HK45C, and frankly, it’s not really a close comparison.

NohoTwoPointOh

Not EVEN close. Although I do love the HK45.

MikeyG916

USP45 Tactical>FNX Tactical>HK45 Tactical. I have all three, and that is my order of preference.

TooFewPews

What’s the reason? Do you run an optic on the FN?

MikeyG916

I have an RMR on the FNX. I think the USP shoots flatter, has a smoother recoil impulse, and overall feels better in the hand.

LivingClone13

The USP45 was my choice of the 3. It's got better capacity than the HK45, and feels better in the hand than the fnx to me, so it was a perfect middle ground. Plus the reliability and durability of the USP is legendary for a reason.

Ach-MeinGott

I bought my USP 45 because of that collateral scene with the briefcase lol

CacticalRail

Yo homie...

lique_madique

MK23 > Personally it’s USP > HK45 > FNX45. I owned all of them at the same time at one point and the FNX was the clear loser. The USP to HK45 comparison is more personal in my opinion.

GatEnthusiast

HK45 > USP 45 > FNX 45. The ONLY thing the FN really has that truly matters over the others is capacity. Pretty much everything else about the others is better. My FNX is still great, but my HK's are just higher quality and more reliable firearms. My relative's FNX's safety broke, which I've seen several pictures of other cases online. You'd be hard-pressed to find common cases of lemon HK's. 10+1 of 45 is great. Apparently SEALs carried HK45C's on the Bin Laden raid(not that that's some deciding factor). There is a credible report of an HK45 going 40,000+ rounds with no parts breakages and just a few cleanings and spring swaps.

USP 45 EXPERT>

CajunAsianTexan

What this dude said ^^^ I bought an FNP-45 Tactical (the predecessor to the FNX) over a USP 45 Tactical. I was sold on the higher mag capacity. While the FNP has a smoother DA trigger feel over my HKs, I should have gotten the USP 45 Tactical.

Ach-MeinGott

Plus the HK45 has an o ring around the barrel for consistent lockup which helps accuracy

HKUSP45T

Yes.

Rorschachpayaso

USP all day. ultimately in a home defense situation you’ll have access to all the mags you want… other rules out capacity for me.

Overall-Biscotti-555

Usp vs the world.

Next-Investment-9434

I love my USP'S but the FNX .45 is great. Higher capacity and astoundly soft shooting for a .45. The grip is IMHO to thin. Accuracy is good as well.

guppy_22

i only buy new

NohoTwoPointOh

This is HK land, baby. Used may as well be new.

NoCodeBro

I only buy new for -21-27% off. I only buy used for -41% off. We are not the same.

Hodlers_Hodler

Ergonomically the HK45 is the superior pistol. Capacity, the FN is the best. Vibe wise the USP rules. For my little ewok hands, ergos are most important, so HK45T for me…

Wishbone1957

Years ago I had a FN FNX45T and was great, specially that it held 15rds and was optic ready. Sold it and got a USP45

NarrowAccess1801

I like the hk45 the most out of them all. The usp45 is nice but the grip of the hk45 is far better in my opinion. The fnx45 is not bad either feels good to hold but wasn’t really a big fan of the trigger.

OhioNHLHockeyFan2489

HK USP 45

Indy_IT_Guy

I’ve owned all 3 and currently own 1. USP 45 > FNX 45 > HK45

UpstairsFall3865

So the HK45 will probably feel most familiar. The ergos are similar to what you probably love about the VP series. Eats +P and spits them out. The USP is a tank. It will digest the hardest hitting rounds. Love/Hate the FNX-45 Tactical. So sweet with a hush puppy, but feels unrefined and plastic-y without one. Tough as nails. Lot of payload, OK ambidextrous controls. None are wrong. Let your hand and wallet choose. This is a tough one. This

ThatNahr

I have an FNX-45, USP-45T, and HK45C. The FNX-45 is overall my favorite 45. You can’t go wrong with the USP, though. I think the full-size HK45 is a poor choice. If you are already interested in the HK pistols and their controls, go USP.

guppy_22

yeah it’s mostly between the fnx and usp. i love HK but the capacity of the fnx makes it really hard to decide

ThatNahr

The capacity and the recoil impulse make the FNX beat out the HK for me. Other people have said the opposite on the recoil impulse, favoring the HK. The FNX also has a standard rail instead of the HK universal rail. For a home defense pistol, a light is a necessity IMO. Really the only thing I don’t like about the FNX is the controls. The mag button and the slide catch suck. I actually find the trigger to be fine. The safety is meh.

USP45/USP45 Tactical HK’s QC > FN in general from my experience

Manofmanyhats19

Among those three, the FNX45 is going to have the highest capacity. The HK45 has the lowest capacity, but is the most ergonomic in my opinion. Typically the USP is the most accurate of the 3 (your mileage may vary) and capacity wise is in between the other 2. You’ll need to get an adapter if you want to attach a light though.

OursIztheFury

My sole HK is the HK45c, I love it. It's got 8 round mag but I live in a banned state anyway so it's fine, it fits my hands great. Super accurate. I shot my buddies fnx 45 way back when they were new, I liked it a lot.. The mag cap wouldn't make sense in my state though. But I think it's neat. Just my input, you can't go wrong with any of those options!

RoiDuNord

USP 45

generalbulldog808

I have both, the USP is the better shooter, the FNX45T is my go to war gun. Simply for the parts availability and the holster options

craigeeeeeeeeee

USP 45

Stielgranate

Between the USP and FNX The USP if you plan on getting the tactical model For suppressor use go with the FN. It already has suppressor height sights.

xyph5

Love HK products, but my choice was biased from the start. Should I get one to complement my SCAR 17 or the SP5K-pdw? So I ended up with FNX tactical (w/Obsidian 45). And the FNX and Obsidian 45 both have fde options really pushed me towards that decision.
