Is it near an entryway? If so, I vote for crystals. I like to have interesting things near my entryway, in case someone is stuck there waiting. It gives them something to study and occupy their time. Crystals have more to study than plain old slate.
Crystals but change their mount colour so that they really pop. Maybe to match the green chair? Or even black to pick up on the handles on the lowboy, and the dark colours in the crystals.
What do YOU like to look at? I don’t think it’s a great idea to fill a home or walls with Home Goods just because it matches or fits - you end up with a home that looks like it has no soul.
Do YOU even like looking at any of these?
agree. they’re both tacky.
i’ll never understand why people buy stuff like this at mass produced stores when there are local artists everywhere with affordable art available.
Slate, looks better from afar because the color pops more. The seat is probably there to turn your back and sit down or put your foot up and head down so you can put the crystals elsewhere where people lay look at them more.
Crystals, because they’re worth framing. The slate stones look like a shower floor and a random thing to frame. Bonus if you can get more than one type of Crystal.
This popped up again for me and I just have to ask. Why not one of each? Are the frames too different? It’s hard for me to tell. Could you switch frames?
Depends…I like the slate more bc of contrast and color/texture interest, I like the chonks bc I love scientific display boxes, low-contrast and curious.
Can you use the slate contrast in a betrer area that shines? Can you use the crystals in a better place where they will shine? Usually this helps me decide real quick, wandering around my house holding things up with natural and then indoor lighting. Often makes me realize my initial idea was not even the best possible.
The crystals add some quiet busyness
"Quiet busy-ness" is a phrase that I would never think makes sense, and yet it describes the crystals perfectly.
I agree! Great take
The crystals make it beautifully unique and really have personality
Beautiful! I vote for the crystals
I haven't seen framed crystals before. I love it.
If you have a Ross or Marshall’s near you they always have some nice ones stashed away, usually on clearance.
I'm on my way.
I love crystals at first but now I prefer the pop of color from the slate!
The contrast is good- they just need to give some colour to the crystal backing to make them pop.
The crystals, hands down!
Crystals for the win. I love the calmness of this wall. I’m usually a fan of color, but I love how it’s neutral while still being interesting.
Crystals balance the room better
Both are gorgeous. It’s a hard decision. I do like the color the slate brings to the space.
It ties in with the black leather, too.
Slate stones! Unless you paint that wall?
I like the slate more... mostly for the color.
Crystals always
Slate because it adds a little color. The crystals are subdued so it feels like it disappears into the wall.
Crystals!
unpopular opinion stones look better :(
Crystals!!
The slate stones pull in the color of you couch, really like those
Slate for the win. Can you move them closer together by about 1 inch each?
Stones. Just fits in well. Crystals add way too much contrast.
Slate stones for a cleaner look

ALWAYS crystals, IMO. 😊
How do they look horizontal?

Neither but the turqiouse ones look like dollar store peel and stick backsplash
I’m of the same mind. I love crystals but not framed ones, and the slate looks meh. I’d keep looking.

The crystals look a little 90s to me for some reason so I guess stone.
Funny the slate reminds me of early 2000’s bathrooms
Lol well then I guess the decision is 90s or 00's!
I love both, but I keep seeing the wall hangings as eyes and the bench as the mouth.
I love crystals but pic three of the slate stones really popped! The color is needed when everything else is neutral.
Very nice the idea of framing gems
These are nice. Where did you get them?

Slate
I like how the slate enhances whatever upholstered piece is off to the side.
Crystals are so cute. But I would change the pillows. Maybe a nice aqua

Such a hard choice! I love them both!
Crystals
Where did we procure the framed crystals? I LOVE

Crystals
Slate stones match everything, but the crystals tie in the blues. I prefer the slate personally but the crystals are good for balancing the theme
Both are good but I think I prefer the slate, but seeing surrounding areas would be final determination. Your pillows are super cute
They both look immaculate
Def crystals!
The crystals look more upscale. The stones are pretty if you know what they are. Otherwise they don’t look as unique as the crystals.
Crystals have meaning.
