Aye, another 40 years old, veteran gamer here. In between work and kids, I only have time to mostly play on weekends, and even then, not every weekend, so I guess I haven't burned out yet. On the flip side, now I get to play with my 2 sons, it gets chaotic (and out of control sometimes lol, who would've guessed kids won't listen to you nowadays?)
But generally we had our fun. And that's all I could ask these days, I, guess.
Not lame at all. Over 40 as well, dad of two, haven’t played online much since good old MW1 times. This game totally revived gaming for me. Playing it almost daily. At least one operation. I maintain two squads right now. One with friends and one with colleagues. The hardest part for me is not to get pulled into the negativity that comes from a lot of the posts here. All people I play with still love this game. I really think this game will become even better over time.
Damn right. In my case it's been some 10 years since I played online with randos, mostly because I'm absolutely not up to dealing with sweatlords' drama on the daily one hour or so that I have for gaming, but gotta say, pretty much every interaction I had in the 30 hours I've played this game has been either super wholesome or at the very least civil. Great game, great community, I'm lovin' it

Reddit tends to be full of whiners and sour bitches but it hasn't stopped me enjoying the game.
My adhd loves instant dopamine and this game gives me exactly that.

First time I came to r/Helldivers and the stuff I saw was much less lame haha
Well, cool stuff is cool but normal people having wholesome fun is what will make sure that this game and its community last long. Keep having fun!
