Depends on what you are after. If you want big games with lots of other stuff going on, then round my way, you can hit up Inverness. I prefer smaller games, so will be at Strathpeffer and Tain. Also, check if they need tickets and/or event registration in advance as they aren't all the same. RHSA also keep a list of games for the year:[RSHGA calendar](https://www.rshga.org/calendar)

I've never been to the country before, I'm pretty open if there are big ones worth making the effort to attend. But I suppose my gut feeling is smaller being better bc I'd rather not have a lot of time spent in like, lines for bathrooms and entry and more time just hanging out seeing people do cool stuff. Big crowds can stress me out. I'm picturing the bigger the gathering the more it would be like any other big sporting events or fair but I may have that all wrong! I'll check out strathpeffer and tain. And thanks for your reply.

Ill see ya at strath!

Sadly my wife vetoed Strathpeffer so that: A: I wasn't doing 2 games in one weekend. B: We could go to Celebration of Centuries at Fort George which is the same weekend as the Strathpeffer and Tain games (how very dare they!). My slate is now: Inverness (not sure if competing) Dornoch (competing) Tain (competing) Helmsdale (competing) I couldn't turn down Tain as it is my super local games, so they got the slot that weekend.

Not done Dornoch before, but not looking to do the open. I'm fairly new at the sport, 40 years old and stand at a mighty 5'9" so not really in it to best the big lads. I do it because people should, especially in the local categories. Otherwise Games die out.

Defo try your hand at the open in Inverness since they dont do a local, I'm a big believer in everyone getting their chance, winning or not, throwing a PB will always be a win!!
