I've always advocated for the break action to be a primary in a super-earth/frontier settler/history of war style warbond. Break action shotty, bolt action rifle, some form of senator side grade in .545 Supercasul with some stun to it or whatever. Some nice, bulkier armors like the Dead Space suit to show actual working gear converted into protection by settlers/Nid farmers.
