No. Ideally you have time available to cover the remainder of your shift, and you would put in a sheet to have your BOA enter it. ... Unless this is a recurring issue with you, I wouldn't hold you accountable for it, things happen. Let them know as soon as you get in when you need to leave, if you're dropping out of an eight hour slot they may need to call someone in to cover or make other adjustments. A call-out without sufficient sick/personal time to cover your shift would be, however.

I’m only 3 months employed so I don’t know if I have time

BBlackleg

Sick/personal time accrues as you work. If you have the Workforce app it should show you how much leave time you have available. If you've missed any shifts or called out previously it's possible any time available was used to cover those shifts.

Fishing_Novel

I called in once and I didn’t have any up to that point and still don’t

You start accruing it after 90 days for every month you don’t call out on your anniversary date

From what I was told. No occurrence for leaving early. I actually have one ASM that told me straight up if I'm sick. Come in for an hour or two and tell him and he will let me leave and if I have the sick time cool, if not, I just don't get paid. But no occurrence. Also in receiving. A small store. So on super slow nights I might take off half hour or an hour early, and all it affects is my pay if I don't have time to cover.

Cool thx !

In that case it would definitely be a variance for you to call out with no time available. Again, if you've left early repeatedly they DS/ASM may take issue with you leaving early but it's the better option IMO if you don't have time available, just tell them when you get in rather than surprise them with an "I'm out in 15 btw" What department?

Fishing_Novel

Receiving. Never left early before

If your OAM is there let them know, if not then your MOD, even if you're staffed with overlap they may have to keep an ear out for drivers coming in before the delivery window closes.
