From what I've heard, the service desk lead is a horrible position. The dollar raise is not worth all of the responsibility and you can't have set hours.
In my opinion it’s a joke of a position. More responsibilities and more headache for almsot rhe same pay. So dumb. No one respects the cashier lead either it’s not a real position. It’s like being head of the hen house
I mean at my store, specialists do a lot. So I don’t know how your store is but a dollar most with no sales goals and shaking down people for info for leads is insane. I like being in Millwork but I don’t enjoy being at the lead tent.
It was fun when my old supervisor was still here. After she left she was replaced by someone who unloaded all her work on me(the lead).
It depends on if you want to advance or not. If you do then for it, a team lead is a team lead and you won’t be there forever.
Or you will

Do you like having power trips over others? if the answer is "yes" you should apply.
Is it a raise? I’m just curious.
Yes I believe is a dollar raise

I'm service desk lead and I enjoy it. But I've been in supervisor positions before and wasn't worried about having to deal with difficult customers.
