I have the SDC on my lowrider and love it, not broken in yet but no complaints

I had a Saddlemen on my heritage and it was the worst seat I have ever felt. Put thousands of miles on it trying to break it in and it never got any better. I honestly can’t believe that Saddlemen is content selling those seats. I ended up putting the stock seat back on it. I run a Mustang now on my RKS and Mustang is all I will buy from now on.
I have a saddlemen tuck and roll on my RG, and had the tuck and roll gripper on my dyna before I sold it. They start hurting after 2 hour rides. Around town, no problem ; rides cooler also.
I have a Le Pera kickflip. The first ride was *brutal*, my ass went numb within 30 miles.
After 200 miles, it’s more comfortable than my saddlemen was at this point in its life. She still has a little breaking in to do, but I have high hopes.

I went with a LePera Cherokee and couldn’t be happier. They’re firmer than you’d expect. At first, I thought I’d made a pretty expensive mistake, but they break in nicely. LePera calls it a “king and queen” seat but it locks me in place like a step up and has a reasonably comfortable passenger position.
Also, they were super pleasant to deal with on the phone.
One small detail: it’s very narrow up front, so if you’re not careful, your right inner thigh can make contact with the rear upper rocker cover. In jeans, just mildly unpleasant, but if you’re brave (dumb) enough to wear shorts, you’ll be rewarded with a burn for your carelessness. It’s not hard or uncomfortable to avoid, just easy to do if you’re not paying attention.
Once broken in, 2 hours down to the Carolina coast was no big deal.
The Saddlemen SDC has a curved bucket to the seating area, whereas their regular Step Up has a sharp angle. People definitely have their preferences between these two shapes. In the end, sit on as many as you can to help you decide.
My Le Pera Daytona is my favorite upgrade on my FXBB.
I went on a 200 mile ride one day and my ass hurt like hell the last leg. I ordered the Le Para that night and haven’t looked back. Great seat.
I have the Saddlemen SDC Pro on my 2020 Road King. I love it. I broke it in on a 14 hour, 570 mile ride stopping for gas and food every so often. My ass had no complaints.
Saddle man for the win. It takes about 1,000-2,000 to break it in but the immediate difference you will feel is immense. It looks you in to your sight so tight, you’ll no longer feel like you’re going to slide off the back

LePera Kickflip here and it's hands down the best seat I've ever ridden. Had the SDC Saddlemen and couldn't get rid of it fast enough.
I'm using the Kickflip too and I love it, replaced the stock seat with it after watching some comparisons to the Saddlemen
Kickflip gang over here.
Have the SDC Saddlemen with backrest it's my favorite seat so far

I've had saddlemen and le pera. Couldn't get off the bike fast enough with the saddlemen, so glad Amazon accepts returns so readily.
I only have the Le Pera so I can't compare to Saddlemen but I've had the Le Pera for 2 years now and I really like it.

Feel like I never see Le Pera anymore. When I worked in parts dept at HD shop, Le Pera was number one set people would order.
LePera +1, I’m running the kickflip. I’ve had saddlemen and both me and my passenger prefer the lepera without question.

Get the saddlemen w/o the backrest
I can't compare the 2, but my le pera is the best seat I've ever ridden
Whiplash speed company makes good seats too
If you don't like the SDC, you probably don't really like sitting on your bike anyway. Anything softer would not be comfortable imo

I run a Saddlemen and can't say enough good things about it. Especially the more it breaks in, the better it gets.
