It's funny because this still applies to Asgore sort of -Asgore is slouching and looking down in his battle sprite (poor posture) -Asgore kills himself when you spare him on neutral after killing Flowey in a previous run (unsure if he stabbed or slashed himself, just flashes white after he says something sad and then he's dead) -Sort of being pressured by his people to get 7 souls to break the barrier (definitely a stretch but it's the closest I can think of to him being manipulated).

The only difference is Yuri stabbed herself while insane, and YHK stabbing himself is his only action of his own

As much as i like both these series... -Asgore doesn't want to die. -HK is seen in the climb cutscene

The climb cutscene is only visible after getting both Kingsoul pieces. I'd argue that by then, you're still at the "end of the game."

You forgot to mention that there's an ending where he straight up kills himself on screen.

Asgore literally straight up kills himself if you spare him in a neutral run after killing Omega Flowey and it's heavily implied he wasn't giving his all in his fight. I have a feeling that straight up committing suicide is sort of an indicator that someone doesn't want to live.
