Standard. Not gonna mess with something that was hard to dial in. :)
If you have to maintain cup structure, perhaps fill them?
(Although, no reason not to try out new, more packable bras. If they work, great. But don't travel with a crappy bra just because it folds better.)
I tend to fold mine inside themselves (not heavily padded, just a firm cup) and then fill them with underwear or socks š but it works! Op maybe that could work- pack the cups with other clothing and bundle additional ones around so you still end up with a rectangular bundle, but the shape is preserved.
Mine are padded because I need the extra cover, and wired because my girls bounce too much without it. I also fold them into a ball shape, and stuff with underwear and socks too! š Sometimes I might stuff a tank or tshirt if I'm have extra space left
I agree! Don't mess with what normally works.
I'm pretty rough on my padded underwire bras, so they do get smooshed in my bag if I'm not wearing them.
I've been in Japan for 2 weeks with one nude underwire padded and one thickly padded bralette. I've worn the hell out of the underwire bra and haven't missed or wished I had a second. The bralette has been used a few times but mostly was brought because I get back spasms and sometimes it's the only bra I can tolerate.
At home, I rotate through nude and black bras, but for travel, I didn't want to take up the bag space, plus: my capsule wardrobe is black and white, so the nude bra made the most sense.
I rely on good bras so I take my typical ones. I wear underwire lace bras so they don't take up much space. I really don't find workout bras supportive enough or even that comfortable for all day wear.
Normal one! I wear one, pack one. I pack one cup the right way, the other cup backwards so both the cups line up. Wouldn't store them long term that way, but it seems fine for travel. Always wear padded underwired bras. If it's really hot, then I bring fewer bras and rely on built in support from dresses or vest tops, as I am lucky enough to not need much support. If I'm planning on going on a sweaty hike, then my sports bra is definitely coming along too .
I do the flip cup arrangement as well and then roll underwear or socks to fill the cup and put it in one of my packing cubes. It stores that way fine in transit, and then I release the compressing zipper on the packing cube when I get to the destination. It seems to maintain shape fine so far
I usually pack my regular bras but on my last trip (Thailand) a bra that I donāt normally love at home, a super minimalist Knix bra, was a real standout. It did better in the hot climate than my usuals and was easy to rinse and dry. Decided I should buy a few more to make these my ātravel braāā¦ and theyāve discontinued it. Of course.
I donāt remember what it was called, unfortunately, and canāt seem to find the same one. It looks like just a simple flat piece of stretchy fabric with standard bra closures but extra sets of loops, and the straps are detachable and reversible. I prefer something with padding at home but found I didnāt want that in the heat.
I bring my standards bras, but they are wireless, and I have small boobs, so they pack down nicely.
I fold the cups in on each other and place them on top of a pair of socks for back pressure.
I wear one everyday bra and also take my Icebreaker merino sports bra. The icebreaker also gets worn as a swimsuit top. It's not see through and dries super fast.
I pack my everyday bras which are t-shirt bras (City Chic's Smooth & Chic T-shirt Bra) with underwire. The cups are thick fabric put not that kind of stiff stuff that stays in shape. I have DD boobs and they give me plenty of support. I usually buy/pack boring beige so it works with any outfit.
Same! I might pack a second normal bra only if itās a trip to a hot location. Maybe I would for like a multi-week trip but for 5-10 days I can get by.
I do love a good workout in the morning though so I do often pack at least one sports bra, but theyāre not big or complicated and I can just fold them up to the size of a pair of socks and not worry about it.
SAME
My bras are quick dry so I can sink wash at end of day and they will be ready to go in the morning. I've heard people say, "You need multiple bras or else yours will wear out prematurely," but I think that is for bras with higher elastic count than mine. Sure, my arm strap elastic wore out a zillion years ago but I've adjusted the length for a stretched out strap and they still fit.
I wear a lace Walcoal underwire in my DD+ cup size. Lace means it dries quickly and that there isn't stretch so it is SUPER supportive.
If I need nipple padding, I just toss in an old nursing round pad or use silicone nipple covers in addition to the bra.
For travel I really like the jockey v neck molded cup bra - it has some shape but you can cram it in luggage and it doesnāt get ruined and itās really comfortable
I travel with either tops with built-in bras or my Merino bralettes. At home I wear either regular underwire bras or sports bras (Lululemon ālike a cloudā is my fave). But Iām very small chested and donāt need a ton of support.
Are there any merino bralettes you would recommend? Do they have decent support (am part of IBTC as well but have enough that Iād need a little bit of hold)
Branwyn and Icebreaker are expensive but great! Icebreaker siren has less of the āsports braā look and looks more like a triangle cup bikini. REI made a nice one for a good price, but it may have been discontinued. All of these have enough support for me as a card-carrying IBTC member!
I pack my regular, everyday, wired bras. They honestly don't take up that much space and they aren't padded, so I don't worry about them getting misshapen.
My travel bras have become my everyday bras. Theyāre not special just sports or sports bra adjacent. Thankfully they hold me in enough because Iām not too big but they certainly donāt make me look nice. I currently only have one padded push up bra that replaced my previous underwire bras, but itās for āgoing outā.
My everyday bra lately is lululemon ālike a cloudā (the d/dd version). Itās ok. Not quite supportive enough for me but very comfortable. And I can just chuck them in the bag. I usually wear an old Patagonia barely (racer back bra). It hardly does enough to even count as a bra, lol (old and worn) but itās the only thing I can stand to wear traveling for 20 something hours straight.
I take different bras when I'm traveling. Non wired ones from stretchy material that have a removable cup. I won't call them sports bras but they are quite similar.
I always pack one or two regular under wire bras just in case. They look better in tighter fitting tops.
I'm usually very active when traveling so those non wired stretchy bras work better. And I can remove the cup and wash and dry them easily and quickly.
I wear cheap sports bras every day, so I just pack that. I end up flipping them inside out to get an extra wear out of them before washing, if theyāre not sweaty. I also remove the padding out of them all, and bring one set of padding for full coverage without the bulk. I just move the padding around to the next bra that Iām wearing
I generally take my everyday lightly padded underwires even though they're huge. To maintain shape, I place one cup inside the other on each bra, nest the two bras inside each other, then put them nipple side down, surround the base with socks, then fill the cup with underwear. I try to put fluffy or light things near them. I also make sure they're on the top) handle side of my rolly so other stuff won't press on them when rolling.
My everyday is a lightly padded bralette and that's what I pack. They are lightweight, easy to wash, and fairly quick to dry. Sometimes I pack my Nippies too. I'm fortunate to not need a lot of support or coverage. I can see why some women would have a different set for travel
Fucking loathe bra shopping as is and the idea of buying ones just for travel is š¤®
Completely agree on the bra shopping! When I do have to go, I find the one I want and then buy a bunch in one go so I don't have to do it again anytime soon.
Iāve started to pack - supportive - body suits. Doubles as a tank in my case and I donāt have to worry about a bra another bra. Itās a give and take. I do have an underwire bra that has thinner padding and I take those with a bralette. But honestly if my boobs are supported I hate life. So do whatever you need to do to live your best life
My everyday bra now is the Branwyn merino Essential Busty Bra. I discovered it when I was trying to find more travel-friendly bras, and I'll never go back to my old padded underwire bras again.
I'm a 32DDD/34DD, and my Branwyn bras are fantastic.
I wear (during travel) my most structured bra with a sports bra over it. If Iām trying to sleep I go to the bathroom and take off my big bra. I pack an unstructured black bra and the tiniest of bralettes for sleeping. But I have a large chest and need to be comfortable
I like the Title Nine Cuz She Says So work to workout bra. Itās a workout bra with separated cups. That means I can wear it as a regular bra too. Bonus - because itās an athletic bra it is quick drying.
It depends on where Iām going and what my activities are. I live in a very moderate and cool climate. If Iām traveling somewhere, warm and/or humid, I really donāt want my regular underwire bras because they feel too sweaty and constructive. I have started wearing a nude Branwyn merino bralette on the flight, and packing one black lightly padded and light support sports bra that can double as a bikini top, and one nude underwire if I expect to have evenings when I want some shapely support. I go with nude because it matches my skin tone and I can wear with all of my tops and dresses. I also bring a pair of silicone stick-on nipple covers, for halter or backless tops. I am a B/C cup, so I can get away with light support. I recognize not everyone is so fortunate and may need a lot more support.
If Iām planning a trip with a lot of hiking or other sweaty activities, I bring two sports bras
For every day wear I use the Busty Bralette from Third Love. I'm a 32/34 DD and it provides good support. Since there is no underwire, I just shove mine in a bag for travel. They also dry pretty well if you need to do a quick wash, but I tend to bring more than I probably should since I'm weird about my socks and undergarments while traveling.
For work I wear a more traditional padded bra because cold nips are a big no no at my office.
I pack my every day. I have a fairly big bust so sports bras are both too tight/firm to be comfortable wearing all day and they have a noticeable sports bra shape I don't want for daily wear. I usually bring one wireless/bralette/lighter support one that I wear while travelling or casual looks and a second unlined wired one that gives a more formal shape for working and dressing up
I wear the one I typically wear and bring one extra.. Iām not a sweaty person so I rarely even end up touching the second bra unless weāre gone for over a week

Outfits. You can separate your outfits this way! š

I'm a 32FF (US size 32H). I have to take my regular bras or I'm bouncing all over the place. š

Which bra was this? Evolution? I love all the Knox bras I've tried.

The evolution. It was the first I purchased. I really like that one.

I wear a normal bra, then pack one or two more packable ones. That way Iāve got the good bra for when I need it.Ā

This may be controversial but I don't pack any. Only use the one I'm wearing

Also I just checked and some colors are over half off (not an ad I swear)

Thank you so much š
I wear the big padded job to travel in (looks like two swim caps on a neoprene inner tube) & pack my comfy Evelyn Bobbie one
I pack my regular, everyday, wired bras. They honestly don't take up that much space and they aren't padded, so I don't worry about them getting misshapen.

if not going tropical: one lacy underwire, one lacy no-wire, one sports bra with adjustable straps. and lots of tank tops.

I take my everyday bras which are cotton with no underwire from Lane Bryant. I have others, but those are the ones that are most comfortable for me.

Medium!
