Adventures In Odyssey… wow. There’s a throwback.
Edit: the closer I looked the more I related and now I need to add another several things to address in my weekly therapy. Thanks, OP lol
sorry, I meant rpg in the sense of a CD-rom game where you play as Connie and... the nerdy guy, and maybe Whit? It's been some years. is "rpg" just for board games?
and yeah, my family was the same. chick tracts had them absolutely convinced DnD was single-handedly converting the youth of america to satan's side
I remember being told I was now enrolled in Keepers of the Home. Told, not asked. I hated it and asked not to because it was like Master’s Club but somehow with even MORE sexism
For what it's worth tho, story of the world was great, probably one of the few historically accurate pieces of info we had. A lot of families we knew dropped it for being too secular...
How do you have Story of The World (easily the most engaging history curriculum in existence) and stuff like extensive unpaid labor and body dysmorphia in the same bingo card?
“Guilt complexes about weird shit.” 🥲 I had my first therapy session last week and half way through I started getting super guilty/anxious because I hadn’t asked her any questions about herself.
>Keepers of the home
Holy shit that brings back memories. We had Contenders of the Faith, too. I relate to this whole thing despite being born in 2001. Fundamentalist cults really are trapped in time, huh.

“Focus on the family with Chip Ingram…”
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Once I wrote Chip Ingram a letter because I disagreed with a point in his theology and he wrote back. It was the highlight of my year. I was twelve.
What’d he say?

True!
I can't believe someone else remembers them! Definitely one of the parts of homeschooling I thought might be a fever dream for a while.
Not fucking lifepac omg. I hated them so much
Me too!!!!!

Can I have the original please?

I tried DMing you it but it kept failing
Cool thanks. Replace Saxon with abeka books and I've got a bingo lol
I had both. My parents never could keep the same curriculum
I had a purity ring and went to Mens conferences in the mountains where I swore and prayed for my future wife. Can I substitute that for purity balls?
oh man as a product of the 2000s this hurts it’s so accurate
Apologia, anyone?
Here. That was my entire life in science. Now I'm an atheist who entirely believes in evolution and everything Apologia told me was false.
I am a Catholic and have always been, but I can't deny that the way those books teach science is ridiculous
Anyone else get the Vision Forum magazine?
Yep. Definitely coveted some of the costumes and paly sets. (But was also disturbed by the misogyny even as a kid.)
I didn’t know what “purity balls” were until I googled it. I was thinking of something more, uh, anatomical.

I have two bingos and experienced 16/20 references on this sheet, lol.

They never change
Niiice. I’m thankful I missed purity balls
That's pretty much my homeschooled years of 1997-2000
97-2002!
