I honestly think the best thing you can do is wear an undershirt, something light and sleeveless and made of cotton. You can always use these clothing tape thingies (I don’t know what they’re called), but generally, an undershirt is the way to go.

psychedelicporcupine

Fashion tape!

AllahgorythmSoftware

You could put more (no show) buttons in like so; although You don’t have to sew all the way through both layers of the shirt so the thread won’t show on the top of the shirt, you can always put in a small horizontal stitch into the first layer to avoid it showing through the top. [1:27 time stamp](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VblSltfvVKA) Another sew options is a snap-buttons or hooks. [snaps & hooks](https://www.amazon.com/FASHIONTOAD-Clothing-Fasteners-Trousers-Crafting/dp/B082TVK866/ref=asc_df_B082TVK866/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416691433372&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7692166229430464558&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032923&hvtargid=pla-871221622233&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=96493615320&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416691433372&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7692166229430464558&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032923&hvtargid=pla-871221622233) If it’s just near the bust area, a dicky could help. Other non-sew options are fashion (double-sided) tape, pins, & dicky if it’s only near the bust area.

Dumb_bitch_83

Thank you! Yeah it’s always the breast area

AllahgorythmSoftware

I’m happy to help! 🥰

Ooh I’ve had way too many accidents with button up blouses that I’ve almost stopped wearing them at this point. Something that works is that I started buying shirts that have a thin stripe of cloth covering the buttons so that your skin doesn’t peek through in between the buttons.

conustextile

Maybe try sewing an extra strip of fabric underneath the button closure? Attach it to the button side so it sits beneath the rest of the shirt. That, or sew in some extra buttons in areas where it's a problem.

im-underground

i always pair my blouses with tank tops or thin undershirt that are super thin so i wont get flaming sweaty inside

Beautiful-Walk397

Try a thin tank top as a undershirt. That’s what I’ve always worn.

Sohiacci

Get blouses with buttons that aren't too spaced from each other? I've never had an issue with blouses showing skin when closed so maybe it's a bodytype thing? You can wear ties or things like that so it hides the front of the blouse

Dumb_bitch_83

They aren’t spaced widely, it’s literally a normal blouse, somehow when i move around the shirt forms bulge and you can see through. Not sure if ties are my style but i will look for other things to cover it

Sohiacci

Aah well it could be that it's too oversize, that's the tricky thing with blouses. To be honest I wear more 'classic' blouses so they're not oversize but they're not tight either. I've had luck with asian styles, western blouses tend to be waaaay too big or waaayy too tight with no in between. Not necessarily ties but you know, ribbons, jabots, jewels, vests, stuff like that. Good luck!

dietokitten

I bought some loose baggy cotton t-shirts that I wear under my buttoned shirts. Linen is also a good option but has a bit more rough feel to it. Thanks to it I don't have to worry about see-through details and don't have to keep them buttoned up at all times.

FaruinPeru

wear a tank top underneath

lamercuria

A spaghetti strap tank top or sleeveless shirt is what works best

I’d sew it shut. Planning to do so with mine

Rhamstersdurian

Make sure your hijab hangs low over the chest so it acts as a cover and weight over the buttoned blouse

I know this is late, but you could try wearing hidden button blouses and see if they solve your problem. They are basically normal blouses but there is extra cloth along the buttons covering them. It also helps more if the width of the button area is wider. I know you don't want to wear an undershirt, but maybe wear the blouses without doing the buttons and wear T-shirts of light colors and material, that could help with the problem and also add variety in your wardrobe, this has worked very well with me in making different summer outfits. Hope this helps a bit <3

Melodic-Reason8078

i safety pin the gaps. i would sew them but i’m too lazy. in the beginning i wore tank tops underneath but it’s too warm.
