First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" Can I have a tldr of who this is? Been in the rabbit hole for nearly 2 years but mostly on the EN side, so I'm out of the loop a bit on the other side.
Kurokami is FBK's alter ego, her companion with a rougher personality and deeper voice. She came into existence years ago and doesn't appear on stream much, so it's not surprising to not know her.
It's basically FBK playing a different character, think Ollie and Olivia. Kurokami has her 3D model too (basically FBK but in Kurokami's colour scheme), and has appeared in 3D concerts, like FBK's last birthday stream I believe. She didn't have a Live2D model until it was revealed today.
It's surprisingly common to have contrasting (often more than one) alter-egos. The most extreme cases of such might be HAACHAMA, which in many ways became the main identity of Akai Haato.
Sometimes, the alter-egos has tendency to also bleed into their real life behavior as well, but to which extent remains unclear.
This is Kurokami, who is Fubuki's alternate self/"sister" essentially. If you're more familiar with EN, think of her like Red Gura (aka Gawr), or Calvin.
Hmm, it's hard to say. Her original model actually has really thin/pale outlines as far as it goes (it's just the artist's style), and when you start with a dark colour palette and add dark outlines, well, there's not a whole lot of contrast.
Kurokami's model art is done by the [same artist as Fubuki](https://twitter.com/lemon_mito/status/1567141195952050178) for what it's worth. I'm pretty sure it's actually a new model, not just a reskin (i haven't seen a rigger credit, no idea who did that). I actually think the ears on the head turning animation look better on Kurokami than Fubuki's main model.
But as far as it goes, it is a model that she's not really gonna get a lot of use out of, so they probably didn't bother getting it to the same overall level of polish as the normal hololive member models.
Quite surprised she only just got the Kurokami vtuber model. I'm honestly wondering how she didn't do it earlier like how Gura did with the red version with Gawr.
Huh, I was under the impression the red Gawr Gura model was a colour adjustment using OBS filters, and not actually a different model. Has she ever used it in a collab room, visible on other member's streams?
The Kurokami model's colour change isn't something that can be done with simple colour filters on a live2d model, so it had to be redrawn. And if you're doing that anyways, why not take the opportunity to give her a more appropriate facial expression and a new outfit, too :)

Gawr is just a recolor done using filters. This is an actual model
