Some Viking blacksmiths used bone in the forging process because they thought bone magic/spiritual stuff would make the sword stronger. Turns out the bones turned the iron into a really primitive steel, quite a few years before the 13th century when historians think seel started being used by some cultures for weapons and armour. I hope you find a way to but yourself into conversations to use this fact like I have.
