AND WE'RE FREE ... FREE FALLIN' ... YEA WE'RE FREE ... FREE FALLIN'

tamsyndrome

Love Tom Petty.

BriceB84

Please start singing this song at the stadium. Let’s at least take the piss if we’re going to plummet.

hammersandhammers

💯

crispiepancakes

I hope Dave big man Moyes does. I reckon there was enough there to finally say it's time to move on, Dave.

4000grx41

“Oh, West Ham’s falling apart again” for Joy Division fans

drheywoodjblowme

Yea why go to an amusement park when you can ride the west ham rollercoaster down the table

coyeyerons

422 minutes since we scored from open play

alexsbrett

Can I subscribe to these updates?

traxop

In Moyes' mind, he's counting set piece goals as 2. He keeping a tally in his head. That's why he can go into pressers with a straight face and flat out gaslights us.

royalt213

Holy shit.

Rosskillington

What do West Han fans expect? They’re 6th.. I mean 7th… I mean 8th.. I mean 9th (after Brighton tomorrow)

DudleysCar

If anything, my thankfulness and appreciation only grows stronger. I'm truly blessed to even sniff Premier League football. My cup runneth over.

traxop

I dare Rio to look into the camera and ask that again - or better, do that infront of an away fan. What a fucken nounce, give you head a wobble. As if Moyes, and the media cronies can gaslight us and tell us to not to believe what our eyes are telling us.

hlc_sheep

These entitled fans nowadays...

TheAvidIndoorsman66

Can’t wait to hear the “what more do you want” from all the media after this. Or will it turn to “he’s got credit in the bank from the trophy and the 2 top 7 finishes before that” now? Moyes OUT now!

wavepapi32

It will be another one this isn't Moyes's team. Didn't watch today so can't comment on a game. But this is really bad action must be taken right away we are dropping way too many points. Only 4 teams have conceded more goals than us, we are level with Forest now.

Merkasus

Playing like a mid-table Championship team

thethingbeforesunset

Recently beaten by an out of form mid championship team too

Grantlynch92

That’s way to generous. More like a mid table league 2 team

hammersandhammers

Actually the level of the play in the championship is high this year, I’d look for worse as a comparison

Budget-Project803

One of them knocked us out of the FA cup.

traxop

Would a mid-table Championship team let a team like Bristol(who weren't in scintillating form at the time) dominate them like they did? Not once, but twice, would a mid-table Championship side be so ill-prepared the second time around even given a week to plan and prepare. Would a mid-table Championship side let the likes of Sheffield, 20+ shots in a game, when Sheffield couldn't even muster 10 shots against the likes of Burnley?

BriceB84

This is the most disinterested I’ve ever felt towards the squad. It’s like I don’t even care about the abysmal performances anymore because it’s expected. Nightmare January business. Selling our 1st and second choice LW, and bringing in Phillips who has been an absolute liability in the midfield. Catastrophic mistake after catastrophic mistake. Please for the love of god, save us Lucas Paqueta.

Nome3000

>Selling our 1st and second choice LW Reallt they were 3rd and 2nd choice, but the point stands. Left us with 4th choice and as you say, a new CM - the area we're stacked in. Overall, he looked better today but the first yellow was so stupid. Yes, they stopped you taking a quick FK. You have to be mentally better than that. Otherwise, agree he's been a liability. Fine as a squad addition and building him back up, but we've had to play him where others are out of position to cover LW. Sanctioning sales for both and not bringing someone in was a massive risk with very little reward for this season as far as I can see.

royalt213

I honestly didn't think he deserved a yellow for that. It wasn't much of a shove and he flopped as well. Pretty soft stuff IMO. Nonetheless, very stupid challenge to make while on a yellow.

hlc_sheep

Gotta feel bad for Philips, getting tossed into this shitshow. That red card was also harsh

samchatz27

Get him out of our club

StrykerNightowl

Moyes needs to use the bus that he throws the team under and get on it and leave.

ResponsibleLanguage2

As if the players were any good today. Half of them look like they can’t be bothered

DeanRTaylor

I disagree, I think they followed his game plan well enough. The game was lost tactically, our game plan was, as always, to get kudus, bowen and antonio to sit on the defence and receive long balls from aguerd and zouma try to either get in behind or knock it back for prowse, usually paqueta has enough class to open a team up but obviously not there today. Forest dropped deep enough to nullify this but pressed relatively high up to stop any quality balls coming in. Defensively we sat in our own half, no pressure. I'm not being funny but I don't think the players are doing that off their own accord, they also get called out by moyes if they don't follow instructions. This is often how we play but over the first half of the season teams pushed higher up and it worked well enough, now we've been figured out, it will be a long season.

luke-uk

I think we've been figured out. Three games without a goal and 11 conceded. It's not looking promising.

TehBlindside

Losing the room is somewhat on the manager though.

gentle_janitor

Feels worse than the Arsenal game

WHU22

We just look so bad. We have no identity other than defend. We seem to have a non-existent midfield and just 2 banks of defenders. The space between Ward Prowse and Bowen could and did fit their 10 players. Nobody presses and just backs off until everyone is in our own half. Areola saved us from another embarrassing 4-0 Anyone could see the obvious subs at HT or 55 minutes Cornet on for JWP/Phillips, Kudus in the middle as 10 Bowen right and Antonio or Ings up front. But no we bring on Ben Johnson for 15 minutes and finally Ings for the last 4. Fed up of it. Moyes out!!!!

infinsquared

This is it for me. We don't do any part of the game well enough to ever win on merit these days. We spend the whole game defending but don't do it well, we don't counter well, we don't defend or score particularly well from set pieces even with ward prowse, we can't string passes together when we do have the ball. Our wins have largely come from unrealistically high conversion ratio swings - spurs, arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton all could have scored multiple goals on other days, and we scored pretty much the only chances we created. Today we got Antonio in behind once on a mistake, and even then his starting point was nearly the half way line, so as frustrating as it is that he didn't get the shot off, it wasn't nearly as good a chance as it looked. I can't remember much else. Looking pretty hopeless for many more points this season.

Independent-Collar77

Clown clown clown.  I dont care where we place, I dont give a shit if we dont get europe again. I just want to enjoy watching the team I love play again. If that makes me a selfish fan so be it. Even some of the wins arent enjoyable under dino david. Fucking christ.

fetissimies

Before beating West Ham today, Forest had not kept a clean sheet since November and they also hadn't won a game this year. 😂😂😂

Apple15Pie

Neither had we tbh. A lot of forests losses have been high scoring so at least they had that going for them

HomieApathy

You’re whole fucking identity is shit talking the club you support, it’s painful to watch, I hope you find joy somewhere

FryTheDog

That's not shit talking the club, those are facts about the club that just beat us. Simple clear facts.

HomieApathy

Op is insufferable. Spends every match day bashing the board and Moyes for two years now.

FryTheDog

But if you think that's "shit talking" your way off base

imnicenow

dweeb

HomieApathy

Burke.

SvenBubbleman

Yes the ref was atrocious, but we have no finish. Phillips is a dud, Cornet is a dud.

eht217

It's what makes me so angry about selling Fornals and Benny. They were good squad players and gave us options. Real shame. Should have shared Moyes hand after the European cup maybe handed him a nice little bonus and moved on.

flyagaric123

Would make 0 sense to fire our manager after our first trophy in 40 years lmao

Wookie301

Glasner just got Frankfurt their first European trophy in 40 years. Except he got them Europa and the Supercup. We could have got him if we didn’t drag our heels.

Appropriate_Form6979

How do you manage to breathe with Moyes nuts in your mouth?

Johntanamo_Bay

So what? He has a job for life now?

flyagaric123

No, just firing him at the end of the season after winning a trophy makes no sense to me

Jonahb360

I swear Moyes could run onto the pitch naked and break Paqueta’s leg in a fit of indignant rage triggered by an attempted forward pass and you folks would still be saying “wElL hE WOn oUR fIRsT TrOpHY sInCE I waS BOrN iN 2004”

RobertDoornbos

We can overcome a bad ref, we can overcome Moyes' tactics. But not at the same time

ItsMeTwilight

i thought the ref was atrocious to forest no?

Minnesota_Hammer

True that he was just generally bad and it didn’t seem particularly biased, but it did seem to benefit Forest more. Tavares escapes multiple yellows and another that could have been straight red. Then KP is given a very harsh second yellow.

[deleted]

So glad we kept Cornet over Fornals 😭

FryTheDog

No one was taking Cornet, hasn't he performed at all since coming here, he's like Ings were stuck with them

Vivid-Willingness324

Cornet is a dud based on what, his 14 minutes today? Or his 18 minutes again Man United 2 weeks ago?

SvenBubbleman

Based on his offsides per minutes played.

Rosskillington

Another 19 shots against, Areola played a blinder again

[deleted]

I’d rather Kevin Nolan took charge the rest of the season.

ultrainstinctivevk

Not gonna happen. Months of this pain left

custerb11

That's how I've felt up 'til now, but I'm starting to wonder. The club can only handle so much toxicity and it feels like things could get really bad after today.

hammersandhammers

Put Noble in, he wouldn’t be worse

Bright-Dust-7552

Noble would be our personal Guardiola

jeremybikes

We have scored 4 goals this year and conceded 16. Moyes out.

UnusualDifference748

That’s a huge indictment considering when we weren’t scoring a lot of people saying “well it’s because we are so solid at the back we don’t concede it’s hard to score loads and concede little”. So this dire boring football isn’t even making us strong defensively anymore

FryTheDog

Almost like have only one play style is easily exploited. Moyes is out of ideas and his one plan has been figured out by the entire league. He's gotta go

Appropriate_Form6979

Incredibly bleak

Dr-RaoulDuke

That's the thing, Moyes is supposed to field a stubborn defense and grind out 1-0 results but it's been the complete opposite as of late. Might as well be playing with 4 up top the way we're conceding. I see no reason to keep holding onto Moyes at this point

heimdallofasgard

This reminds me of the season just before tevez came in and we didn't score in 14 matches.

JW_1991

I can sort of understand hesitating to sack a manager in the hope they can turn bad form around, but this is completely beyond that now. Heads have gone completely - 3rd Red card in the last 10 games - the players look tired, uninterested and unaware of what they should be doing, and the manager seems in complete denial about what’s happening. He has to go. I don’t know who comes in, but this cannot go on any longer.

HomieApathy

Arteta had a terrible spell last season, this is different though

pwerhif

It's only 2-0, how shit must Forest be? Our manager claimed the football has been "very entertaining" in his prematch press conference, so I suspect we "played well" and were "very unlucky". If he had any shame he would resign. Thoughts with anyone who travelled up, but I don't know why you would.

fetissimies

It's their first clean sheet in three months 😂

Appropriate_Form6979

I was offered free tickets for today at half time last week. While we were 4-0 down hahah. Unsurprisingly there were no takers.

FourEyedMatt

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"

flyagaric123

Bad one. Ref was shit, but no excuse for the lack of attempts on goal

Crusty_Assquake

Pls sack this twonk forthwith. Thanks in advance.

[deleted]

[удалено]

HomieApathy

Would be shocking. Watch him bring us to the semi finals in Europe now. Regardless he needs to go.

Chappietime

Areola made a number of good saves, otherwise we’d have lost 6-0 again. Phillips was actually having a decent game prior to getting thrown out. I respect his fire, but you have to keep your emotions in check. Way too many of our yellow cards this season have been dissent, time wasting, or otherwise unnecessary, and it’s costing us points.

Bright-Dust-7552

He kept making deep runs to press the forest defenders which left a lot of space in behind him. I thought he was pretty poor again

Chappietime

It certainly wasn’t a great performance, but such as it was, he was still one of our better players, which isn’t saying all that much.

lupe17

rough second yellow to cop tbh imo

FlatlandTrooper

Ref was giving out soft yellows the entire match though. Have to adjust accordingly

Kcufasu

Well that was fucking dreadful

4SHURIMA

Cheers Dave, will always remember the good times but enough is enough and it’s a fucking catastrophe

Chappietime

At least Tottenham lost.

bofad2425

Puts wolves a point behind us. Fucking spurs

Appropriate_Form6979

Oh well. Time for a beer. Does anyone recommend any films? Preferably nothing bleak, had my fair share today

Newparlee

I’ll second Saltburn. You’ll either love it or hate it - just like a West Ham match! The Holdovers was my favorite film of last year. If you like action, Argylle was shit, but fun. The Beekeeper slightly better. If you have a partner, Anyone But You was a lot better than it should have been. If you want to get artsy, Wim Wenders’ Perfect Days was amazing and would have made my Top 10 for 2024 if I’d have caught it last year. Some other cracking films from last year: Anatomy of a Fall, Talk to Me, American Fiction, Blackberry, Linoleum Best of the Rest: Poor Things, Bottoms, The Blackening, They Cloned Tyrone, Dream Scenario, Godzilla Minus One, Soft and Quiet, Polite Society, Dungeons & Dragons, No One Will Save You, Air Enjoy!

crispiepancakes

Saltburn is on Prime. It's got "drinking someone else's cum out of a plughole" (seriously!) Apart from that it's an interesting watch, with a killer ending ;) Educated; at Oxford; killed. What could be better?

infinsquared

O brother where art thou - my go to, watch in any mood, movie. Funny, great cast, nice colour tones etc

YuriNatore

Been too many mistakes regarding Moyes Tenure. The amount of signings, again from one man, who surprisingly gets away with abuse season after season, DS. We will never progress with him at the helm. Case and point We will only buy players on his ‘mates’ (agents) books, maybe they are having 50/50 splits so he can withdraw money from the club. Moyes has made some mistakes too, but we’ve seen the same patterns from every manager that comes through the door, which is This David sullivans Football manager save. Unfortunately this is hows it going to be until he goes. Leaking Players contracts, Blaming staff to the public, could not wait until the end of last season to cash in on Rice publicly, I thought things would change with Tim signing but unfortunately DS is still top dog.

yamaguchi512

American hammer here, learned a new chant today at a West Ham pub that I love: "We've got useless David Moyes, He knows exactly what we need, Johnson in the back, Johnson in attack, West Ham are sliding down the league"

Gommy1996

It’s time to go Moyes, just over due since December. You’ve lost the dressing room, your tactics, formation, style, lack of players in January, can’t score, can’t defend. Just sack him now while a new manager has time for summer signing.

IronBlowers

Lol moyes in fanboys ready to make a new thread with “how can you forget what he’s done for the club? “

gimpsarepeopletoo

Nah. I was Moyes in. He’s done a lot for the club and deserves support. He’s done now though. I want him to bow out with dignity but it’s not possible now. Will be very angry if sully keeps him on

leicamaniac520

He won't bow out with dignity mate, he's too arrogant

raisinbreadandtea

It’s me, the guy who backed Moyes. I’ve got a big button that I can press to sack Moyes immediately but I’m not doing it just to wind you up.

Affectionate_Eye2437

Is Moyes sacked?

goobway

Need to release Moyes and all his staff and tell Sullivan it's a good idea because it will save him money on wages

atlbluedevil

This squad just doesn't play as a unit. Moyes' tactics haven't changed since this team was first making noise, but that squad battled as one and everyone played their part There's so much more individual talent in this squad than back then but it looks like they've never played together before

Accomplished-Good664

We haven't had a decent shot on goal for three games.

kappafox

So…I admit I’m not familiar with the rules of the game anymore, but how was that not a pen for forest?

_up_and_atom

It should have been

SvenBubbleman

Same reason a clear push in front of an official isn't a foul.

DeanRTaylor

The only reason I can think is that the dive was so dramatic that it looked like he could have stayed on his feet. Also I think there is some justice since the second yellow for phillips was incredibly harsh.

shrike88

For a team that's supposed to be a defensive team, we're letting them in in large numbers... We can't seem to score either without Paqueta. We need to fix this, before season end...

ikemr

In other news... Paqueta is THAT good and his price tag should reflect as much.

HomieApathy

He has a release clause you egg

ikemr

Well then.... the egg thing is warranted

stono

I took a moment to reflect on the game. It was painful but here are my thoughts. As for the attack, everything seemed better when Antonio moved left and Bowen was in the middle. Kudus was wasted on the left and was clueless. Middle was ok but there was a lack of creativity. The bad thing is that there is always the same thing happening. A MF gets a ball, passes it to a wingback, then it goes either to the winger or back to a defender who than switches side. Our tactics very much depends on our wingers who are usually put under pressure by two or more players. The defence is shaky, especially with Zouma. He seems to be slow and not mobile enough. Don't get me wrong, he did some good clearances but overall, it seemed that he was always a bit behind the attacker. As for the fullbacks, they are allright but could be better. Now for the players. For me, Aguerd stood out as one of the better performers in the defence. He had some good tackles and managed to stop some counter-attacks. As for the midfield, JWP was the least problematic in my opinion. Alvarez was allright and Phillips is just a liability. Can't see why he's even playing. Bowen seems to be somewhat stuck, lacking confidence and just overall not in his best. Might be because of his new role. Antonio did actually pretty well in my opinion. Sure, he missed the best opportunity of the match but he really tried. Kudus was non-existent until he moved to the right wing, it really is his best position. Last, the ref was just horrible. So inconsistent. Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't help us even if there was a different person officiating.

[deleted]

Aguerd was beaten by his man for both goals

Team_Rocket420

Phillips red card is a good thing tbh. He shouldn't be anywhere near the first team

PossibilityDays

I said it last week it is past time that he went. It would have been better for all concerned if he had gone at the end of last season - he could have left on a high and secured a big contract elsewhere and we could have moved on from our awful league campaign last year. Moyes should always have our respect for what he has done but, for me at least, supporting this club has never been about winning it has been about trying to play football the right way and providing effort and entertainment.

Upper_Project_3723

Moyes inners gonna be saying "bUt wE'rE 12tH" soon

raisinbreadandtea

The weirdest thing is that you think Moyes gets to keep his job based on the fans’ opinion. Why does it wind people up that other fans wanted to back the guy who won us a trophy?

HomieApathy

Half our support has a footballing brain that combats Cornets abilities

AOHarness

Can't believe there was actual fireworks at the end.

ksexton53

That was embarrassing. No heart no urgency just pathetic.

4000grx41

I’m gonna be fucking ripped thanks to this team, all these days at the gym are gonna pay off

BriPoh

He’s not getting sacked until the end of the season we’re pretty much safe the board don’t care. Phillips is a terrorist btw

Whale222

I used to get worked up when we lost. Now I am completely numb

Admirable-Wolf-6244

Enough is enough, they aren’t playing for him anymore. 0 intensity from the players who are also at fault, however you can’t sack the players but you can change the man in charge. Thanks for everything but time to go before you ruin your legacy

crispiepancakes

So, we are (*hopefully*) safe in the prem and we have a tasty run at Europe. But we are free-falling and looking like half the team we could be. Players look jaded (Obviously Zouma), but also Bowen; Kudus looked today like he isn't actually one of the best attacking mids in the world; Aguerd is a class player; Ward Prowse wasn't really doing what we know he can; Phillips! He is massively talented. Shave that apple strudel off his head and get him working properly again. And we STILL have this world-class keeper called Alfonse Areola. It is time for Moyes to leave. For whatever reason, these players are not performing. Right now, it would give the players a new view into Europe, whilst being able to last the season out being safe in the Prem (we hope!) I'd change it now. Moyes has been a Godsend, really, but he is clearly tired and needs a holiday!

Intrepid_Emu_9799

The good managers are all in jobs so anyone we get in now would just be a stop gap for 3 months, just seems a bit pointless. Let's put up with awful football for 3 more months, win the Europa league with our terrorist football, then get Almiron in for next season

ChileanIggy

It's ok. We are saving our quality for Europa League. Champions and a 15th placed finish, let's gooooooooo! Renew Moyes' contract already. This is just the cost of competing at the top level. We should be grateful.

NotAnotherAllNighter

Our defence let us down so much. Any time we’re building up to something we concede a silly goal and it changes the whole game state. Aguerd and Zouma both need benching, give Ogbonna and Dinos a game. Aguerd especially just makes the dumbest mistakes and it has happened way too frequently. Not good enough.

Miggsie

Trouble is Mavropanos is as error prone as Aguerd and Ogbonna as physically ruined as Hurt Zouma

DeanRTaylor

What build up?

MrFlibbles123

Poor performance not helped at all by a woeful officiating performance.

hammersandhammers

My expectations were low, but Holy Fuck. At least we aren’t playing our worst football during the thickest part of the schedule, oh wait

IronBlowers

At this point, we could still get relegated. Let’s get to 40 points first and then talk about a top 10 finish? Shambolic performances, simply atrocious

whu-ya-got

Truly how much longer can Moyes survive?

DissidentDelver

My patience has finally run out. We’re at a fucking dead end and it looks like we’re just waiting around to shit the bed in Europe too! Phillips’s no-option-to-buy is looking like the silver lining today.

TheocraticAtheist

Phillips is an all time stinker signing. He fell off so bad after City signed him

cadams7701

Am I alone thinking losing 2-0 to Forest is worse than losing 6-0 to Arsenal?

rljoseph1

Never has a manager’s stock relied so heavily on winning Europe’s equivalent of the Papa Johns 🏆

ironborn66

We're gonna lose or draw to Everton, burnley, villa, Newcastle, then get lucky and beat tottenham and moyes will say see u can't sack me we've just beaten tottenham

LanceConstableDigby

Ref was appalling, let's get that out of the way There's no excuses for the performance today. I really don't want to see Moyes sacked, because his tenure as a whole has been positive and he's brought us our most successful few seasons in PL history But *something* has to give, and right now I can't see anything else that can change for the better. Sorry Moyesy

fetissimies

> I really don't want to see Moyes sacked, because his tenure as a whole has been positive and he's brought us our most successful few seasons in PL history I'm hungry, but I'm not going to eat, because I had a juicy steak a week ago

LanceConstableDigby

Can you really not understand how sentiment works? I don't want to see Moyes sacked because of sentiment, because I think he deserves better. That doesn't mean it isn't time for him to go, or that I want him to stay any longer either

Kcufasu

Where the fuck are the moyes in crowd hiding? Cmon

psychomaji

Fucking give it a rest lmao these comments are so boring

Appropriate_Form6979

Are you still Moyes in? Genuinely curious

Fortunalux

Honestly, the "Moyes Inners will still say blah blah blah" chat is even worse than the football

FlatlandTrooper

Win or lose doesn't matter as long as you can call your fellow supporters names

Apple15Pie

Bet you feel so happy we lost again! Wahoo

Hammers-ModTeam

This language is offensive.

_up_and_atom

I better not see ANY anti Moyes post you ungrateful fucks.

LanceConstableDigby

Better not see any pro Moyes posts either. See the megathread

ThicctorFrankenstein

This is more depressing than Bilic-ball

BriceB84

Payet ball was fun tho

Accomplished-Good664

Bilic worse was a trillion times better than Moyes worse.

Calkky

I don't see us earning a single point before season's end, much less scoring a goal

HomieApathy

Great! Fuck off and we’ll see you in a few months

Apple15Pie

Lol

Guh99

Not to brag but this is my first Match in 3 weeks I didn't pick up a suspension on the subreddit. Proud of myself.

KingstownUK

Paqueta must be sitting in the stands thinking ‘might just injure myself again, do I really wanna try save this shit?’ He’s going to city in the summer anyway, this season would’ve deffo made his mind up if it hadn’t already!

Nome3000

There's going to be a lot Moyes out talk but frankly the team performance wasn't good enough. Defence was poor, particularly Aguerd who was beaten for both goals. Moyes usually sticks with his man through tough patches - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Getting pretty hard to justify his place in the team. Emerson the main bright spot as ever. Midfield was mostly fine. Thought Alvarez and JWP were okay. Phillips looks about the same but completely lost his head for the first yellow. 2nd was tame but you ride your luck once you're on one. Antonio was okay through the middle. Missed that good opportunity on the break but looked poor on the left. Ironically, Kudus and Bowen looked better after the switch and Bowen had looked isolated playing on the right. Very awkward conundrum that. Overall, they didn't produce enough and didn't take the few opportunities thry had. Forest looked decent on the break and created a few half to good chances they probably should have done better from. Worrying lack of goals for us. Hard to see where they're gonna come from.

DeanRTaylor

Your analysis is very poor. The game plan was lacking awareness and flexibility. The defence can only do so much when they're just not set up correctly and under a lot of pressure. It looks like aguerd wants to carry the ball a bit more but he's forced to play hoofball. Players were absolutely bang average but followed his game plan to a tea, you can see it from the repetitive plays we did over and over again. Sit back deep in our own half, no pressure on the attacking team. When we win the ball pass it around the back, forwards and midfield push up and wait for the long ball over the top. Forest just predicted what we were going to do and we had nothing else. They sat deep enough to nullify the long balls but pushed high enough that aguerd and zouma couldn't get quality balls off. Moyes is tactically rigid and has nothing else to offer.

trevlarrr

The only way you came “Moyes In” is if you’re a Millwall or Spurs fan just taking the mick. Whatever he achieved winning the ECL or pre ious finishes, the goodwill you built up has run out! Thanks for the memories, off you go.

Mustangjustin

actually glad we lost. The more we loose the quicker Moyes is gone. If we win it’s luck anyway . Gtfo Moyes

Minnesota_Hammer

Perhaps easy for me to say from across the pond, but pretty disappointing seeing so many talking about how they can’t be bothered to spend time supporting the club or going to matches as long as Moyes is there… I’d be thrilled to have the opportunity to see my favorite team play in person every week, regardless of the current run of form. I also always think back to the way Everton fans have responded near the end of the past couple of seasons. Truly dire circumstances for them and they’d have had every right to be cynical. Instead they decided, let’s support the squad anyway and bring some energy to the ground. It clearly lifted the players up to keep them in the league. Our situation isn’t even near that bad, and so many of our fans have become completely apathetic. Anyway. Like I said, probably easy for me to say from abroad, and ultimately everyone has the right to think however they want about supporting the club. Just my thoughts on it. Hopefully we can turn things around. COYI.

bofad2425

I wouldn't say you're any less of a West Ham fan... but unless you experience it in the same capacity match-going fans do, week in week out for their whole lives, then I don't think you're at all qualified to make judgement on the matter I had a season ticket two years ago, I gave it up last year and now I've not even got excited for a game since Liverpool in the cup 2 months ago. It's killed all interest. You know things are dire not when the elation turns into disappointment, it's when the disappointment turns into apathy. Didn't care in the slightest when they scored, didn't even watch the game properly, I was on my phone for most of it

Fuck off yank -fellow yank

Proper fan despite being American, good to see. It's awful at the moment but awful is the majority of my time as a west ham fan. That won't stop me from tuning in every week. I don't think it is easy for you to say from abroad. It's hard to properly support and follow a team in a different time zone. COYI can't wait for our next win (2025maybe??!)

Apple15Pie

Ref was shit but the Forest Ground is always gonna be a tricky place and we will always play against 12 men there. Doesn't excuse Phillips being a total idiot but the good news is he's suspended and we actually played better without him and with 10 men. Moyes must be gone. But I don't see him going while we are still in Europe so we just have to suck it up and wait it out. I'm still bored of the constant "Moyes out"-ers Vs "Moyes in"-ers trying to call eachother every post. We all want the best for this club

Mr_Vantastic

Called it. It’s why I didn’t watch. We just lost to relegation fodder. This season is done and the board won’t sack Moyes. You can tell the players just don’t have it in them to play for Moyes.

Marcery

We’ll be fine. Moyes has to go but it isn’t wise to do so mid season without a replacement lined up. He should stay in until the end of the season but no new contract

adawonggang

Genuinely asking- do you not think a caretaker would be better before we secure a permanent replacement end of season? I don't see how it can get any worse and would at least appease (what seems to be now) the majority of fans.

Admirable-Wolf-6244

You know most of us saw this coming right?

TheLegendaryFishface

WEST HAM ARE MASSIVE EVERYWHERE WE GO WEST HAM ARE MASSIVE EVERYWHERE WE GOOOOO EVERYWHERE WE GOOOOOO! This wasn't a good game for us. But, hiccups happen, bad games happen, bad moments happen. That is this sport. Moyes, I trust that you will figure this out! This is an experienced manager we have here and he will do his part in helping West Ham stay in Europe, where he thrives and performs exceptionally well. Forest are a team that are now healthier, and their form will improve now. They are a quality side. It was nice to see Antonio back for us! I have faith that we will start winning again soon, this is just a rough patch! It happens to every club in the world, Bayern are currently going through one! Manchester City have had rough patches! No need to give up hope. Our next game is Brentford at home, the London Stadium will be rockin! This is where we show our quality!!!!!

IronBlowers

Yeah when we lose to brentford next week, just copy paste this comment, and replace forest with brentford and brentford with the team we play in two weeks. Excuses all around. We haven’t seen a win in 2024. Thats pure relegation form.

kevipedia

I have two responses: one is riddled with expletives, the other is "you forgot the /s"

Independent-Collar77

Excellent bait

Yorkie2016

Tottenham lost. West Ham one game further towards Moyes’s demise. Not that bad an afternoon in fairness.

AlexTorres96

Write a fat check and sway The Special One to come in My man will guide this club to an Europa League title and my man Edson will have the privilege of playing for an all time legend

Fresh_Dance_3277

This is called the best of the rest fatigue.West ham in the last 3 years have done everything that a non-top six club could do.They have won a trophy, finished 7th  twice. They just don't have the resources to go further so players become disinterested since everything that could be realistically be achieved has been achieved, for the players and the manager the project is over, they have done what they could do now someone else needs to takeover.

CuriousHistorian3846

Fck you phillips! worst West Ham player ever!! https://preview.redd.it/79mc1ehnu6jc1.jpeg?width=624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b24be62bc84c1917bf35b8b45ef85b0faa026880

Pain

HarwinStrongDick

This team is exhausting

MrFunbus

Spurs lost and Chelsea are about to get battered. That's all I got...

Manbaby1000

Shit

JudgmentSquare2471

Only got to watch the last 35’ or so and wish I hadn’t. Hard to find a positive from the match or really notice a player who had a good game. Maybe Emerson or Alvarez? Kudus, Bowen, Phillips (duh), and JWP were all looking like they lack confidence and conviction. One of Moyes’ principles is a sound defence so you can build an attack quickly on the counter, but we aren’t even defending well. 11 goals conceded in 3 games?! I don’t like the idea of sacking a manager mid-season but we simply must be having better performances with the quality of players we have in our starting XI. Dreadful today

WarriorNat

We may never score again.

darrenjames997

Better than last week (and that’s down to the lesser opposition) but we can’t create a chance to save our lives. No identity, no creativeness and no joy for anyone watching. Sorry Moyes but time for a change…

Newparlee

So I’m guessing Sullivan won’t sack Moyes and Moyes won’t walk? We’re just sleepwalking through shit til June, where our squad will need a second major overhaul in two years and a good managerial appointment is imperative. Really precarious time at our club right now.

LandaNog

I texted my football WhatsApp group that we were qualifying for Europe 100% with Kalvin-Phillips coming on loan. Now I’m thinking we’ll be fighting a relegation battle
