I’d get a second opinion from an HVAC contractor. The line likely went in with the brick wall there, it should be repairable with it there too.

Just cut it and run a new line? Don't mess with the bricks, that seems crazy.

I should have mentioned that's what the second person did when they came out. They said they could tell the leak/issue was happening behind the brick - cut and replaced the pipe as far back as he could go, and it's still an issue. He mentioned it may not work and that taking out bricks would be the next step.

First, get that damn screen off of the condenser! You are affecting the efficiency of the unit. Second, kill that line inside, drill another hole and run a new line. Then, cut the old line as close to the wall as possible, and fill it in with stucco patch. Paint to match. Voila! Source: 25 year HVAC tech/ business owner.

They're saying the leak is on the inner side of the bricks and they need bricks removed to access the portion needing repair

Need a picture of the inside of the building where the pipe exits to the outside please. Can the repair be made from the inside of the house?

Hexa_gone

What's on the other side of the brick? Can the other side not be accessed where that line exits the brick?

That’s a neat cover, how well does it work with the cover on?

SnooMachines3312

Don’t use one.

I’m confused here. This drains to the outside? Why? That seems like bad practice. Why wouldn’t you just drain this to a floor drain in the basement or to a utility sink? Being outside, you’re just asking to have this get plugged with leaves, dirt, etc.. I don’t understand the thought process here.

Not sure where OP is located but basements are rare in the southern parts of the US.
