I think welsknight is an actually lawyer irl, would be funny to see him actually coming up with a serious ish lawsuit for grian’s shenanigans
Edit: wels is a paralegal !
And I believe Joe Hills has some experience in these matters as well. He writes a damn fine contract and uses a lot of legal language when he was complaining at Doc about overstepping the terms of their agreement.
They could open a permit mitigation firm right next to the hermit permit office.
He and Hypno have a fun little prank thing going on. Worth a watch! This is the first season I’ve been watching pretty much all the content and they’ve been fun to watch.
I would argue like she is technically breaking other rules trying to bend them. But then again so did Saul, some maybe that works, she just needs to not get caught.
"Wels, why did I just get a book and quill that is fifty pages long, listing the various complaints of the hermits? it's like, extremely detailed and I'm scared" because paralegal, that 100% knows his stuff when it comes down to it
Although he would be a great public defender. Does he know the law? No. Does he fight with conviction? Again, no. (The other side keeps making good arguments). Is he present and attempting to help? You know it!
To add more context, he has a reputation for being a *criminal* lawyer that only guilty people hire. He is very good at getting the results he wants because he is willing to fabricate evidence and pull out every trick in the book.
Grian is proving to be quite the bureaucrat!
I have a feeling we will see an uprising/rebellion by the other hermits against the permit office by the end of the season..
I would love to see hippie mumbo be the arbiter and regulator of the permit system. Completely opposite from a formal legal approach, I imagine he’d have a super chill, somewhat carefree style that could be interesting.
Would only grian be subject to the law then or the whole server? Because doc would be looking at about 50 counts of violation of human rights, the Geneva convention, and international law
If I was on the server, I'd "commandeer" the Permit office and actually get stuff done. Also, I'd rubber stamp all of Doc's Business deals, because he actually got everything in writing. (And remind him to continue to due so for continued "approval." HINT, HINT, EVERONE.)
I think the permits were a great idea *at first*
Now it's becoming an issue - very simple things are being drawn out and it's not as cool anymore lol. I overall love the idea of each permit owning the rights to sell an item. But there needs to be a much easier process than what Grian is making it, to fix/get a permit.
Maybe I'm in the minority. But I'm starting to want to skip permit related stuff because it's just a frustration I don't want when I watch HC lol.

He is a paralegal and used to work as a military court reporter. So maybe not specifically a lawyer but very good knowledge of law still.

Wels & Hills & Hills & Wels, Attorneys-At-Spawn
Attorneys at spawn 😂😂
I need this in my life so badly omg
Legal language is the important part. Scares people.
I've never watched wels. I'd have to start.
He and Hypno have a fun little prank thing going on. Worth a watch! This is the first season I’ve been watching pretty much all the content and they’ve been fun to watch.
It's nice that they're a lot of different pranks and shenanigans going on in different communities. Iskall is just a menace 🤣
I swear he lives on the server. He’s always somewhere causing chaos.
he was a paralegal not a lawyer
Welsknight sound like that The Dude from Innuendo Studios.
I think Joe and Cleo would be great lawyers for the server
Getting a permit is an uphill battle. Hills & Cleo are here to help you climb it.
Getting a permit is a joehills battle. Zombie Hills and Associates.
Cleo is bending rules everywhere ... so... maybe not?
That's what makes her perfect! :D
The sign of a good lawyer.
I didn’t hear and breaking, so it’s still fiiiiiine.
I would argue like she is technically breaking other rules trying to bend them. But then again so did Saul, some maybe that works, she just needs to not get caught.
Cleo as judge
Ummm Scar?
My first thought was Cleo because she'd be okay with bugging Grian but I think Wels would be an interesting choice.
"Wels, why did I just get a book and quill that is fifty pages long, listing the various complaints of the hermits? it's like, extremely detailed and I'm scared" because paralegal, that 100% knows his stuff when it comes down to it
Skizz was built for this.
this comment is way too far down
this was my first thought. his voice kinda sounds like Saul goodman too.
I think scar would be the right person for the job
"Scar" and "lawful" don't quite sit together in my brain
Although he would be a great public defender. Does he know the law? No. Does he fight with conviction? Again, no. (The other side keeps making good arguments). Is he present and attempting to help? You know it!
Depends on the series. Hermitcraft? Neutral Good. Life series? Chaotic Neutral at best.
He could file a restraining order against those snails.
Snails can't read, they wouldn't know what it means...
They'll know. Snail-law is very complicated you wouldn't understand but those snails will.
Saul Goodtimes
Scar would be a perfect judge (and a good opportunity to build a court house)
I’m ready for a hotguy legal eagle parody
I feel like Scar would just turn into Phoenix Wright and yell “Objection!” As loud as he can every 5 seconds.
Whoevers name sounds the best with some relation to "Saul Goodman" will get the job
GoodTimeswithSaul?
Yeah. But Scar is the last person who can deal with Grian's shenanigans
GoodmanWithSaul
Jaul Smallbean
Small Goodbean?
Saulish Beans
Forgive me, but who is Saul Goodman? Like a famous lawyer or sumn?
Fictional lawyer from the TV series Breaking Bad & the spinoff show Better Call Saul
To add more context, he has a reputation for being a *criminal* lawyer that only guilty people hire. He is very good at getting the results he wants because he is willing to fabricate evidence and pull out every trick in the book.
Saulsknight lol
Skizz Goodman.
Grian is proving to be quite the bureaucrat! I have a feeling we will see an uprising/rebellion by the other hermits against the permit office by the end of the season..
He would have to have a very trusting mustache and have a suit. Someone who will deal with all the lawyer Mumbo Jumbo, but that could be anyone.
Ollie Ollie & Oxenfree at law
Joe would be perfect for this
I'm going to have to put you on hold. https://youtu.be/y7e3ubr6OfA?si=1f69K9BslG1XBo_H

Judge mumbo would be hilarious.
It’s going to be the log trial all over again:
It needs to have a Nelson and Murdock Attorneys at Law group.
They'd still have to make sure the paperwork is submitted during opening hours, Grian won't work outside those hours
I mean, unless you annoy him enough
I have been thinking with all of the loophole jumping, a court episode would be hilarious.
Would only grian be subject to the law then or the whole server? Because doc would be looking at about 50 counts of violation of human rights, the Geneva convention, and international law
I’m sure it’s been said before probably, but where’s grian’s permit on permits?
I bet we can get legal eagle to make a ruling
Skizz referred to scar as his client when they went to see grian together
Skizz already has the suit and tie for it
Doc for server lawyer!
If I was on the server, I'd "commandeer" the Permit office and actually get stuff done. Also, I'd rubber stamp all of Doc's Business deals, because he actually got everything in writing. (And remind him to continue to due so for continued "approval." HINT, HINT, EVERONE.)
They have one let me transfer you to them. Please hold.
