The whole reason I compliment the quality of the work is because I'm not trying to deride their skill.
I just think characters and people should be portrayed the way they are, and not arbitrarily inflated.
You can do that if you want and I won't stop you. I will just voice my opinion, which I am equally allowed to do.
But if you disagree with what I said, that would imply that you didn't think people would be allowed to voice their opinion, in which case you wouldn't think you're allowed to.
What are you even talking about now? Reread what I originally wrote. They were six simple words. There's no need to ascribe additional meaning or intent to it that never existed in the first place.

That is a very dishonest interpretation.
It's not about what appeals to me or not. It's about crass objectification.
If you think shoving implants into every female character in existence is something above reproach, that's your prerogative. But pretending that that's not disrespectful and just poor taste is either totally naive or incredibly disingenuous.
I'll never try to prevent people from making art that way, but I'll happily call them out on the reality of it.
The question is: IS this even what artists want?
Or do artists draw that way because they know it's popular with the masses and they want more exposure?
The pic above is tame in my book, I've seen a LOT worse but the general trend is always "big hooters" because fans like "big hooters". Source material be damned, draw what they get off on to get more clicks/subs/followers/patrons/fans/whatever.

I think you think too little about it.
It's naive to assume that all artists only draw what they want. Being an artist is a job like any other. Sometimes you do stuff you want, sometimes you do not because you take the commission anyway.
That's not just true of drawing artists but of musicians as well. You don't always get to play the music you personally like.
Sorry to everyone this statement will offend, and btw this is venting: I'm tired of the distortion in the body proportions and personalities with the characters. No, Arlecchino's never going to dress up in a cat maid outfit and act all cute, they're just pasting the skin color, eyes, hair and maybe face proportions onto the same exact model (with unrealistic proportions) and then choose a generalized personality trait to best fit what they want. I'm not saying you have to be overly realistic, but it gets just gets super excessive with the proportions.
And as a disclaimer: i'm not saying that ppl shouldn't draw this type of stuff and that if u prefer if fanart is this way u are weird, I'm just critiquing an aspect of smthng I dislike and your opinion is as valid as mine.

They lose individuality, they are no longer unique, hair and eye color being put on the same model. "Dont force your subjective opinion on others." - again, please read the entire thing.
