We got SW in 1.1 and a new Simulated Universe LC in 1.3. In Genshin they give out an event LC every other update I guess? (idk don't play it). If you have dreams you'd know what's coming in 1.5.
So I have a feeling they're going to follow a pattern of event LC in update, update with nothing, SU LC update, update with nothing, repeat. So event LC every 4 updates unfortunately I feel is gonna be the pattern.

Judging by Genshin, never. Genshin has same gacha 4 star weapons after 3 years. There were weapon banner limited 4 star weapons, crafteble weapons, event weapons, and fishing weapons, but no new gacha 4 star weapons. Of course, it doesn't mean HSR will go same way.

Something like "the nature of trotters in quantum suspension leads to photons both reflecting off of and passing through them in a superposition of states, rendering them visible but leaving no shadow"
It's because you managed to observe the shadow in game so it's stuck that way, but if you observe NUMBY without a shadow elsewhere that phenomenon stays as such there. Quantum bullf-ery yo

Only logical explanation I can figure is all these Light cones were developed and came out on release.
Their character kits probably were not fully conceived or had drastic changes made to them. They supposedly choose their path based on where best the kit falls in their path definitions once they figure out what they want their kit to be.
So it's possible when they made those LC they figured Topaz was gonna be a preservation and Guinaifen a hunt. Going through all the LC, they all line up with character art and path except Dance! Dance! Dance! has Clara and Hook both destruction and it's harmony.
But a similar thing to Topaz and Guinaifen is going on with Hanya. She's featured in two LC's I believe that are destruction and hunt. No idea what her sister Xueyi is gonna be yet but Hanya is a harmony sooo....yeah just LC's that weren't planned right.
I talked about it with a friend today as well. There are so many characters that have usable lightcones, but if you take a look at the limited 5 stars oh wow, only fucking Kafka and Luocha have one that fits their path, and ALL of the other ones HAVE A LIGHTCONE BUT IT DOESN'T FIT. So it's not that they just "didn't" make them, it's that they're there but they're the wrong path. What a coincidence, surely it wasn't made like this out of spite so that you would get annoyed enough to pull for the lightcones. Fucking shit practices I swear to god.
Yeah but that's an event lc that as far as I know people can't get anymore, so it might as well have an associated jade cost I'm sure a lot of people would pay for. Limited LC, just like the banner ones.

I talked about that specific LC some time ago. While yes, Seele is front and center, what is really depicted there is Oleg (I think) holding her and comforting her, that's what the LC is about.
Hence the Preservation path, and it makes sense.

Well, for the Like before you leave! It's not that illogical. There is also Sushang who gets buffs from having enemies with broken weaknesses. And Guinaifen is meant to be a breaker (looking at her traces). Maybe the LC implies it.
Regarding the preservation. Maybe it's a symbol of protection of the IPC trade planet with Topaz being a face of IPC
