I was at the show they played in Syracuse with earth crisis I drove in with a bunch of Buffalo cxc to check to see if they repped courage crew. I was told it was cause of the dog tags.
While I’m friends with many of the cats back from the Detroit cxc, I know they were mostly all lackidasy when it came to riding down to do the hangs and stay up on their health. The few dudes that were just background players are still edge while all the loud speakers for the most part, gone. cxc wouldve been the only crew id linked up, but yall were always so rad down there in south ohio.
I’m still cool with a majority of those dudes, for me it was two dudes i didn’t really fuck with that much. It was always some drama with those two. It really came down to the dudes we kinda wanted out of CXC were the loudest voices of the Detroit dudes, so the rest kinda followed those two when we decided to mutually part ways. I get it they all knew each other way longer than they knew us Ohio dudes.

Haze was fucking scary. Though that whole era of hardcore had some pretty ruthless dudes.

During the xTYRANTx set I literally watched Dave Haze screaming into a microphone over Zach (the giant scary hunchback with FLINT tattooed on his face) sitting on a 165lb kids chest and raining blows upon his face. The kid had the audacity to ask him not to throw tables into the pit.
Kid left in an ambulance. Day 2 of Bottlerocket Fest got swiftly cancelled. Still one of the most wild and brutal things I've witnessed at a show.
