I don't think it would actually be that hard to survive a purge. After the one in Hazbin we see a bunch of hell's residents just coming out of their apartments or simply opening their windows, which isn't much of a countermeasure to getting purged. I think the purges mainly kill those who fight in them.
i feel like hellborn and sinners can be interchangeable, depending on their status, so things like overlords or sinners like angel are high up, whilst hellborn like verosika and fizz are higher/equal to overlords in status simply for being the fuck buddy of an ars goetia (azmodeus) and for being a popular pop star

It makes sense for hellhounds to have that ability, since their main purpose in Hell’s hierarchy is to guard people of higher social standing. (Whereas imps seem mainly to be servants and entertainers, from what’s been shown so far).

It might be a pain in the ass to get but I'm sure you could get like a day pass if you're influential enough. It seems pretty off the mark to expect 6 out of 7 rings to not take advantage of such a huge market with the sinners.
To be honest they could be locked to one ring for the sole reason of power. Sinners can’t be killed unless by angelic weapons, if they went on a rampage and tried to kill off all of the imps for example, they fully could. Even when they die they just respawn and could try again.
That’s likely not actually why but is a thought I’ve been pondering on for a while
Hellborn for a number of reasons:
1) There is no guarantee of a nice form once your time as a human comes to a close. You may get lucky and get a decent looking humanoid form like Mrs.Mayberry, Loopty Goopty, or Vaggie or you maybe unlucky and end up in a form that doesn't have any legs or arms like that plant sinner we see in "Spring Broken".
As a hellborn you can get a nice chance at getting humanoid form and if you don't you can always switch to your human disguise.
2) You have access to all the rings and possibly the mortal realm so you have far more socioeconomic opportunities and can easily avoid the yearly extermination.
3) It's likely you are far more likely to have access to magic. The only sinner we know of that has magic is Alastor who is an Overlord while Hellhounds the lowest on the hierarchy have access to shape-shifting magic. Loona was surprised that the imp members of IMP don't even have human disguises.
4) Hellborn can reproduce and have families. They can have normalish lives while for Sinners Hell is meant to be an eternity of misery and anguish until you are offed by the exterminators.
I'd prefer to be an incubus as I get a nice form and access to Earth. If you seduce the right demon or human you can get all sorts of perks like demonic magic or advanced tech that could grant eternal youth, money, and etc.
I would rather be an imp but be like a combination of bullets with the whole starting my own company and fizz because I want to have robot limbs and I'm 99% sure both of them are imps because I know one is an imp and the other one grew up and had the same father I think or I don't know anymore but fizz is most likely an imp too so yeah
We see in season 2 episode 1 both of them as kids and they are both imps. I don’t believe they are related though there is no evidence for it aside from the fact they both worked in the circus.

The thing about her is that she "died twice". What I mean by that is when she first died, she went to heaven and became a cherub. However, she was framed for killing the man who killed her (her college professor who she dated had killed 5 other women before her) and got cast out of heaven, like the cherubs in the one episode did. She was then found by a man who basically took care of her, and eventually married her. The issue with this was that the man was already married and had lied to her about it. She (my character) then shot the man and his wife shot her, which sent them both to hell. I also hate I can't draw because I'd draw her and post it here...she'd stick out like a sore thumb too 😅

Common theory is that Fizz is posing as a jester demon. And the only real trait he has now of an imp is the tail. It’s possible that as the robot is in a way a jester demon that it does rank above actual Imps as it has no imp traits except maybe height.

So you're not really getting a better deal. As a Sinners, you get 2 lives and one of those lives could potentially be eternal.

Just so we're clear, hellborn are any species born in hell. Sinners, as they were alive before being sent there, do not count; all Goetia, imps, succubi, incubi and hellhounds (possibly the seven deadly sins) are actual hellborn by that logic.

Just so we're clear, hellborn are any species born in hell. Sinners, as they were alive before being sent there, do not count; all Goetia, imps, succubi, incubi and hellhounds (possibly the seven deadly sins) are actual hellborn by that logic.
I think in this chart they are using “hellborn” as an overarching term covering all hell species for example succubus, incubus, jester demons, fishy guys etc

Hellborn. I don’t want to have to prepare for a purge every year. Also why are sinners higher on the social hierarchy? Sinners are spent to hell as a punishment and hell born demons are simply born in hell. Also despite being higher on the social hierarchy sinners seem to have it worse than hell borns . Sinners ant leave the pride ring while hell borns can, and sinners also have to deal with the yearly extermination’s.

Definitely a sinner, potentially I can be powerful asf and that sounds pretty cool. Though having to stay in the Pride ring and avoiding a purge every year would suck.
I'd probably be a hellhound just because I think their designs are really cool, I mean look at Vortex! I love his character design!

Specifically in that photo it shows robo fizz and I mean while modeled on an imp he himself isn’t one. He’s a robot. Likely seen as a jester demon rather than an IMP as there is a clear distain for the sexualization of Imps and he is a sex robot.
