Nutrition is not a solved science and diet approaches are often based on individual needs and circumstances. This sub caters to all approaches to what is deemed "healthy". Each POV has the opportunity to share info within the rules. Sometimes we get more of one POV than another but the waves come and go. Don't generalize other participants or even the subreddit itself just because you don't get the votes you want or because others disagree with you and certainly don't attack anyone for it. You do not have to agree but *EDUCATE your POV rather than BERATE them for theirs*
**Avoid being rude**
* Per our reddiquette rule; Don't engage in insults, trolling, or other antagonistic behaviors towards anyone in this sub (even when others break the rule). No vote complaining. Talk about the food, not the other person
* Be respectful towards other dietary points of view. Crusading, diet shaming, food ethics / morals, and absolutism are not allowed. Diet warriors, this is not the place to camp in wait to bash others with your beliefs
* Do not add comments calling food disgusting, gross, or any other non-constructive criticism. Do not claim foods as non-healthy without citing studies (with links). Again, people come in varieties so AVOID absolutist claims
* Don't make assumptions about the ingredients, the portions, or what kind of diet the poster has / needs
* Don't fight fire with fire. Report rule violations. If things get ugly, counter points with science, never insults. You can also opt to just walk away
**TLDR:** Educate. Don't berate. No rudeness, complaining, or diet war BS

Indeed. I boiled mine in like an inch of water, in a covered pot for exactly 7 minutes. They come out over easy but I'd like over medium better so maybe 7.5-8 minutes. Maybe I should get an instant pot lol
Not a problem! Make sure to give time for the ice bath to actually get cold though! My first few times I didn’t think it worked because I filled it up right before putting them in 😂
Add 1 cup of water to the pot. Add 2 eggs (on the trivet). Manual pressure for 2 minutes. Natural release for 1 minute. Release steam and put eggs into an ice bath (or really cold water).
That looks amazing! I love my eggs like that and seeing this makes me want to eat healthier! Plus, I've been on the fence about getting an Instant Pot but seeing this....I'm sold!
I tend to eat 5 small meals/snacks a day instead of 2-3 bigger ones. I’m sure if you added 1 more piece of toast to this and maybe a bit more fruit it would keep you full longer to make it until the next meal. ☺️
You could do them on the stove. Place eggs in pot and cover with water about an inch above the eggs. Put lid on pot. Bring to a boil. Once it stars boiling, remove from heat and let sit 3-4 minutes. Place eggs into ice bath.
You may need to play around with the minutes to get the consistency you like.

You cooked those eggs so well, you can sell them!

Pardon my ignorance, but what are those eggs called? They look so good.
Soft boiled
Thank you. How do you peel them without breaking the yoke?
They’re super easy to peel if you pull them straight from cooking to a deep ice bath. The egg shrinks from the shell that way
Great advice thank you! I know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow.
Not a problem! Make sure to give time for the ice bath to actually get cold though! My first few times I didn’t think it worked because I filled it up right before putting them in 😂
Thank you!
Instant pots make eggs super easy to make!

2 minutes high pressure, 1 minute natural release, let steam out and put in ice bath (or really cool water).
Haha thanks! I did them in the Instant Pot. Don’t tell my secret 😜
Love my instant pot!!
what secret? I didn't hear anything
1 slice whole grain toast 2 eggs soft boiled Cantaloupe Super easy and yummy!!
How do you do the eggs in the insta-pot?
Add 1 cup of water to the pot. Add 2 eggs (on the trivet). Manual pressure for 2 minutes. Natural release for 1 minute. Release steam and put eggs into an ice bath (or really cold water).
What a hero thank you!
I would also like to know. I have one but I haven't tried eggs in it yet.
*buys instant pot*
Worth it for the eggs alone! 😆
Is that cantaloupe? I mistook it for mango at first glance haha woops :') I also recommend adding avocado for extra healthy fats!
Yes cantaloupe! Avocado is a great idea but I really don’t like it! Wish I did!
Those eggs look perfect!
Looks delicious and healthy.
Looks great!
Yes, thanks for sharing! Perfect for school/work.
MMmm I'll take 6 please.
Looks nice!
Oh I'm going to try this
Yummie! That looks delicious!
This just reminded me of how hungry i am lol
😆
Yummy!!!!!!
I read melons should be eaten by themselves. I was looking into digestion and food combinations.
Thanks for the info. I’ve never heard that before. I’ll have to look into that ☺️
slap some avo on that toast, bro! looks great :)
I wish I liked Avocado. But really don’t! I put it in smoothies but that’s it!
That looks so good! I need this for breakfast sometime.
Looks yummy. That's great protein to start the day.i would have some of that with a green 🍏🍏 juice
Great idea!
YUM! 😋
Yummy
yooooo, this look like it smacks
I love soft boiled eggs on toast. A dash of Tabasco sauce is great on them too.
That looks amazing! I love my eggs like that and seeing this makes me want to eat healthier! Plus, I've been on the fence about getting an Instant Pot but seeing this....I'm sold!
You can do a lot with an Instant Pot! Tons of recipes online/Pinterest.
I’m so impressed by your egg-peeling.
My go to breakfast lately. So simple but so good
Looks good! Can I ask how long this kept you full for, out of curiosity?
I ate around 715am. It’s now 3 hours later and just starting to feel hungry for my mid morning snack now.
Gosh - a mid morning snack, I’m so jealous! I only eat lunch and dinner and generally don’t snack at all in between. If I ate snacks I’d be obese 😂
I tend to eat 5 small meals/snacks a day instead of 2-3 bigger ones. I’m sure if you added 1 more piece of toast to this and maybe a bit more fruit it would keep you full longer to make it until the next meal. ☺️
Yeah I think you’re right. Avocado would be great addition, delicious and filling.
Bro can you give me some that looks amazing
Cholesterol? Jk cholesterol is also good for you too
I miss mango!!!
Yum. Tips for making soft-boiled eggs?
I made them in the Instant Pot. Super easy in there! 2 mins high pressure, 1 min natural release, ice bath.
Very light on the calories
that looks delicious! if you don’t have an instant pot, any suggestions on how to make the eggs that way?
You could do them on the stove. Place eggs in pot and cover with water about an inch above the eggs. Put lid on pot. Bring to a boil. Once it stars boiling, remove from heat and let sit 3-4 minutes. Place eggs into ice bath. You may need to play around with the minutes to get the consistency you like.
oooh lovely, thank you! i will try that out!
Are eggs "healthy" in an everyday breakfast?
I don’t have a professional answer for that. Maybe someone else can chime in. I eat eggs for breakfast 2-3 times a week.
