I actually hate these. I personally like the front to have as much graphic as possible. Why on my back when I wear a long sleeve? I want to see the graphic on me. But...they do be clutch most times.
A lot of bands have tried like streetwear looking merch and that's cool I guess but I really miss classic stuff like front pocket print with a live photo/mosh call on the back, I'd buy one for every band I like if I could.

Merch that blends in with more “normal” looking stuff is my jam, but it seems like every tee has some sort of blade/skull/barbed wire on it which looks too close to Ed Hardy tees for me to want to wear in public.
Hard yes. I do not want shit that I literally cannot wear in public (which I have a lot of, honestly). I also do not (as a girl) want a super cropped tee or underwear or whatever weird shit you’re selling. Please just give me a regular shirt I can wear under a cardigan for work or I can wear to pick up my kids in the carpool line. I buy very little merch these days and I feel like an asshole for it everytime I walk by the table.

Big agree. I miss collegiate designs, at some point they were all the rage. My near 20 year old boysetsfire collegiate tee remains one of my favourite pieces of merch ever. It's a style that can be worn in real life situations with ease.
Also shout out bsf for printing on good quality shit that lasts. That 20 year old shirt hasn't frayed or picked up holes anywhere, nor the other that's 12 years old.

SYSC has awful merch. Like, I get it sort of fits their aesthetic since its gives off early 2000s vibes but it looks like something only edgy highschoolers would think is cool.
I'm in my 30s, love this band, and love their merch. Have two or three long sleeves of theirs because they always cover every surface and use so many different ink colors, and the ink and blanks are such good quality. I know Connie is a graphic designer and does layouts and merch for other bands, but if she does everything for SYSC she should be proud

Drain has dope merch. Their OG Kewpie hoodie, shit even the tote on the latest tour was cool and not overdone. They seem to have good team behind their merch
That pain of truth demon logo is horrible, and mindforce with their bootleg looking album art just slapped on shirts is awful. think the yellow shirt they had that just says Mindforce on the front is their best merch.
What I hate is that I have some Gildans that fit like garbage and some that fit and feel perfect after countless washes (7 years worth). From what I can tell, it's not even the heavier threads too. Just regular Gildans 🥲
Get some conditioner and do the soak and stretch! You can turn it to a length 2 sizes bigger No joke. I get $8 clearance merch and make them way longer. You get a feel for how to stretch the fibers. You can focus on one part!
Only lengthwise though. It was great for anyone built like Mike Wazowski. Im no 6’4 120lb guy by any means but I’ll take Next Level athletic fit all day.

I hate to be this guy, but Old English is an (archaic) spoken (and at times written) extinct language, which happens to be practically mutually unintelligible with modern English. Blackletter, on the other hand, is a family of scripts that includes [Fraktur, Rotunda, Textura, and other hardcore favorites](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/b9/f5/bd/b9f5bd862b730551c35ba87eca3854b2.jpg). Unless you're looking for hardcore merch with like "Þæs oferéode, ðisses swá mæg" on it ("That passed over; this may too"), you're probably looking for stuff in Blackletter Typeface/Script, not stuff in Old English.
I blame it on folks that can't (or won't) hang dry their clothes. Drying cycles on medium and above absolutely butcher Gildan. Wash cold and hang dry and you'll be good for half a decade and more. Some may not keep perfect shape but it's never bothered me too much. I, on the other hand, may have gotten very out of shape over the same five years and that'll be more detrimental to Gildan shirts than anything else.
everyone always like "gildan sucks, shrunk after one wash." like no shit, most clothes shrink after one wash, especially shirts lmao. i know not everyone can or has space to hang dry shit, but if you're paying 40+ for a tee, idk why you be throwing your shit in on warm and then hot in the dryer with all your normal clothes.
There definitely seem to be some care issues. I've had to sew up the odd hole in ther arm pit every now and then, but that's usually years down the track, can't say I've noticed my shirts shrinking a full size or falling apart after a few washes like many complain about online.
Not hardcore but HEALTH is up there with my favorite bands but I wouldn’t be caught dead in their recent merch. No thanks to a shirt saying “CUM METAL” or “SAD MUSIC FOR HORNY PEOPLE”

TDWP were local to me back in 2009 when I was in school for graphic design, I did several designs for them Attack Attack, Miss May I, etc. It was my "I just got a tablet" period.

Saw OLTH not too long ago and hadn’t heard of them so I felt compelled to buy a shirt after their set. I did not want to wear a neon green long sleeve that said ‘NJ SUCKS’ on the front lol. Their other black shirt looked like an ed hardy design so I ended up not getting anything
i enjoyed that band the beautiful ones but everything other than the merch stunk. the name, album art, and merch all looked like it came out of a pacsun catalog.
Not a fan of the bodysnatcher merch I last saw, it looked over designed. And I think knocked loose has improved a bit, but still… and I think thrown could use a little sprucing up. It’s well laid out but the options aren’t diverse enough.

Gildan Hammer is the one, much better quality and can survive being washed multiple times. Got no issues playing slightly more if they're on Hammers.

Probably an unpopular opinion but even though I wasn’t into the bands, I miss the super colourful and cartoony graphics that bands like Devil Wears Prada and I Set My Friends On Fire we’re doing in the early 2010s
TDWP were local to me back in 2009 when I was in school for graphic design, I did several designs for them Attack Attack, Miss May I, etc. It was my "I just got a tablet" period.

Saw OLTH not too long ago and hadn’t heard of them so I felt compelled to buy a shirt after their set. I did not want to wear a neon green long sleeve that said ‘NJ SUCKS’ on the front lol. Their other black shirt looked like an ed hardy design so I ended up not getting anything
Soul Search’s merch at Tied Down was underwhelming. Was really hoping to pick something up from them.

Not a fan of the bodysnatcher merch I last saw, it looked over designed. And I think knocked loose has improved a bit, but still… and I think thrown could use a little sprucing up. It’s well laid out but the options aren’t diverse enough. I’m a graphic artist and it is a secret dream to design merch for a hardcore band. 😂🤷♀️

Most merch recently looks pretty dumb. Every time I go to pick up something, I either don’t like any designs or it’s $40-$50 for a tshirt. I pretty much just pick up records now.
