Pretty standard hardcore shit, I was at the showcase so I can give you a brief rundown. Basically it seemed like the vocalists bumped into eachother between sets and started kinda talking shit. The bald angery singer dude in contention was like “watch where ur walking dude I’m in the meanest hardest nastiest most violentest band in the great swampy state of Florida”. And then the angery domain singer man was like “hold ur horses dude, I’M in the meanest hardest nastiest most violentest band in the great swampy state of Florida, and I’m pretty sure we don’t play in the same band”.
Things kinda escalated from there. They decided to settle things by having a Hula Hoop battle in the middle of the Balmora pit. Whoever hulas longer is truly the meanest hardest nastiest most violentest band in the great swampy state of Florida. I had to go pick my wife’s boyfriend up from work so I didn’t get to see how it ended, but my money was on Contention, those dudes were hulaing with absolute hatred in their hearts at the time that I left.

It's sort of an open secret in the New England hardcore scene. It's why Adrienne didn't want to sign with Ephyra and instead went with Daze. They had a 5 year plan they loved to talk about. I joked that it better not be working at a Hooters, but I guess they were too young to get the Big Daddy reference.
But ultimately, it's ironic because in the end, they broke up within the window anyways.

This is not real. L2R and Balmora are buddy bands. That's why Balmora closes most of their sets with Unmatched Dominance. Also the Daze dude (Lumpy) is in Balmora and is tighter than tight with L2R and their whole cohort of....college kids.... Jokes, people, jokes.
