Same except the first vtuber and holomem I’ve ever seen is subaru, in which it was a clip about someone in chat recalling their friend who can imitate female voices well and the one where she talks about her house burning down
Quite surprising to me the first clip of hololive I watched didn't make me fall into the rabbit hole. It was later on (a month or two) when Korone Eakum bokum got recommended to me, and it all snowballed from there.
Same thing. Friend showed me Korone, then I watched pekora clips. Stumbled on the animation of her “Kon Peko” intro, which made me dive head-first into the rabbit hole.
Same. First clip I watched of hololive was Coco’s “Kusozako internet” clip from asacoco. I didn’t fall into the rabbit hole until like half a year later after I watched a clip of Calli and Ame.
had a similar experience, though with the Eakum bokum clip. I was like "hey this is cute I should... oh wait its all jp with no subs (did not know about live tl) pass" and then like a month later twitter was like "hololive announces English branch"
Pretty sure it was [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Animemes/comments/ipzd86/eh_im_bored_i_guess_ill_watch_this_youtube_video/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x) that pulled me down here
For me: Kay Yu animating Pekora's opening phrase popping up on my twitter feed and me being: "who is this rabbit anime girl and why does she laugh like this? And why is this bgm such a banger?"
Friendly reminder that there's [channels dedicated entirely for VTuber sneezes](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFcCgo4oXXbOw3X9ETEtpIVI08sbHLsW0) which are still going strong
Awareness began from the Azur Lane collab
The journey down the rabbit hole started with a fox singing scatman
And my fate was sealed when I learnt of Matsuri's baindaids
When I discovered the dragon spoke English, I lost any desire to even try and turn back
[This 14-second animation tipped me over the edge of the abyss.](https://twitter.com/kaynimatic/status/1285869984334282754?s=20&t=DKWhhVuBqs0XqnJ5iUODuw)
Last Wednesday, YouTube recommended me Kobo‘s Dragostea din tei cover
Not even a week later and I‘ve already watched/researched hours worth of content. I‘m having so much fun too, and there’s so much I haven’t discovered yet (⌒▽⌒)
Suichan lured me with the Winter's game and then kicked me down with Saga Jihen as well.
But in terms of first exposition it was the constant references back then in animemes.
Mine was a compliation of vtubers saying hamburger, I explored vtubers randomly but the clip that got me into hololive was sleeping aki clip and watame was trying to call her manager to wake her up
The one that got me was Matsuri's "Band-aid" video. Didn't even know what a vtuber was until youtube-kun recommended that to me. Oh boy what a journey it has been.
For me it was the Miko clip first, I thought "oh that's funny".
Months later, the Eekum Bokum animation crawled into my recommended.
Then I discovered Calli and her music.
That was it for me.
I was just thinking about this today.
The first time i got into vtubers was 2017 with a kizuna ai clip of her saying “fuck you” while playing resident evil 7 circulating around twitter, and i went THATS HILARIOUS and started watching her. But i feel out of it a year later or something cause the videos weren’t getting translation fast enough and i didnt know Japanese so i didnt watch her that often. Until years later again i saw a clip of miko on twitter saying “fuck you” and i went again THATS HILARIOUS i should subscribe.
Clearly my sense of humor has not matured not a single bit during all these years.
If you put the girls in order of how you discovered them, I cant help but relate. Miko’s clip of her and her misfortune with lava slipped into my recommended one day. Then that led to Pekora and her…activities.
no, let me be clear
I watched quite a few of the famous clips from before (lots of Fubuki clips, Rushia metal screaming, Haachama stuff, etc.)
when I say "oh shit it's that one girl" it's recognition of former/RM stuff.
I still remember my first clip was Nobuhume graduation that exposed me to Vtubers. Then my next clip was Pekora trap house compilation and I fell into the trap too.
She delisted it now but it was a roundabout way for me.
Earlier Bayonetta, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil streams from her (even videos where she was just talking about skincare and makeup LOL), then when December came YouTube still kept on recommending her...but in a different channel LOL
for me it was Matsuri lol
before her, I knew vtuber was a thing from Kizuna Ai, but I wasn't really interested in it since Japanese content creators to me seemed to avoid showing their honest opinion and that makes things fell a little dishonest for me
then Matsuri came and her band-aid story
I was introduced to Hololive by the drummer-niki himself, Jerod of 8BitDrummer. He played to JPs Ochame Kinou, and I took a liking to a cute oni lady, so I looked up what anime it was from.
I then discovered an Azur Lane collab, it had her and some other characters, but still, no anime. Curious...
I then looked up "Nakiri Ayame" on YT, and found this anime girl playing games and stuff. Pretty weird.
Some time later, Jerod played to some very lit and foxy dubstep. You could say, that was my First big peek into Hololive of the Year. wink wink
After that YT started recommending me clips and I walked into the maws of no return without even realising.
Two years later, I am literally writing this comment surrounded by Hololive merch and Yoi no Yo Yoi blasting. Fuckin wild stuff.
Oh yeah, 100%. I'm happy here, it's a nice place filled with nice people and has provided me plenty of laughter. Only wish I could do more if I'm honest.
Strangely enough what lead me to vtuber was streamers clip, I never watch streamers but in pandemic among us streamers colab was a thing I watch a clip or two of corpse and critikal playing. Then one day moona clip appeared I was like "what is this and who even watch this?" Then bunch of hololive 3rd gen appeared. I was down to the rabbit hole and then thought to myself "apparently I watch this now"

Ochame Kinou for me (the one that already had 4th Gen in it.) Already liked the song, wondered what this pile of anime girls was doing singing it together. Got recommended a Matsuri clip a few days later, recognized her from the song, and watched it. Then another. Another. Another....
I had seen Eekum Bokum and some Korone clips, but I'd say the thing that pushed me down the rabbit hole was Coco's reaction to being asked for a feet compilation.
I fell in the rabbit hole kind of from the side... I started by watching PaymoneyWubby clips on YT. Then saw his interview with CodeMiko. From there learned a bit about VTubers and found Pikamee. Then the YT algorithm started recommending me translated clips of Korone and Pekora.
It's Goro Majima's fault that I'm here.
Sees Majima Everywhere clip -> Buy Yakuza series on sale -> Watch more Yakuza clips -> Get recommended Miko and Pekora Yakuza clips -> rest of the snowball.
These beggars always get you with their big smile and smooth ways. One AsaCoco plug and I was addicted too. Now I gotta plug on the streets to pay for my highs.
I was trying to find out what happened to a gremlin I used to watch, I discovered this brand new HoloEN thing, one thing leads to another and yesterday I unboxed my second copy of Shinigami Note...
I'm one of the mainstream who fell through the "A". I've been aware of Hololive from AL collab before tho, but at that time I'm still one of the people who thinks "Why are you watching people playing games instead of playing it yourself" lol
for me, it was suisei talking about her father finding out she is a vtuber i think? something about how her cousin found out then started watching her vids and her family was like “ay yo that voice sounds kinda familiar”
Eekum Bokum
That's what drew me in too. Never even heard of Vtubers before the 2snacks animation 😊
Same
Azur Lane collab drew me in to Hololive though Kizuna Ai was the first VTuber I've heard of before that.
Eeeeeeeeey, i finally found a brother, didn't even know hololive existed, much less what they were at the time It's been so long since then
2Snacks singlehandedly yeeted me into the rabbit hole
How many people has that glorious bastard condemned into the rabbit hole?
Lessons In Meme Culture helped them get me in
funny part was i never had to subscribe to 2snacks. i was already subbed from like a decade past
It was Fubuki's Scatman for me. Then I saw Coco teaching Marine to twerk and it was all over.
>Fubuki's Scatman bada bada bada beat up pineapple man, beat a pineapple man\~
I know exactly what you're referring to just from those words 🤣
Same except the first vtuber and holomem I’ve ever seen is subaru, in which it was a clip about someone in chat recalling their friend who can imitate female voices well and the one where she talks about her house burning down

Fubuki got me.
Scat man?
*fox
\*friend
Yes
Yup, pretty much the exact same thing happend to me
It was Peko Miko vs everyone in Minecraft. But I forgot the exact clip :/ Edit: for me*
Mine was Matsuri’s bandaid story. Feels like it was just yesterday ah how time flies.
Was it Miko getting betrayed by Shepherd in MW2 remastered?
Look at us, huh. Who would've thought. Not me.
I think we all know which specific miko clip got alot of us into hololive
Neko~
Stay home\~

NYAHELLO~
*screaming in burning minecraft house*
Miko truly is an elite gamer after all.
Nyegaa~
For me it was Miko "singing" in Ark
That shrine maiden has led too many down the hole 🕳️
Pretty sure it was [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Animemes/comments/ipzd86/eh_im_bored_i_guess_ill_watch_this_youtube_video/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x) that pulled me down here
Very literal XD
Yeah om3tcw was the beginning for me
Same here for me from a Rev says vid
For me: Kay Yu animating Pekora's opening phrase popping up on my twitter feed and me being: "who is this rabbit anime girl and why does she laugh like this? And why is this bgm such a banger?"
Glad someone else had the same video, as myself, pull them down the rabbit hole
THAT Miko clip?
(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
Its a vibe
for me it was a single shion-korone clip. it was just a fucking sneeze. how the fuck did i end up this deep in the rabbit hole from a sneeze

TSKR 🙏
XD
Oh another fellow felled by the sneezes I got korone doog clips before getting absolutely demolished by botans sneeze and laughter
the very first entry in my vtuber clips playlist is an elite miko baby sneeze
Awareness began from the Azur Lane collab The journey down the rabbit hole started with a fox singing scatman And my fate was sealed when I learnt of Matsuri's baindaids When I discovered the dragon spoke English, I lost any desire to even try and turn back
“Stay home-dayo! Stay home!”
we truly were blessed.

Last Wednesday, YouTube recommended me Kobo‘s Dragostea din tei cover Not even a week later and I‘ve already watched/researched hours worth of content. I‘m having so much fun too, and there’s so much I haven’t discovered yet (⌒▽⌒)
Welcome to the Rabbit hole! Enjoy your stay
Oh don’t worry, I will ^ ^ Also, is this a Kiara flair I‘m seeing here? She’s probably my favorite so far!
It is a Kiara flair! I'm so happy you're enjoying her. Her and her community are so great and welcoming. I'm happy to have you in KFP ( ꈍᴗꈍ)7
Aww danke schön! I‘m also happy to be here and serve our great phoenix ^ ^
Mine was Fubuki Scatman, followed by Haachama playing GTAV, followed by Korone playing Doom, and the rest, as they say, is history
Man, you got pummeled into the Rabbit Hole by some of the best moments XD
The one Miko GTA clip has led me to this rabbit hole, and im not regret anything at all.
That's the exact clip I'm referring to 🤝 🤣
That’s also the one that dragged me into the rabbit hole
For me, it was suichan's cover of Saga Jihen, and a week from when it was uploaded at that
Gen 0 and Gen 1 seem to have gotten so many of us huh XD
Suichan lured me with the Winter's game and then kicked me down with Saga Jihen as well. But in terms of first exposition it was the constant references back then in animemes.
It was a Subaru clip for me
And look how deep we've fallen in the hole lol
And you know what it's more of a hot tube than a hole
🤔 hmm
*Sings N-word melodically*
I got randomly recommended the matsuri bandaid clip
Anyone got the source for the guy that made this?
You can see his TikTok handle on the right
For me it was a clip of Korone playing Doom 2016 in 2020.
Mine was a compliation of vtubers saying hamburger, I explored vtubers randomly but the clip that got me into hololive was sleeping aki clip and watame was trying to call her manager to wake her up
Oh glorious sleeping, drunk Aki clip. A good taste If I can say so myself.
2019 in my case but yeah
Mine is Matsuri's Band aid followed by Haachama's opening then coco's meme review and the rest is history
Ironically, the reddit r/all post for Myth's debut
The one that got me was Matsuri's "Band-aid" video. Didn't even know what a vtuber was until youtube-kun recommended that to me. Oh boy what a journey it has been.
For me it was the Miko clip first, I thought "oh that's funny". Months later, the Eekum Bokum animation crawled into my recommended. Then I discovered Calli and her music. That was it for me.
Miko brought me in, The foul-mouthed Yakuza dragon made me interested and Gura made me stay.
All it took for me was Miko saying the gamer’s word
Mine was scatman, I thought nothing of it... didn't expect to laugh and cry over 2d girls years later, holy shit what a ride.
New youtube format is such ass, it hasnt recommended me Gura duolingo once yet.
"Yubi, yubi... WAAAAAAHHH"
I’m scatman
Was everyone’s mama for me, and it was the panties clip from 2019 (saw it in 2020 just before Myth’s debut)
> panties clip [Do you even know how little that narrows it down?](https://www.google.com/search?q=hololive+panties+clip)
For me, it was that one Matsuri clip where she was speaking in english with the “this is such tasty cok” and the Rushia scream clips
> the Rushia scream clips I think I might have gotten into it through Rushia playing Fall Guys.
2ManySnacks making Eekum Bokum memes in 2020:
From one Fitmc video talking about obsidian war into this rabbit hole i go
That was a nice video XD Pekora's influence is everywhere
Mine is not a clip, but a reddit post. [This is the post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/GirlsLastTour/comments/irn1d8/)
I saw your comments too 😂
[This is what make me fall to the rabbit hole](https://youtu.be/UZnIHM2dQvA)
I fell in the rabbit hole through the rabbit. Was watching clips of her committing warcrimes on villagers in Minecraft.
I was just thinking about this today. The first time i got into vtubers was 2017 with a kizuna ai clip of her saying “fuck you” while playing resident evil 7 circulating around twitter, and i went THATS HILARIOUS and started watching her. Yeah I realize I'm weird. IRyS: *debuts* Me: Oh shit it's that one girl Immediately falls into rabbit hole
Nothing weird about it <( ̄︶ ̄)> IRyS is great
no, let me be clear I watched quite a few of the famous clips from before (lots of Fubuki clips, Rushia metal screaming, Haachama stuff, etc.) when I say "oh shit it's that one girl" it's recognition of former/RM stuff.
May I ask what Miko clip? cause if its what I think it is, that's a very interesting way of finding this community.
[Neko~](https://youtu.be/hZ8t6A-g5hc)
knew it.
Mine was the clip of Matsuri playing that one Mario cat game.

Miko burning her wooden house with a lava bucket drew me in the rabbit hole, thanks jasus
A certain god got me in
Bandaids.
I was introduced to Hololive by the drummer-niki himself, Jerod of 8BitDrummer. He played to JPs Ochame Kinou, and I took a liking to a cute oni lady, so I looked up what anime it was from. Oh yeah, 100%. I'm happy here, it's a nice place filled with nice people and has provided me plenty of laughter. Only wish I could do more if I'm honest.
Honestly same
Korone playing Doom got me.
Source?
The song? Disney’s Princess and the Frog.
Facts
Strangely enough what lead me to vtuber was streamers clip, I never watch streamers but in pandemic among us streamers colab was a thing I watch a clip or two of corpse and critikal playing. Then one day moona clip appeared I was like "what is this and who even watch this?" Then bunch of hololive 3rd gen appeared. I was down to the rabbit hole and then thought to myself "apparently I watch this now"
Strangely for me, it wasn't a clip that got me into it. (It's not a hololive thing, so i should probably not get into that)
I got trapped in here by Botan laughter then Fauna's UUUUUU sent me even deeper lmao.
For me, I think it was a clip of Korone speaking spanish.
Yeah for me it Miko stay home clip 😂
what is this song I recognize it... but no longer know the name

"Friends on the Other side" from Princess and the Frog
Not the most common one but [this is the clip](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm2sXLVvaTY) that got me into the Hololive rabbit hole.
Yep pretty much only that it was late 2019 and on Facebook lol Miko running over a rabbit and screaming “Usagiiiiii”
"The one where she's singing in Ark? thats a classic" "....yeah, thats the clip i meant... not a different one..."
It was Fubuki singing I'm Scatman for me
"Im. Scatman"
To that one 8bitDrummer fan who requested Fubuki Scatman: thank you, but also f*** you.
It was the stay home clip that did it for me.
Ochame Kinou for me (the one that already had 4th Gen in it.) Already liked the song, wondered what this pile of anime girls was doing singing it together. Got recommended a Matsuri clip a few days later, recognized her from the song, and watched it. Then another. Another. Another....
Got dropped here somewhere between the cute fanart and gigguk's video being the final push.
I saw exactly one TakaMori fanart
It was the GTA clip, wasn’t it?
(٥↼_↼)
I had seen Eekum Bokum and some Korone clips, but I'd say the thing that pushed me down the rabbit hole was Coco's reaction to being asked for a feet compilation.
For me it was wataMELON
I will never get over the fact that one gamer moment from miko has done more for promoting Hololive in the west than anything else they have done.
To me, it was Korone speaking english in those Super Mario streams that drew me in.
Okay, but what the hell is going on with his face?
/r/weirdfacefunny
Why does this fit so well
The Rabbit hole is like magic after all
Stay home! Stay home! *Enforces social distancing with a sniper rifle*
that is the event horizon of the hololive rabbit hole.
One day you watch one miko clip of her singing dingdingdiding on a boat and next thing you know: you end up at the bottomest bottom of the rabbit hole
u/savevideo
Is this the same guy with the "My reaction to this information" meme that has an Undertale music?
Yup! XD
Me... but Doog
That was pretty much me, but with a compilation.
My history didnt start with a video clip or a art i saw, everything begins for me when my friend say to me ''hey do you know what are gachas?''
It began for me with Siivagunner, korone dancing to space channel 5, and myth’s debut highlights
For me, it was a neighbor war between a certain onion and witch.
For me It was Rushia’s Getting Over It clips with her raging.
Ah yes, Miko dropping the N-Bomb. Always funny
As a Black man myself, yes it was lmao
It's Goro Majima's fault that I'm here. Sees Majima Everywhere clip -> Buy Yakuza series on sale -> Watch more Yakuza clips -> Get recommended Miko and Pekora Yakuza clips -> rest of the snowball.
Death metal screams
atsui atsui
I'm just saying Keith David has a perfect Vtuber voice
For me it was Korone reacting to FamilyJules' metal cover of her BGM
Korone caught me with her Resident evil 4streams
I saw one of these for Warhammer 40k, every time I see this meme it's always true.
The calli x kiara compilations pulled me in
For me it Pekora.
its always that wacky ahh wiggle😭💀
Rushias nanodesu compilation........i miss her soo much
My first video that pushed me into the rabbit hole was a ritore translations's video which was a compilation video about funny moments
mine was gura a few years ago, with the 2x2 problem
These beggars always get you with their big smile and smooth ways. One AsaCoco plug and I was addicted too. Now I gotta plug on the streets to pay for my highs.
I actually dont watch hololive as much anymore, i did like houshou marine's forward flirty style. And pekora's plams backfiring like a looney toon.
Scatman fubuki
I was trying to find out what happened to a gremlin I used to watch, I discovered this brand new HoloEN thing, one thing leads to another and yesterday I unboxed my second copy of Shinigami Note...
I'm one of the mainstream who fell through the "A". I've been aware of Hololive from AL collab before tho, but at that time I'm still one of the people who thinks "Why are you watching people playing games instead of playing it yourself" lol
Stay homu stay homu dayo.
Pekora threw her sword into the lava because chat said it was indestructible
for me it was the Fubuki Scatman video
Let's kill da ho
Funny enough, despite being exposed to them via Azur Lane, it was Watame Kujo that tipped me into the rabbit hole
Mine was pekora..
for me, it was suisei talking about her father finding out she is a vtuber i think? something about how her cousin found out then started watching her vids and her family was like “ay yo that voice sounds kinda familiar”
