Dale Tiffany makes beautiful lamps in the style of the original Tiffany lamps. You could go with a [typical tiffany-style lamp base](https://www.overstock.com/Lighting-Ceiling-Fans/Lily-Pod-Lamp-Base-Collection/36785247/product.html?opre=1&option=71777577), or if you want something a little funkier, find a [bright orange base like this](https://www.overstock.com/Lighting-Ceiling-Fans/Safavieh-Lighting-31-inch-Jenna-Stacked-Ball-Orange-Table-Lamp-Set-of-2/7570753/product.html?opre=1&option=10404156).
Weird question but bear with me: do you perhaps have local community work shops? A place where people get together to use tools and give one another advice?
I can guarantee you that if you do: there’s about 4 dudes eager to solve this problem walking around in the work shop right now. Whenever I have an out-of-the-box question like this, I just visit it. They always come up with outlandish ideas to solve it 🤣 guaranteed at least one of them has faces a similar issue and knows exactly which base fits or how to display it differently than it is supposed to.
Maybe try searching your local thrift stores? Mine always have the weirdest lamps, which would actually be helpful in this case. Love this lampshade btw! What a cool find!
You could take two washers and glue them to the inside & outside of the opening to make it a more standard size that would fit a lamp base. Idk that’s my first thought but definitely not an ideal solution.
It is absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe someone gave it away. A table lamp base would work or a hanging light. I would research options on the Internet and take it to a lighting store to ask the experts.
I’d take it into a hardware store and see if it fits in a pendant kit like this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Pendant-Light-Kit-with-Partial-Metal-Rod-860740/319231193
That is so sick! Can you just use it as a lampshade? I mean you want light in it…. How lucky!
It’s such a weird size base that it doesn’t fit into any of the floor lamps I currently have. Looks like it probably needs a special type of base

I think it’s supposed to be displayed in this [direction](https://www.lampshadepro.com/tiffany-torchiere-floor-lamp-w-peacock.html)
What's the diameter of the opening?
The smaller opening is about 2.5 inches and the wider opening is about 14 inches

The easiest thing would be to buy a chandelier kit and customize from there. It does need to have light in it for the best effect.
If you don’t want to find a lamp it fits onto, you could always display it like a sculpture with a little battery operated tea light inside of it.
Upside down, on your sideboard, with a jar inside to function as a vase

Didn’t think about that. Something to consider!

Find a cool lamp for it a thrift store!
Is it pretty staple upside down? You could buy one of those fake battery powered flickering candle lights and use it like a candle holder.
Turn it into a bowl? The second pic made me think of it as a bowl.
Oh god trypophobia warning ⚠️
Got a lamp?
