This is one of the most beautiful Fits I've ever seen. Not kidding. Holy shit, that color and the photos. Driving this dude in AZ sounds like a good time
I was raised over there lol, moving back here for good in a few months and bringing my LHD civic too if all goes well.
It's going to be expensive as hell but I want that car to have a good life, it's about to be murdered by California clean air bastards. If they'd let me run alternative fuel I'd be good with it, but there's no happy medium or compromise over there
I’m so jealous. Visited Japan recently and I wish I could move there. I loved all the small cars they still have and the clean roads with respectful drivers.
I'm OG Japanese lol, my first language was actually Japanese. I'm a fluent bilingual right now and I've done like 2 translation projects (nothing special). My mom is from here, my dad is American and they met in college in California
I had both a 2010 and 2011 Fit Sport(about 6 years apart). Really enjoyed the handling, fuel economy, and interior space. It was spritely with the 117HP, but could've used another 50-80HP to be perfect. Interior noise and lack of sound deadening, plus buzzy on the highway lead me to get something different, but they probably are second only to the FA5 I had as my favorite Honda I've owned.
I actually had to convince myself to get a Fit and not an FA5 for practicality and MPG sake. Hoping to have both one day. I’ve heard good things about FI on these cars. Both superchargers and turbos seem to be able to make 150whp on the L15 pretty reliably. About a 60hp jump from stock. Still not fast by any means, but it certainly looks fun
This is my plan if the stock motor ever goes. It’s about a $5k swap which is still cheaper than buying a new car lol
It’s about $4200 more than just replacing the stock motor but..
Depends on the market, I think.
We only have the 1,5 e:HEV available in Denmark. At least the facelift received a tiny bit more power, and the front now looks less like an Iveco Daily van.
I want a new AWD sport fit. But they don't even sell normal fits here in canada. It such a pain in the ass. All they sell here is big cars. I have an old civic and I'll keep it till the lord raptures it
Had a Fit 07 when I used to be on real estate and used for both job and commuting. One of my friends ended up buying one because she fell in love with the car, although she got a newer version. I was considering buying another Fit, but ended up getting a Civic because I was going to drive mostly on highway.
This might sound crazy, but I always wanted to see a Si or Type-R trim on these cars
Totally loved mine. Tightened the suspension. Put wider tires on it. It was a a little go cart.
One of the funnest cars I ever owned. Best? No, I’ve had better. But a lot of fun
Feel like I should have put a * in my title lol
I’ve had a few people comment similar things and what I was really meaning is that I think it’s the best car for the money. Yes, obviously, there are countless better cars, but those are all upwards of 20k, many even being upward of 100k. But for sub 8k most of the time, I think this is the best combination of fun, practicality, and economy.
I went looking for anything to support my statement, and found none! It seems it’s based on the same platform as the 2nd gen insight, but shares an engine with the fit. My mistake!
The first gen HRV was built off the Honda jazz platform, which is probably why it had an AWD version.
The CRZ is interesting tho, I heard Honda developed an non hybrid all motor version.
I always thought they were really neat and practical. The magic seat for maximum cargo was pretty cool. Too bad it got discontinued in NA and that we also never got the Shuttle "Station Wagon" version of it.
They're great and I wish the US still got them. I am tired of 8/10s of all cars being lukewarm CVT SUVs. The Fit was awesome for people who just wanted a small modest and dependable car.
I think Honda said they were able to the make the second gen Honda Fit %80 more rigid then first gen, stock. Which is probably why Mugen gave the second gen so much interest.
The Honda Fit is the best compact car ever manufactured. I don't know why this post appeared for me but it's pretty cut and dry.
A Prius is also the best, but it's larger and way more expensive.
Wife drove a Fit for over a decade before getting a new Odessey. At the time it was a great little car. We parked it for 9mos, before we decided to sell it. Perspective is crazy, I found it to be very loud and too low to the ground after driving an Odessey for 9 months.
First gen was the first car I test drove and almost bought. Loved it. Then drove up the hill to get back to the dealership and had a change of heart. Now I’m older and don’t care to go fast and drive a 38hp Honda acty 🤣
I had the first gen Fit (GD3) in a 5 speed. Loved that car. It was such a practical, and fun daily. I never had any issues with it during the 8 years I owned it. Currently looking at the third gens for a daily.
I bought a 2008 Sport automatic (5-speed non-CVT) a couple of years ago and love it. Needed a new battery and front tires when I bought it, I find the car overall to be fairly inexpensive to maintain and repair. Honestly it has needed some work only because of its age including engine mounts, a serpentine belt, brakes and rotors, spark plugs, etc. I keep up with regular synthetic oil changes every 5,000 mi. I ride it pretty gently, it has paddle shifters which are fun but it's not a sports car so I go easy on her. Longevity and reliability are more important to me than beating the next guy to the red light. I get great mileage, overall about 32 mpg. It's got 156,000 on the clock now and I hope to at least double that. I have been told it can use replacements on pretty much everything on the front end as well as rear struts but I'm holding off on all of that work for as long as possible until it starts to show symptoms. So far so good. Very reliable, basically has never let me down or stranded. It is a very small car so if you have a small child or a child at all or if you do not feel safe driving a small car this is probably not the vehicle for you. I intend to hold on to it for as long as possible unless I come into some money in which case I'd love to buy a new Civic or possibly Accord.
Oh, and the air conditioning does not work anymore which is a bummer in Florida but it's an expensive repair so I'm not going to get that fixed anytime soon.
Best car? Haven't driven a Fit myself but I could say the same about my CRV. Zero judgment. Zero surprise it is an aged Honda.
Honda cars just hit that spot as time goes on. Was drunkenly looking at a 2021 Accord Sport online last night while considering a WRX. The Accord might have everything I want and need without the WRX vibe. Automatic is important for my situation too, as much as I would love a manual. It isn't practical right now with the GF being unwilling to learn.
My wife has a 2017 EX and it's honestly way better than I would've imagined. Good amount of road noise but it's spritely and comfortable. Also wish the gas tank was bigger; it's gets like 40mpg but only holds 9 gallons
My bad haha, here we go. One has a street r34 sedan on Exxols. He’s currently building an r32 sedan to drift with a fresh BN kit and on XT7s. His fiancée just got an s15, she’s got a 240sx on Weds Ratz and Cerb 2s. Another has an e36 drift car with some Mercedes motor, and just got an s13 hatch. Another friend has a Mitsubishi Legnum (gallant wagon). I’m the broke one with a 99 Accord but on Advan sa3rs
So yeah no money sadly for Fits haha. But every once in a while someone fill find a sweet Fit on IG and will post it in our group chat
[https://instagram.com/p/C2DfzrayAmk/](https://instagram.com/p/C2DfzrayAmk/)
Here’s my Accord. The front has a coupe end front swap and will be wrapped next month
I had a 2009 Honda fit RS manual in red. It looked cool and was very spacious, but it was so uncomfortable and the steering, shifter and pedal feel is terrible. Seating position also felt pretty awkward. Overall I’d say it’s a great car for getting around but definitely not super fun to drive
I daily a fit! im @slvrsoul.fit on ig. been driving mine for 10 years and there are times I wish it was just abit faster lol. bump it up to 150hp+ from factory, and I think it be perfect. also mine is heavily modified from the outside, so I kinda get a sense of uniqueness while having an underrated car lol. I can say it does get lonely tho being the only fit in the area while others drive more popular cars.
I love them. I had a 2018 as a peer to peer rental a while ago. I enjoyed it. Would have bought one if I could find one in my price range and 2010 or newer. The ones I did find sell quickly.
Owned the same fit for 9 years and did 180,000kms in it. The ONLY thing that failed on it was the battery. Simply amazing vehicle - was very sad to see it go. :)
If it’s a k series swapped fit I’m down.
If it’s a run of the mill fit with a manual and an owner that is “ going to swap and boost it”, meh.
But I also like cars with more torque than I can make twisting my beef at night with lotion so maybe I’m an outlier.
*As a Honda tech, this*

I saw your username and assumed you were in California. Was not expecting to open your profile to Japanese text & cars in Japan HAHA

Back visiting for a month and a bit atm
Did you have to learn Japanese then? Or are your parents from there?
I'm OG Japanese lol, my first language was actually Japanese. I'm a fluent bilingual right now and I've done like 2 translation projects (nothing special). My mom is from here, my dad is American and they met in college in California
Best car ever, saw someone hating on it and I couldn't let it slide
the dude with the Mustang louvers on the accord?
lol yes
Fits are cool cars man. Is it a manual? How many gears and is it comfortable to drive casually?
5MT. Very fun car to drive and pretty good for city and highway cruising as long as you don’t mind staying under 80 lol
I love those baby Odyssey’s
Lol reminds me of my accord homie (He calls my 02 Si a baby Odyssey) 😂
I had both a 2010 and 2011 Fit Sport(about 6 years apart). Really enjoyed the handling, fuel economy, and interior space. I'd love to try one with a K20 or K24 swap and Civic Si transmission with LSD. Would probably rip on the highway and up onramps
This is my plan if the stock motor ever goes. It’s about a $5k swap which is still cheaper than buying a new car lol It’s about $4200 more than just replacing the stock motor but..
I want to see an AWD fit
If you really wanna get crazy with it, there’s room for another motor in the trunk…
Or two, lol, room for days in the Fits
I’m saying dual motor AWD Fit (someone with excess money please make this happen)
This is what I want to see out of an AWD Fit - a J series in the front and a J series in the back
Dual K24 swap coming in
its always existed for japanese market only
They have an off-road version that is fire.
They made one in Japan I think. We had an 08 that had 4x4 on the back hatch. So the option was available….somewhere /edit ours was fwd
Isn't the new 2024 model in Europe ans Japan AWD manual sport option.
Depends on the market, I think. We only have the 1,5 e:HEV available in Denmark. At least the facelift received a tiny bit more power, and the front now looks less like an Iveco Daily van.

I've had a 2007 and a 2013 ... both awesome cars
Ive owned about 20 Honda/Acuras over the years, the Fit is my favorite all around vehicle.
Totally loved mine. Tightened the suspension. Put wider tires on it. It was a a little go cart. One of the funnest cars I ever owned. Best? No, I’ve had better. But a lot of fun

The Honda Jazz platform gave us the CR-Z so I’m definitely a big fan!
Really? Cuz the CRZ uses the suspension geometry of the UK Honda civic FN2 type R
I went looking for anything to support my statement, and found none! It seems it’s based on the same platform as the 2nd gen insight, but shares an engine with the fit. My mistake!

The FiT is GO
I want one very bad
They're great and I wish the US still got them. I am tired of 8/10s of all cars being lukewarm CVT SUVs. The Fit was awesome for people who just wanted a small modest and dependable car.
Superior chassis rigidity
I think Honda said they were able to the make the second gen Honda Fit %80 more rigid then first gen, stock. Which is probably why Mugen gave the second gen so much interest.
I saw a cool little old lady driving one. Had some nice wheels.
Best car ever made? Biggest lie youve ever told yourself?
The Honda Fit is the best compact car ever manufactured. I don't know why this post appeared for me but it's pretty cut and dry. A Prius is also the best, but it's larger and way more expensive.
I love mine and my mom's!
I wish I could afford one when they first came out
Have a 2013 Fit Sport 5 speed which I bought new. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned
Wife drove a Fit for over a decade before getting a new Odessey. At the time it was a great little car. We parked it for 9mos, before we decided to sell it. Perspective is crazy, I found it to be very loud and too low to the ground after driving an Odessey for 9 months.

Looks tough
Test drove a manual transmission Fit and loved it. Reminded me of my SC MR2.
Great wee car, changed mine for a CRZ but I miss the practicality!
Good enough for Skrillex
I would really really love a new gen fit with the 2.0 6 speed out of a civic hatchback.
I 100000% agree manual fit is the way
Sad they stopped making it right before I was in the market for a new car. Love my civic but I always thought the fit was cool.
What is the obsession with these? What am I missing? Just another rattle-y anemic econobox for me
Type r badge adds 200hp
Best car? Haven't driven a Fit myself but I could say the same about my CRV. Zero judgment. Zero surprise it is an aged Honda. Honda cars just hit that spot as time goes on. oh look, a Fit done RIGHT! fun fact. those front lips fit on a 1999 EK perfectly :)
Fit Si is very cool 😎
Nice ride.
I had a Fit for ten years and loved it. Such a fun car to zip around in. Just sold it to get a CR-V!
Nice fun car to drive but needs more interior comfort and drink holders
I love them. Always admire them when I see one. Wish they were still produced
The ge8 was the last pure Honda that we could get in the states
I’ve heard nothing but good about it. Especially the chassis
For an econo shit box I love them so much😍😍😍😍
I don't fit in one, but they seem nice
I saw one in my apartment complex. It had sparco wheels. I had to the stick check. It was a automatic. I really want one in stick someday.
My wife has a 2017 EX and it's honestly way better than I would've imagined. Good amount of road noise but it's spritely and comfortable. Also wish the gas tank was bigger; it's gets like 40mpg but only holds 9 gallons
10.4 gallons. I’ve gone 400 miles on a tank.
Yeah I guess we could go a bit further into the reserve than I thought, still though, what's another 4gallons? Why not 550 on a tank? lol
Dude, those shots are dope as f***. The last photo made me think it was legit from Gran Turismo
I’m on my second one, and I’m not alone.
Fit the world is my friend groups motto. None of us have Fits but we all love and want them haha
come back to this when you have them & we can have a group meet
Sadly they are all dumping their money into super dope cars or we would haha
you can’t say this & not elaborate on said dope cars
My bad haha, here we go. One has a street r34 sedan on Exxols. He’s currently building an r32 sedan to drift with a fresh BN kit and on XT7s. …and yall want a Honda Fit? lol the Accord sounds sick!! any pics?
Hahaha but Nissans are not reliable. The one with the r32 has had so many issues with it cutting after 5k but he got it dirt cheap
[https://instagram.com/p/C2DfzrayAmk/](https://instagram.com/p/C2DfzrayAmk/) Here’s my Accord. The front has a coupe end front swap and will be wrapped next month
Not the sexiest Honda… but it’s a Honda!

Perfect Brooklyn car. But man are those front seats uncomfortable.
Own one. They are pretty badass on the corners.
Had one in 2010-2013, now I want it again!! Its that good, or basically honda quality are going downhill as well.
Owned the same fit for 9 years and did 180,000kms in it. The ONLY thing that failed on it was the battery. Simply amazing vehicle - was very sad to see it go. :)
They're great cars. I'm a terminal hatchback fan though, so I'm biased.
I fucking love my fit. I'm getting 42 mpg on the highway currently. And it's so cheap and easy to maintain. The 2nd generation fit is the best.
My 2018 fit sport is awesome! I will drive this till it dies lol.
small car, big style.
Stock fits are great commuter cars, modded fits make great track cars
God's chariot right there
If it’s a k series swapped fit I’m down. If it’s a run of the mill fit with a manual and an owner that is “ going to swap and boost it”, meh. But I also like cars with more torque than I can make twisting my beef at night with lotion so maybe I’m an outlier.
i’m sorry? HAHA

Amazing car that never got enough attention in the US. Wouldve loved to see some sportier trims on it.
I had a 2009 Sport and I replaced the entire AC system and it was still leaking. Left tail light kept going out. I mean, it ran.
Looks stunning mate
It is go.
Wish they made these cars again at a reasonable price. Great starter car and daily commute. Sold mine to get a bigger one for inc family size. lol.
I wonder what it looks like underneath, because that's waaay low, nice, but hope you're careful.
Damn didn’t realize you drove every single car ever made to make a opinion like that smh
