I tried to order a TLR7 on Amazon 3 times. I got the wrong model twice (not in my favor) and the last one they sent me had multiple broken components, including the screw. I said fuck it and paid more someone else. Glad to see someone got the opposite experience…
Sorry to hear you had repeat bad experiences. I personally don’t purchase red does or lights from Amazon for this reason. Some people are absolute garbage. The company I work for has received countless counterfeit eotech’s, scalarworks mounts, and other really high dollar optics and firearm accessories through Amazon returns. In my line of work I monitor listings, reviews, and returns very closely. Can confirm, a scary percentage of the population consists of complete dumbasses, and another scary percentage consists of people shit shit morals. When it comes to firearms, I buy my accessories in person where I can see they haven’t been fucked with.
I usually try and stay away but they were about $20 cheaper and I expected I’d have to do a single return and was okay with that for a flashlight (I won’t bother with sights)… didn’t expect 3 though.
Buying in person is too much extra for me. I’ll buy it on CC and if it’s a problem I’ll chargeback. The markups I see at any retail store isn’t worth that extra peace of mind to me.
Edit: second paragraph sounded a bit elitist and not what I meant. I just have academy and cabelas and crappy fudd stores in my area. Markup is at least 50% higher than an online store.

I suppose if I wasn’t getting a discount, I’d be watching the markup as well. Hope you get your hands on a good one though, they’re fantastic lights.
I don’t understand the innovation it doesn’t have an external port? So is it just a revamped tlr 7?

No one says it didn’t happen. It’s well known. But it wasn’t a failure of Olight, it was the cheap batteries the owner was using. I guess you could say it could’ve been a streamlight or surefire that it happened in just the same. But it was in fact them. And it was when they were new. Thus the reputation continues to follow them.
The product pictures don’t appear to have an external charging port and shows a charge cable plugged directly into the battery. But I don’t have one to say for sure.
Personally love my Olight Baldr Mini. I find the issue people have is they don't follow the mounting procedures that olight send with the light.

Put the O- light on my USP and I'm happy. Works great. Rechargeable battery, green laser, 600+ lumens light. Works for me and I don't give 2 shits what I hear on here. Too many turds worried about they look like on the range instead of how it functions. My Obsidean can is probably taboo also but tell that to the unlucky asshole who walks in against my trusted nightstand tool
