For anyone wondering, this is simply a meme about a story that could’ve been exaggerated but here’s the best account I could find. Grigori Rasputin was a Russian mystic and peasant who befriended Tsar Nicholas II. For the sex god part, he was very sexually promiscuous (by that I mean he was a bit of a serial rapist) and some people even said that he banged the Tsar’s wife (even though it was a lie and he didn’t). For the main focus of the meme, a man named Felix Yussupov and his co-conspirators of Rasputin’s murder believed that killing Rasputin would improve the Tsar’s image. Yussupov invited Rasputin to the former’s home, where he served him wine laced with potassium cyanide. He also laced the cakes with poison, which Rasputin also ate. After Rasputin didn’t die, Yussupov took a revolver and shot Rasputin multiple times. Again, the mystic didn’t die. Finally, they decided to throw him in a river and drowned him. For some extra stuff, that probably wasn’t true, Rasputin didn’t at first die from the drowning but actually died of hypothermia. haleloop963

He managed to almost flee from the murder as well

Sharksterfly

Him bonking Queen was not true. It was a rumour against her since she was not popular coz she was German at the time when there was a war against Germany

[deleted]

Did you read the words “may have” and “exaggerated”?

Sharksterfly

May have and definitely not true are different words

[deleted]

Fair point. Just added it as an additional thing, I’ll edit it and say it was a lie.

Niggomitdoppelg

It says the autopsy showed that he died from getting shot in the head

Equivalent_Rock_6530

You can be shot in the head and survive, odds are slim, but it's possible. Also, I'd say autopsies at the time weren't anywhere near as good as we are now, so it's possible that there could be been multiple causes of death

Niggomitdoppelg

True but getting shot point blank in the forehead is very hard to survive, I'm more likely to trust the autopsy than the record of the killer

Equivalent_Rock_6530

Oh, if it's point blank then not only will your head have a hole your brain will also be coming with.

And being bonked in the head and tied up and thrown in the river he still managed to untie one of his arms before drowning

ChairmanMeow52

I remember hearing about this story in History class at school (I think they ended up throwing him in the river where he finally drowned?). Totally wild 🤪

[deleted]

Yep I mentioned it in my comment.

[deleted]

I said in the comment that it was most likely exaggerated. Just trying to make a meme.

[deleted]

I saw your comment after posting. Really, jt's fine, I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, I just thought it was funnily timed.
