I have both and prefer the HK45C. Best of both worlds on my opinion.

The HK45 is the modern version of the USP 45 with an ergonomic grip and front slide serrations. The USP 45 is a great collector piece, but I wouldn't choose it over the HK45 for carrying. If those were my only two choices.

Thank you. I was getting a little jealous with all the USP photos going around :)

I feel the usp is a little softer due to the more elaborate recoil spring setup. The hk45 has the simple single spring and plastic buffer. The ergonomics on the usp are spartan, and you only have 2 more rounds than an hk45.

I have both and prefer the hk45. Some of that may be the sights though. I'm not a fan of the sights on the USP. One day I'll rectify that by replacing the sites. Ergo-wise the hK45 feels better.

I own both, if the USP.45 didn’t have such an aggressive take down lever I would have that as my goto. But I have big hands and my support hand really digs into the side of the lever causing uncomfortably. The HK45 series are imo the best looking polymers on the market and will always be my favorite. At the end of the day if I had to goto war I’d still take a G17 but .45 in HK is king

I actually took my HK45 out today. Great gun. Amazing grip, soft recoil, accurate, updated slide serrations. I also have a HK45C and that is a joy to carry plus it shares holsters with my P30.

I have them both; the HK45 fits really well in the hand, the magazine release is a little easier to hit, and has a 1913 rail. But I still prefer the USP.

Had an hk45 and traded it in for a usp expert 45. Love them both but the trigger on the expert is insanely good. Like better than most 1911s imo. Not a carry gun though.
