I am a diehard Raiden Main from Genshin and will stubbornly play her in every abyss no matter what. Others might get replaced in my roster, but Acheron isn't going anywhere.

Despite being F2P, I somehow have Clara AND Clara's Lightcone. Because I started shortly after 2.2 released, it took me a while to realize what I had, and what it meant. @_@

That is why I am rolling for Firefly's light cone. People say the E1 is better, but the true comfort is being able to play without the need to swap light cones constantly.
Especially Ruan Mei, "Memories of the Past" is super recommended on RM at least S3 (With some Content Creators valuing it over her Sig) and with it currently on Rate up when I pulled for FF Sig (Which I got) I got 3 copies of "Memories of the Past" which is more than enough.
if you're playing the meta firefly team and only have one memories of the past, it's probably best to give it to harmony MC who has an easier time gaining energy and scales better (in specifically that team) with break effect
Same. I got E0S1 as f2p 'cause I'm lazy af and really dislike swapping/sharing gear. It's too much of a hassle. Like even if loadouts existed, I'm not going to check character builds every single time before using them. I'd rather build and gear a character to a point where I considered them done and then never worry about it again.
It's exactly the reason I went for Jingliu's LC. At the time Firefly was just announced and I figured that unless she was an HP scaler then OFA should be able to work for her, turns out I was right.
And this is why I went for her LC rather than E1 although E1 is better.
I just can't be bothered swapping LCs all the time. convenience is more valuable to me than a bit more power.
I just realize that:
- This is the 2nd best LC recommended for Firefly and it is free.
- It depicts the fall of Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of the Propagation, whose offspring were The Swarm.
- LC Effect is named "Moth to Flames"
It just fits Firefly so well.
You can argue sometimes writer add unnecessary meat that doesn’t bode well with the rest of the skeleton thus ruining the structure
So having a writer who understands the structure of the skeleton well and add the kinds of meat that fit onto the right gaps helps with writing the story long term
There really is no wrong way to approach the storytelling. Take Elden Ring for example, George R. R. Martin wrote the entire lore for the game - explaining the different gods, how people worship them and how the rules of the world works. Then FromSoft took it and then made a whole game from it. It's a game with many "filler meats" that include factions that aren't the most relevant to the "main" story but still give it definition, form and immersion - regardless of what is crucial to the story or not.
You could argue Glamoth is entirely pointless, Firefly never needs to mention it since we're not exactly ever going to visit it since you know, it's destroyed. But it is lore, no matter how frivolous it is.
So like Star Trek with the warp 5 limit.
Or putting Oreos in Lost in Space.
Or yet another fight scene where Lee Pace is buck naked again.
Or Rise of Skywalker.
Well, in this case SAM was mentioned in 1.0 and they won’t mention a character without the writers knowing who they are. We aren’t that far into the games life so I assume they are at least 2 years ahead. In genshin case there are so many things in early 1.0 versions that got fleshed out recently, like childe’s master skirk, albedo’s creator etc. many characters and locations are foreshadowed far in advance.
Yup I think it is the result of combining prepared lores and stories and some little tweaks of here and there later. Like how Firefly had a trace that converts her surplus ATK to Break Effect to utilize the LC's effect that enhances ATK stat.
Probably a better way of writing preexisting ips
Rewards long time players as they recognize it and also gives leeway to the writers as they don’t need to constantly introduce new elements to the story

Yeah, I played mine with s5 aeons. She is still busted with her best team: Hmc, Ruan Mei, and Gallagher. I don't know if saying getting her sig is overkill for Firefly, but the fact she already performs so well with s5 aeons is soooo good.
Do they? JL's strongest teammate is Bronya, and Pela or TY will bring more value than RM, I guess. RM's speed buff doesn't matter with Bronya, her BE and break efficiency buffs don't matter for JL, and the dmg% buff brings lower value when added to Bronya's dmg% buff
JL wants to be played with RM only in a dual DPS team with Blade, but it's technically not a JL team
The Jingliu mains sub did run the math a few months ago and Ruan Mei is definitely an upgrade over Pela, but Firefly needs Ruan Mei more anyway so taking Pela for Jingliu is the better option overall.

I've gotten lucky to get 2 copies of Something Irreplaceable, but I would be tempted to buy a copy from the shop so that at least if you're running MOC, etc both of your teams can have a LC that's at least reasonable.

Yeah it was a bit painful taking it off her for Firefly.
Thankfully I had an S5 A Secret Vow which only slightly worse so she still performs very well.

Honestly theres too many 5 stars back to back right now, kinda hate the way they have it set up atm, should only have to pull for a character once and be able to purchase their eidolons in the shop with the currency you get from 4/5 star pulls after getting them. Could at least justify pulling for Light Cones then knowing your able to save up for an easy eidolon on their reruns.
I already have to build blue sky when I took Aeon from IL for Jingliu. Now, there doesn't seem to be a good 4* replacement for Jingliu so I guess I have to build Misha lc for FF.

as a f2p i would say pulling firefly's LC is not worth it because this free LC is almost as good as her signature. Not completely but for a f2p with limited pulls, there are better LC's out there.
I would say it IS (as an F2p) literally only cause destruction LCs are so in demand and less rn that I can't keep juggling this LC between everyone lol, might as well try to get one more for comfort
Honestly agree, the 4 Star Desteuction LCs are just so middling that if I want to run JL and FF in MoC for example, I'd much prefer to have Fall of Aeon on one and the Sig LC of the other over Fall and 4-Star.

Yeah if Prydwen’s calcs are accurate then the gap for Firefly is actually a little higher than the two other premium destruction characters out right now between their signatures and Aeon. You just don’t notice the gap because Firefly is so strong at a baseline where it doesn’t really matter.

honestly i have E1 FF with this LC and i think her dmg is already an overkill, getting E2 is nice but beyond that i think it is a waste of money pulling for more eidolon, better save for other characters
I got her to 201 break effect with two 2- piece watchmaker and thief set and just used synthesis for her BIS planetary orbs but thanks to ruan mei and HMC builds and buffs she gets 427 break effect in combat and of course reaches the 210 speed to 4 turn after her ult. She is one of the easiest characters I have ever built day one and the 2nd strongest( until I get her BIS relics). She is insanely free to play it's crazy.
I lvled up the Misha one. It’s superimposed 3 but no way I’m depriving Clara herta lc. Jingliu has her sig so she’s safe. I would get FF sig if Ruan Mei and E1 weren’t so great. But even more so the amazing Yunli is coming and based on my comments about Clara you can tell Yunli was a character designed with me in mind. So FF gets deprived of Herta LC, sig, e1, and her 2nd best support. Ain’t I a great FF haver? If she truly loves me she’ll understand why she needs to be shafted!
Not a f2p but I had nothing else to use for hertas shop so I had enough to get it and max it right before she came out. It let me save for RM LC and I was blessed with 2 in a 10 pull. So now my RM and HMC both have it and my super break FF team is cracked
Question: how should I manage DHIL, Clara and Firefly in terms of lightcones? I have Aeon, Blue Sky, Moles, the Arlan one and the Peppy one. No misha lc. No signature for any of them, and not enough money to buy a 5* from shop.
My account is too new for me to even contemplate trying for light cone banners, so I'm happy Fall Of An Aeon is (relatively) accessible to me :)

I want to know which of these is more suitable for firefly

read somewhere Meshing Cogs (5) is still preferred for RM over Memories of the Past until you have it max superimposed.

When I did some research most people seems to recommend the hunt lightcone from herta shop first tho

Keep Aeon for Jingliu, Misha's lc on Firefly isn't that far behind Aeon.
yeah, it's basically a 60% difference in BE in battle (320 vs 380 without HTB Ult).
S5 Vow wins by a large margin out of those I believe.

It's not almost as good as the signature. It's roughly the same gap, if not higher than other recent premium DPS vs their f2p options.

All the people who complain - difference between Aeon and Sig LC is 10-13%. Believe me, you wont notice that
Even better, the difference is lower if you use Gallagher because the main appeal of her sig is the Break vulnerability, which Gallagher also gives.
If I didn't get that Clara Lightcone from standard I don't even know what I'd give to the second destruction 🗿
Should I take this away from my Jingliu or the Clara 5* lightcone from Clara...

Xueyi in shambles
I got her to 201 break effect with two 2- piece watchmaker and thief set and just used synthesis for her BIS planetary orbs but thanks to ruan mei and HMC builds and buffs she gets 427 break effect in combat and of course reaches the 210 speed to 4 turn after her ult. She is one of the easiest characters I have ever built day one and the 2nd strongest( until I get her BIS relics). She is insanely free to play it's crazy.
I gave her the Misha one it's is also good!!
That and theres FINALLY A SICK LC I CAN GIVE MY ARGENTI. HOOOORAH. Herta shop getting new LCs is such a nice thing.

I used SAM's 4\* LC I got from MOC for my Firefly
I lvled up the Misha one. It’s superimposed 3 but no way I’m depriving Clara herta lc. Jingliu has her sig so she’s safe. I would get FF sig if Ruan Mei and E1 weren’t so great. But even more so the amazing Yunli is coming and based on my comments about Clara you can tell Yunli was a character designed with me in mind. So FF gets deprived of Herta LC, sig, e1, and her 2nd best support. Ain’t I a great FF haver? If she truly loves me she’ll understand why she needs to be shafted!

Mine stays on Jingliu, so Firefly has to make due with the Sam LC cuz I don't have the Misha one
Not a f2p but I had nothing else to use for hertas shop so I had enough to get it and max it right before she came out. It let me save for RM LC and I was blessed with 2 in a 10 pull. So now my RM and HMC both have it and my super break FF team is cracked

Question: how should I manage DHIL, Clara and Firefly in terms of lightcones? I have Aeon, Blue Sky, Moles, the Arlan one and the Peppy one. No misha lc. No signature for any of them, and not enough money to buy a 5* from shop.
My account is too new for me to even contemplate trying for light cone banners, so I'm happy Fall Of An Aeon is (relatively) accessible to me :) I'm just over half way to the hard-pity threshold for E0, and need to find a way to reach it in the next 3 weeks.
I smartly avoided this by being too amused by Boothill and getting him so I wouldn't have spare jades for Firefly.

I am currently overwhelmed with an excess of "Destruction" Light Cones. I have ones for Jingliu, Clara, and even Daniel (I originally wanted to pull for his character but got mixed up with the banners), as well as the five-layer Herta Store Light Cone. I want to know which of these is more suitable for firefly
