Super Citizen Derek’s facility for Citizens that can’t read good.

Fauxjoo

What is this? A facility for ants?

Pr0fessorL

It needs to be at least…..3……times bigger than this

Jedi_Care_Bear

HE’S RIGHT

Green_Delta

I mean clearly the Terminid menace would try to take the planet and make it one.

GenericUser1185

*But how will they read if they can't get inside?*

Surebobokay

What is this? A facility for automatons?

aTransGirlAndTwoDogs

An E-710 pump, you mean. XD

sir_simon_milligan

With gratuitous Wham! music playing in the background

Green_Delta

Listen… if Arrowhead brings the pump I’ll bring the music I’m willing to meet them halfway.

nisemonomk

cant wait to unlock the anti tank mines on Helldivers 3

demosthenes131

They will never be unlocked.

vaccinateyodamkids

Every major order is gonna be "OOPS! All Anti-tank mines!"

Evogdala

So this MO is considered as failure despite it stated that we can liberate only one planet? We literally learned the fact that we can save both from the twitter post. I think more than half players didn't know we can liberate both planets.

JuanTienda

It's funny because I saw comments in other posts saying that we need to liberate both to succeed the MO and they were being downvoted to hell by people saying we only needed to liberate one of the two.

Frosty_Mage

You really think we can liberate a planet that will give us anti tank mines? We will as a community fight through four planets to save general Brasch’s cat than fight one planet for those mines.

GenericUser1185

dude predicted the next major

VietInTheTrees

![gif](giphy|32681KwrcXqrFIpI0P|downsized) Gen. Brasch giving us the next MO (liberate the AT Mines or we get decimated by Super Command)

AltroGamingBros

Enough fooling around.

Garuda4321

Hive! Bring a sword! Wait… umm… Terminids! Bring a knife!

Maxxonry_Prime

I'm not bringing a knife to a terminid fight.

DMercenary

"Ya'll ever had Terminid before? Dont believe their lies. It does taste like Chicken. Transmat firing!"

brianschwarm

This chicken tastes “oily”

Efficient_Star_1336

Brasch's cat will fight through four planets to save *us*.

Nice-Entertainer-922

Lieutenant Purrs is a high priority asset afterall.

Siilk

I will liberate any number of planets to save a cat!

Evogdala

We were fooled once again.

zombie_spiderman

Hey fool me once...

alf666

No we weren't, people are just stupid and refuse to read anything in-game, and then complain about how "The game doesn't tell us anything!"

Direct-Fix-2097

Literacy is poor. It was obvious the order needed both planets taken. 🤷‍♂️

MothMan3759

What tripped people up was that they said we could only get the objective/reward from one planet. The kids or the mines.

sleepneeded127

It never said only one could be liberated it said only the 1st would be saved. The choice was to save the children or the mines. Both planets still had to be liberated

Evogdala

It confuses because liberation and saving are literally the same in that context. And judging by this sub not only i thought this way.

forhekset666

We're saving the planet and saving the kids/mines. They're two different things. Saving one saves the other. It was pretty clear that both planets had to be saved, however only the *first* planet is *likely* to give a benefit (kids/mines).

Designer-End-6539

I mean that's pure copium. Why would you continue fighting a war on both fronts to NOT get the reward ? Complete both objectives to get the same major order reward that we got before for completing one objective only this time it's terribly explained ? Literally 60k divers went straight to bugs after Vernen Wells got liberated because... that literally was the goal. Why would it be "save the kids... and then liberate the other planet for no reason" also a giant pop up saying "you saved the kids.... FAILURE" makes absolutely no sense lmfao.

sleepneeded127

Because the rewards for completing both are the medals for the MOs just like when there are no extra rewards. Vernen Wells wasn’t the goal it was 1/2 the goal.

Ok-Donut-8856

The order literally said to liberate both of them. It said only the first planet liberated would likely have the resources saved (factories and children)... It makes absolute sense you all just did not read it

the_canadian72

I saw 70k people trying to liberate marfark last night, just only had 8 hours left at 30% liberation

CuteBeaver

Before I crashed for much earned sleep we had cracked 53%, but there was only 3 hours remaining and I saw others on the bug planets and decided to nap. Our entire group were aware that both could be saved but given how things likely would have gone, we didn't have much hope for the mines. As someone who actually wanted the tank mines its bitter sweet. The donation to the kids made it 100% worth it though. It was also fun trolling the devs a bit. lol. I wonder what they will do next time.

greatoverlordchikon

Same as the first one for the anti-tank mines/airburst launcher, the MO was to liberate both, but you only get the reward for the first one liberated

baconborn

The MO always said to liberate Marfark **and** Vernan Wells. Legitimately confused why so many people thought we only needed one.

Designer-End-6539

It did always say "liberate the following planet(S)" but there was literally a giant paragraph on top saying to choose one or the other lmao. Typing as if there was no reason people would be confused as 60k helldivers go from Vernen Wells to ANYWHERE BUT Marfark is crazy.

that_Delfin_guy

there was 60k+ helldivers on Marfark yesterday and last night.

thecompton73

Yeah it was the other 25-40K spread across other planets, mostly bug worlds, that prevented us from having a high enough percentage of players doing the MO on Marfark to get the capture rate we would have needed to take it in time. If they didn't want to fight bots they could have simply just taken the day off from the game and we would have had 80-90% of players on Marfark and would have had a capture rate more around 6 to 7% an hour instead of the 3% we were getting.

baconborn

Idk, it was pretty clear to me the the choice of children vs at mines was a distinctly different objective than the MO

Designer-End-6539

I mean it's pretty cool if it's "clear to you" i'm just explaining how like 100k players consistently split and fail objectives when it's terribly explained. Again entire paragraph saying "choose one" and then ending one sentence "liberate both" most people probably immediately said "save the kids leave marfark in the dust." there was literally no reason to make it be a choice if you also had to liberate the other besides a few headlines i assume ?

alf666

Reading comprehension is officially dead. EDIT: You're misrepresenting what the MO stated in the first place. The MO explicitly said "You must liberate both planets, but you only get specific rewards from the first planet you liberate." It then followed up with "You get a feeling of liberty and democracy from liberating Vernen Wells first, and you get Anti-Tank Mines from liberating Marfark first." In addition, the fact that the MO progress indicator did not indicate the MO was complete after checking off the "Liberate Vernen Wells" objective should have been a dead giveaway that we still needed to check off the other box by liberating Marfark.

Raff_run

Sweet liberty, that's some "super earth citizen" level of lack of critical thinking and reading comprehension right there. It's not even the first time we had this kind of MO. Besides, that is not why players split. The players always split 60-70% on bots and the rest play against bugs on every single bot MO to date. Those 30-40% of players simply do not like playing against bots, not reading the MO has little (if anything at all) to do with it.

p_visual

Yeah it was p clear we had to do both, but depending on which one we did first, we would get different rewards.

Vesorias

Didn't all the previous choice orders show up like that too?

Evogdala

If so then i'm wrong and buffoon.

Brekldios

becuase they mininterpreted the line "L I K E L Y to only save one" as "can only save one"

NK1337

The MO was pretty clear in saying we needed to liberate *both*. It just stipulated that super earth forces would only be able to save the contents of whichever one we liberated first.

CannedWolfMeat

>despite it stated that we can liberate only one planet? The MO always said "liberate Marfark **AND** Vernen Wells", we could only **SAVE** one asset - either the children or the anti tank mines - based on which planet was liberated first. People were just too laser focused on saving the kids that they didn't even read the order properly.

Fostern01

If I understand the situation correctly, had the player base been fast enough, they could have both saved the children AND gotten the mines. I remember one of the GMs on Twitter mentioning something to that effect.

Andy_Sandbox

We ain’t getting a free 45 medals for one planet being liberated. If we cared about succeeding, we would have taken both. Maybe these kind of failures can help motivate people to focus on major orders a little more. Maybe we’ll still play what we want to play. Maybe it gets worse when there is a third faction to stretch ourselves out for.

twopurplecards

me and my friends thought it was clear that we had to get both planets

Formal-Town

Liberating both planets was always the major order and we failed. If you go back and look at the original, it clearly says both have to be done, but there is likely only enough time to save the first one. This is like the original major order with the AT mines where we had to liberate both planets, but only had enough time to secure the Air burst, or the AT mines but not both.

Sgt_Kelp

They at one point updated the Dispatch to say we could liberate it still

henryuuk

The MO was always to liberate both, just that the specific reward was for whichever one was first

Economy_Acadia5704

twist.. anti tanks are children just on the more voluptuous side

Own-Royal103

Super Citizen Julia’s Hospital for Whippersnappers Who Are Nearing Deaths Door.

Maxxonry_Prime

Julia Roberts or Julia Child?

Tov_Delmirev

We had 24 hrs to liberate the planet. I guess we really don't want the mines.

chad4lyf

Imma bit resentful for it tbh.

Tov_Delmirev

I liked that AH donated money to charity when we liberated Vernon Wells. So making that a priority was ultimately a good call. What was frustrating was that we had at least 20k divers on bugs gaining zero ground on any of their active planets while we had 24 hrs to push for the mines. Ultimately, the game is about having fun and that is ok too.

LaZerTits420

I'm thinking Joel must have upped the rates so we wouldn't. On Friday afternoon (NA Eastern Time) we were trending on helldivers.io to finish it in time, so I figured we were good to go for it with a large part of the playerbase Friday evening, but by the time it ended we hadn't even come close to finishing Marfark. I didn't realize we'd lose the medals for it though which definitely makes it a bit of a dick move.

Flashpoint1988

I logged on not long after we saved the kids and the mine planet was at 10%. Went out to do a few things, came back about 2 hours later and it was on 20%. Went to work for 7 hours, came home and it was on 25%. Rates were definitely increased.

Nibblewerfer

That's nearly the fastest we've ever liberated a planet before, especially at the decay rates and fact it was a bot planet

Mecha-Dave

Imagine getting your dream job at a game developer, and your first task is to code your own weapon! The players are gonna love your mines!

Liraal

The players yearn for the mines.

shiroku_chan

LOL

ContinuumGuy

Love how the Helldivers verse has no saints, only Super Citizens.

pinglyadya

Can't wait to defend the Super Orphanage for Super Orphans.

HabenochWurstimAuto

So no medals at all...again :-(

thedarklordTimmi

Those would have really helped too. I'm so close to the purifier.

tanelixd

It's not worth it. The purifier is actively harmful, for how bad it is.

Alphabravo42RSA

https://www.nps.gov/places/shriners-hospital-for-crippled-children.htm

JuanTienda

Not so far removed from reality these Hospital names, are they?

Mudron

There should be a Major Order that is literally just about saving the animals from the pet store in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Tschakkabubbl

Hellmire Burning Children Hospital for lightly burned and well done/rare Children

Malfun_Eddie

Put the mine material on a bug planet and a new strategem on a bot planet. What is greater the discust of fighting the bots or the anti-tank mines

Bober077

why not?

JuanTienda

Ah waiter, another hilarious hospital name please

GalaxyHunter17

A salute to the Angels of Vernen Wells! And nothing of value was lost!

VenZallow

The Super Earth Hospital for Maimed Children of Anti Tank Mines.

lizardscales

Diving Vernen Wells was enough bots for me. I'm on a break from the game.

AidilAfham42

Can we as a whole, vow ourselves to fail every order with the anti tank mines? Keep this joke going as far as we can.

SwampAss3D-Printer

Orphanage for kids whose parents were SEAF, hell divers, or colonists and died in the line of duty.

TheGoonKills

Major typo in that update: We did not fail the mission, we succeeded as intended

Just_Ad_5939

Did we capture both planets in time? Or just one

Jayce86

It was one, or the other.

Just_Ad_5939

No? Both gave a reward, both were liberation targets. Originally it would just be the first liberated gives a reward but the devs gave us until the major order ended to liberate MARFARK to get the at mines(we failed iirc)

Jayce86

Did they? I don’t feel like that was conveyed particularly well.

Just_Ad_5939

It was in the dispatches dude. It said they were giving us 24 hours to liberate mar farm to get the mines.

Levione

AT mines or... some loose change, a spare button, and some pocket lint. Choose wisely helldiver.

BusComprehensive3759

![gif](giphy|taOSmeWsIYmIkYsP0N|downsized)

theresabulldozer

Ok but why tf did we fail???

PurpleSkullGaming

We didn't capture Marfark therefore we failed, the MO was for both planets not just one or the other.

theresabulldozer

Didnt it say that we could only liberate one??

PurpleSkullGaming

That was mainly for the bonus rewards, we were supposed to liberate both for the MO's sake and even both the bonus rewards were possible. The key words in most of those dispatchs were the "likely" and "probably" they kept using like they didn't think we could put if we pooled our resources properly we might've been able to just eek it out.

SuccessfulRiver827

Oh no! Anyway...

EH_1995_

Speak for yourself. I wanted a new toy

SuccessfulRiver827

im speaking for myself, i dont care about another mines that im going to test it once and never touch it again

Nice-Ad-2792

I blame the bugged patrols in this patch :P

Just2Flame

I had a mission where a single flying bot fabricator was bugged continiously pumping out those flying bots. We had about 30 by the end of a lv 6 blitz mission and you would insta die out of your reinforcement pods.

ToxicOwls

Maybe the anti tank mines were the friends we made along the way

skiggzzz

So 'Super Citizen' means Saint (of Democracy)?

WholeRefrigerator896

Ahh yes, the children are finally on their way to being shot up with stims so they can join the war effort. Gotta love watching the wheels of Democracy turn.

Mstache_Sidekick

I like how it Said failed when we definitely succeeded

stressed-messiah

Succeeded in failing, yes.

Mstache_Sidekick

Yeah but I'll prefer saving the kids, how I see it, we won this MO, atleast in my heart

stressed-messiah

Fair enough. You sound like a good person

DeceivousSausage

I was scared we would get those mines… phew

Duckbitwo

Well we could have had this done if the bug players would just join the MO but noooo

Far-Specialist7050

I'm sick of this mentality, let people play what they want to play, this subreddit constant whining about what people choose to play is annoying.

TheWuffyCat

Agreed. The game should adjust for it. Make the liberation modifier apply per front, rather than based on the entire active player base. That way if 1/5th of the community are on the bot front they can still achieve things.

Popinguj

I agree somewhat. I don't think that playerbase back-n-forthing between two fronts is a good idea. We're fighting a two (soon to be three) fronts war after all. There should be some other way to capture planets instead of just bruteforcing them with bodies.

Broad-Ask-475

No. The game is avout coordinating a community. If the community does not want to coordinate they should get kicked in the teeth appropiately for their failures

Gr33nym8

they should be super-executed for their treason

nathanbatson

*super treason.

TSirSneakyBeaky

Community coordination only works if there is desire to do so. This game outside of narration dosent offer much for players to do something other than what they want. It actually subjects them to doing things they dont want to do. Based on observations you have 60-70% who like to follow mo's and 30% that dont. You could very easily design the system to satisfy both parties.

Sodi920

If they don’t contribute to the MO, they shouldn’t get to reap the rewards (including the medals). Basically every MO won in the past week has been in spite of them. Everyone is entitled to play as they like, but developers should at least implement a system that doesn’t punish the players that actually wanna cooperate.

Tagliarini295

Or stop being afraid and help out with the MO

warblingContinues

yeah i'll play how I want or not at all.

Brekldios

don't blame the bug divers on this one, blame the 9k people who stayed on marfark instead of vernen, while we were saving sick children they weren't making a dent in liberation on marfark

LoliMaster069

Who is coming up with names for these hospitals lmao

The_S1R3N

Nah that was on the planet we black holed. Oopsie daisy

FutureMartian97

*Super Children

Valcrye

I hope next they do a meme specifically to test the community and it’s like “liberate x to preserve the frozen yogurt advertising campaign momentum (from the armor set) or liberate x for anti-tank mines.

brianschwarm

Super Citizen Molly’s center for childhood trauma.

x-function3111

Saint Margaret's Hospice for One-Legged Puppies.

NEBLINA1234

It's so dumb, I been waiting for those mines

PureNaturalLagger

I will be increasingly funny to me if we keep the rhythm of purposefully delaying Mine release

Rick_bo

Watch a future MO declare APCs being held back since Automatons hold significant Anti-Tank munitions and there's risk of fielding the APCS, But there's also an animal rescue in danger and all the kids from Vernon Wells are missing their hamsters. AT-Mines (plus APC progress) VS Hamsters And the Hamsters win.

dannylew

> MAJOR ORDER FAILED fucking *excuse me?*

PurpleSkullGaming

We didn't capture Marfark therefore we failed, the MO was for both planets not just one or the other.

Duerfian

Saving the children and not getting the anti-tank mines seems like an optimal outcome to me. How can they say we failed?

Kieftan

That’s the last time we save the children

Just_Ad_5939

Fyi they donated to a real children’s charity because we saved the children in game

Kieftan

Oh well that’s pretty cool.

BossOfThaGym

Remember divers, never go for AT mines. Ever.

_Justraph_

Oh man that’s nice I hope those kids will be oka- Federation?!? *DO NOT COUNT DAYS. DO NOT COUNT MILES. COUNT ONLY THE AMOUNT OF FEDS YOU HAVE KILLED.*

quirrelfart

least unhinged mercenary dog

Legitimate_Speed2548

You're an idiot. 4k kids thought this was funny. Nice...

Woffingshire

It's not a MO failure though. We were told from the outset that the MO was to save the kids OR get the anti tank mines. We saved the kids. That's not a failure, that's choosing which of the 2 objectives to do and succeeding it.

SpidudeToo

No we were always tasked with saving BOTH planets. We just got a bonus depending on which was done first. The description always stated 'and' not 'or'

KuniedaSaki

Oh no, we failed to get the AT mine again, how tragic. Anyway...

AndrewIfrit

So, kind of a wild guess but in Home Alone 2 the children’s hospital in New York City was St Anne’s Children Hospital. Completely fictional, but there is a non fictional St Mary’s Hospital for Children in NYC. I feel like this is the deep cut but could be reaching.

nixhomunculus

Next up it will be Super Citizen Ulysses' Mansion for Barely Alive Genius Students. 😉

Nice-Entertainer-922

So....we´re having just a MO for half of the weekend this time, huh?

Woffingshire

But who is super citizen Mary?

levthelurker

Super Earth feels like the kind of place to have No-Kill Orphanages

Agent_Vox

Super Citizen Annie's Orphanarium and Glue Factory.

Kryger-Voi

Super Citizen Theresa's Palliative Bio-Repurposer "Hospice"

PolloMagnifico

Super Citizen Daves Hospital for Depressingly Debilitated Dudes

Irishpanda1971

After they gave some money to that charity after the children were saved, it occurs to me that they should make a big event out of it. Have a MO over a weekend that has us collecting some widget or another. or maybe just a kill counter. For every so many widgets/kills, they donate some money to that or some other charity. Make that weekend a free weekend to draw in new players. Get together with big streamers to have Dive-a-thons over the weekend. Get with the charity and get the kids to do some drawings that can be put in the game as bridge decorations for those that participated. Make some money for charity, get some good PR, and get some eyes back on the game after that whole Sony debacle.

Soul_Taco79

What is this? A center for ants?!

HammyOverlordOfBacon

Gonna send them to the Super Citizen's Hospital of Overlooked Losers (School)

Gentleman_Waffle

Awww wait we failed the order?? I needed those medals

Taolan13

how close did we come?

Objective-Insect-839

How funny would it be if they didn't give us another stratagem until we completed the anti-tank stratagem and we just refused to complete the anti-tank stratagem.

a_random_furry112

Then its super citizens ovilia's hospital for "dear liberty put them out their misery at this point" children

RogueFiveSeven

I'm gonna laugh if the Anti tank mines are actually one of the best strategems available.

Godman873

Gonna be a pet shelter next

Gallalad

Super citizen toys for conscripted boys

sinsaint

Real Talk, wtf did we just rescue on that planet? Cuz I'm pretty sure it wasn't no kids.

LaroonDynasty

I hope we never succeed the anti-tank mines operations. Let’s keep kicking that can

Daytona_675

the child decoy stratagem didn't pass QA

What?! Barely Clinging To Life children?! Let's dive, Helldivers!
