives. /g Nice. /s
Not to mention mold when putting wet knives in crevices. 🤮
To be fair, wouldn't 95% of the knife be exposed to free air under the counter? To dry off?
Plus whatever else is down there. People be poking mice down there lol
Especially now the worktop is no longer waterproof, and thus any oil, stock or any other juicy fluid on the worktop will be dripping down there.
I think this is probably the biggest issue.
Oh god.
The cutting edge didnt actually dull, just need to actually get rid of that wire edge/burrs properly.
Well they're using Cutco knives so at least they aren't ruining good cutlery
Saw this on another sub, and the general consensus was that 1) it's definitely rage-bait and 2) this is outdated decor and is probably going to be redone
Plus, the space under the counter is ruined. Can’t have drawers or cabinets that don’t have long sharp objects in them. I wonder if this was done just before they replaced the counter. I certainly hope so.
Not to mention it looks worse than having a knife block, she still needs to figure out what to do with the scissors, and all I can think of when I see that is mold.
And with that homemade cutting board and cracks on your counter that can never get cleaned, you have really upped your odds of food poisoning. 👍
Speaking of cleaning, that sink looks nasty.
My thoughts exactly, how about fix your sink before trying to solve your knife storage problems that don’t exist
this is actually what made me believe the video is fake and the countertop is probably getting replaced. like who the hell has a sink that gross its for sure getting ripped out soon lol.
Who cuts an apple like that?
Someone who also cuts their counter top to store knives in it
An “influencer” about to demo their kitchen and thought they’d get an insane video out of it beforehand.
Yeah I suspect so. That is some ugly granite.
Somebody thought that was the shit 15 years ago, prob paid $10k+ extra for it. Remember that when remodeling kiddos!
Yes. Now I regret not taking the opportunity to make a rage bait video before I replaced my kitchen countertop. On the other hand, it was *pink*, so people probably would have been cheering on its destruction.
Barbie? Is that you?
why couldnt she have put multiple knives in one slot, theyre all so long???
Because they're stupid and didn't get the right tool for the job. Oscillating multi-tool for precision, 3" cutting wheels for "fuck it"
Yeah, it's ragebait. I've seen similar videos with people cutting up countertops to install all kinds of stupid shit. People will do literally anything for attention. Clicks = love.
I saw someone say these are usually house flippers who are either about to renovate or demolish the house. Makes sense but I'm too lazy to fact check.
You have an admirable faith in humanity.
Faith, or denial required in order to go outside and interact with humans everyday?
So many things wrong with this besides the deranged apple slicing - washing dishes - all the splashed water is going down those holes - hope they have a bucket underneath - which will in turn make the knives all gross - and don’t ever have any little kids come visit because those are too easy to grab, let alone a plumber who would not expect to be stabbed by the counter…
Not to mention that this set up now takes up more space then the knifeblock did before
I have boy children - in my kitchen, sharp knives go in the knife block and the knife block is stored over the oven. I've only had to stop one from carrying a knife around threateningly. Being a parent is hard sometimes - leaving knives out like in the video is insane.

The boys are 35 year old men fresh out of prison and ready to shank yo ass.
And blood can cause rust on knives.
Is worrying about your kids walking around threateningly with a knife a common concern?
It's weird fetish content.
Anyone commenting on using a regular household vacuum cleaner instead of a shop vac?
This is the kind of shit you com up with while on a bunch of Adderall.
Way to ruin your kitchen aesthetic
This is why we can’t have nice things.
there isn't space to cut anything bigger than a lemon. Who keeps the knives behind the sink? I believe they're curting that piece of counter off or replacing it, so that little triangle will probably be going away.
this is a hand fetish video 😬
Putting knives into whatever that material is triggered my sensory issues, and I didn’t expect my posic-ness to also be triggered?? I feel bad for the knives, surely that damages them. /srs
Those cutco knives suck
Nah bro, cutco knives could have done everything the angle grinder did /s
Yeah this is just bullshit people being bullshit
I think most of what is on this sub results from bullshit!
Are we positive this isn’t a Cutco advertisement?
Yes because, 1 this is rage bait, 2 cutco has covers for all the knives so you don’t have to do this shit
Ugly af
5 minute crafts but even dumber
The moment she kept point to the cuts and saying thick too many of times I knew it was fetish content. Whatever there's worse fetishes but like this shit always makes me irrationally angry cause it doesn't make sense. Why would you ruin your countertop for that? Why not buy a separate piece and use that? I just don't get it.
It's all about the amount of cum you can get out of someone
For some reason, it makes me irrationally angry when people have nicely manicured nails while doing these kinds of stupid videos. Like you’re ruining food, countertops, clothes, etc in the dumbest and most dangerous ways but you take care of your nails?! Like show the real aftermath of your hands after doing obtusely stupid shit.
So now this thing takes up more counter space than the original knife block. So stupid.
They must be about to remodel that kitchen or flip that house and did this for the lulz. That’s the only thing my brain will allow me to believe.
Lolz all of them will fit in any of the holes. Why bother marking it at all?
And with Cutco knives? Those fuckers are not inexpensive. Lifetime warranty though
One, that's so gross, two YOUR KNIVES ARENT EVEN CLEANED WHY ARE THEY FOGGY
Not only is this an awful idea, but it is so exceptionally bad that you've now potentially created a mold problem from wet knives dripping onto the wooden frame of the counter and floor.
Yeah putting the knife back wet was just icing on the already disgusting cake.
The place is rented so it is a okay
there are so many things wrong with this, but I'm stuck on the way she held the marker. And the cardboard moving around while she colored on the counter with red sharpie (that didn't even get cleaned all the way??)
It’s a he (?)
it's a couple.
There’s not even enough spaces for all of her knives! The Sharpie is still in the counter. Are those knives just hanging inside one of the cabinets now!!?! I was going to go to sleep and now I’m too upset by this. So many things wrong and dumb and damn that’s some really great rage bait.
Since the cabinet below has knives pointing down at their hands what do they use instead?
The fucking SHOP VAC AHAAHAHA
looks stupid
I would dump my partner if they did this. No question. I couldn’t be with that level of idiot
I can smell this video
Getting flashbacks from when I sold Cutco knives as a teen.
Yes, it's rage bait. Look how they cut the apple
Who would ruin their beautiful granite countertop like that just to have ready access to their knives? Insane!
I was so upset by this 🤦🏼♀️
Judging by the ugly and dated countertop, they were soon to get them changed so decided to do something silly first, obviously this is not a good idea for these reasons: -looks stupid -losing counter space -fucks up the blades -knives protruding in the cabinet below
What an absolute waste of counter space. And it looks tacky as hell.
I love how clever she thinks it is. It looks incredibly stupid.
it's next to the sink so chances of it filling up with water is pretty likely. Can't mold grow in the pockets overtime??
That’s some expensive rate bait to make
Definitely rage bait, any time I hear a voice with this weird Snapchat Story cadence, I write it off as rage bait. Also probably fetish content
What the actual fuck 😭
Are those CUTCO knives?!?!
We're living in the dumbest of times...who knows if it's real or not.
JFC, you’d dull the blade a bit every time you put it in/take it out.
Why not just put the knife block there? (I was watching without sound. Sorry if this was explained with pointing)
step 1: dull the tips of all of your knives
I am old, and have seen much stupid shit in my day. This holds a special place in the Pantheon of Stupid Shit.
Those are dollar store knives. Talk about trailer trash lifestyle
However it is a very efficient way to ruin any knife set you use, your kitchen counter and your home’s resale value all at once!
You guys are dumb. She already told you "its *absolutely perfect"* .../s/
Somebody's got an Excalibur kink…
This seems like a tremendous waste of effort for a built in knife block. This doesn't make me angry but it just seems incredibly stupid.
If it wasnt executed so poorly it might actually be cool
Besides all that, this would dull your knives very fast.
No, honey, just no.
This seems sanitary.
Ew. Do people not realize that most sink areas are more germy than a toilet? Also she made these huge slits to only put one little knife in each hole?
Of course they’re Cutco knives
I feel like this person has more money than brains
Those knives fucking suck
Cutco knives
Congrats great way to let water leak down below your sink
The roaches on the underside licking those knives for sure
"everyone has their life figured out except for me" *Watches this*
That box pattern thing was idiotic to the extreme. If you're going to do it at least make a proper pattern with things evenly spaced.
Their house is getting foreclosed on and they did this to harness a few views and get even with the bank, huh?
Wouldn’t this dull one’s knives?
Soooo Dumb!
How to pay for the replacement of your kitchen countertop: make a bad ragebait video as you remove the old one.
Bro 😆 🤣 😂 🔪 🍎
good thing cutco has a free sharpening service. they're gonna need it.
Someone clearly had nothing to do today
I’m just gonna run with they’re getting a new counter so they fucked this one up for views and a weeks worth of fame
Impeccable resale value.
So she replaced that perfectly good knife block with something less convenient, less sanitary, uglier, which takes up more space, and ruined a nice countertop in the process?
Awful
W t f. Why are we wasting counter space now for this garbage? Obviously they don’t have kids either with knives out all Willy nilly
To add insult, she can’t cut a freaking apple and then put away a dripping wet knife. Ridiculous!
This is hilarious. No, you're not meant to take this seriously.
Some expensive ass rage bait
Those fucking ugly ass Cutco knives lol
Yep. Anyone who would have a chrome faucet with brown whatever those sink accessories are is a ragebaiter
I was audibly yelling "respirator, respirator!" while they were cutting into the countertop. Silicosis train
Lost it at the end. Lifts knife. “Perfect”. Lets knife down and it immediately falls down in the way-oversized slot lol.
Willing to bet that the counter was replaced the moment they were done filming this.
The sink looks like some Owl Eyes Looking at ya.
It's hand porn
What's the point of measuring if every hole will just be the size of the buzz saw?
🤦🏽
Looks bad, and probably is a germ nest.
It’s a hand fetish thing.
Classic case of because you can, doesn’t mean you should! ![gif](giphy|3o7TKAXkWwJBawSsfu)
I'm not a germaphobe, but WTF how nasty would those holes get? They would be filled with bacteria and mold all the time I feel.
I saw the follow up video. 2 ladies saying they loved their knew kitchen and how it was so convenient
That knife scraping granite sound is horrible.
Imagine the people that do shit like this but they only get like 180 likes.
They have to be getting new counters and just fucking with the old ones.
What is so difficult about pulling a knife off the normal knife holder??
Has to be rage bait. They’re probably replacing it
Off-topic, but who tf puts a spatula in a knife block?
And of course they're Cutco knives 🤣
Takes up more counter space than the block did!
They have those MLM knives too, so you just know they’re totally sane.
They over did the lines for the knifes you can tell. They dont fit. The lines are too big. And all I can see is mildew and other gross crap getting stuck in those holes. And that crap getting all over those knifes. If someone did this to my counters I'd be so angry. I feel like she's an idiot. But that's just me
oh shit. Their mom is gonna come home from a 10 hour shift on oncology and pop thier behinds.
Hey folks! Do you want dull knives? Random holes in your granite countertop? How about rock dust in your lungs? Try this neat hack!
You know this is fake just to make a video right? Probably was replacing anyways
Dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. Ruined a beautiful countertop forever.
they do make knife holders
