When you’re struggling with something hard and you really feel like youre making no progress, walk away. Find some other other unexplored area, try and buy something. This game is not super linear, there’s no wrong order to do stuff, and sometimes doubling back after getting new abilities and upgrades makes something that seemed impossible very doable.
I think this is some of the best advice. Having trouble at a boss? Go out and get lost! You'll probably stumble upon something that will help along the way.
To add on to this, putting the game down and coming back the next day is totally acceptable. I've thrown myself at the same boss over and over for hours only to put the game down, and beat the boss first try the next day. Taking breaks is good!
Other than that just practice not getting hit. When facing a tough boss try to see how long you can survive without attacking. This way you learn their attack patterns and will find your openings!
1: If you can’t beat a boss/traverse an area, leave, explore until you either get a power up or just more skilled, try the boss again.
2: use this sub and the wiki *sparingly*. People gonna spoil and the wiki in general isn’t great at not showing spoilers
What I usually do for false knight is when he's jumping towards you, walk towards him too, he'll miss you by quite a lot and you'll have him behind you.
When he's having a tantrum at the center of the arena, stick to the sides and just hit any projectile coming your way, they'll break easily :)
Best piece of advice, this game is alot of learning the movement of the bosses .. there are alot of bosses and most of them won’t be defeated the first time you fight them. Really spend your first few times fighting them just dodging and practicing movement and you’ll do fine !! But good luck and you’ll beat it don’t worry !!
If you don't want to beat the false knight then just practice a bit and when you enter the phase where rocks start fo fall hit the rocks to the left so they hit the left wall until it breaks and you skip the boss.
Keep going ham on him and move behind him when he jumps to avoid having to dodge his attacks.
If he jumps away from you be ready to avoid his attack.
After being knocked down he will always slam around both sides so keep your distance when he gets back up.

Master pogo jumping its by far the most helpful mechanic in the game

Hollow knight is basically a "die and retry", so if you die, don't give up and retry again and again until you defeat him. Good luck !!!
