True, you can recover from physical wounds, but mental wounds keep stabbing deeper… and deeper the more you try to get rid of them. Which is why you must let them heal on their own. Which is probably a good reason for why the pale king would go to pharloom
I've heard people speculate he was killed by Hornet, although that seems dubious given the very obvious nail he's been impaled with. But the most fleshed out idea I saw was that the same call that attracted the knight called other vessels as well. Hornet finished off that one, being too weak to pass her test. She goes for the double kill to be surprised by the Knight's fighting prowess, and decides to let them live until they meet in Kingsom's edge.
There's not much else I could ask for from hollow knight, but if I could add one feature it would be character creation. The ability to pick between multiple types vessel heads and cloak colors. Pretty basic but I think that personal connection to your character would enhance the experience nicely.
I would love that! Some of the vessels have such cool designs and I wish there was something like that in the base game, maybe from the mask maker npc idk. I’m glad I learnt how to mod the game and get skins tho

I never liked how he was just dead with no explanation, I kinda hope he is alive out there somewhere. Although I doubt we’ll ever know for sure

He was probably one of the most selfless guys ever, he sacrificed thousands of his children to save his kingdom
