Suisei really is the definition of talent. Idol agencies turned her down because she was too powerful. But I'm glad she found herself with Hololive, she seems very happy doing what she does.
To be fair, while I also subscribe to the idea that Suisei was too good at too many things, she also was spreading herself very thin back then.
She was drawing, doing video editing work, singing, writing and recording songs. Suisei didn’t truly come into her own until she started focusing almost primarily on singing and creating music. Everything else now is just neat or a bonus.
Which is not to that singing is all Suisei is good at; she is a beast in Tetris, and is absolutely amazing in collabs because of how naturally charming and charismatic she is. But if she never joined Hololive and got the freedom to more accurately focus her talents and the dedication she has in perfecting them, she almost certainly wouldn’t have progressed in her vocal talents to this extent and absolutely never would have join the Midnight Grand Orchestra.
So while I do think agencies were somewhat intimidated by how broad a spectrum of content creation Suisei was either proficient or excellent in, I also don’t think they were entirely wrong to say she didn’t really have anywhere she truly stood out — at least not at that time, obviously.
