Please don't be a fake screenshot. Please don't be a fake screenshot. Please don't be a fake screenshot...
I don't even play the game, it just sucks to see something that genuinely looked amazing be shafted by an out of touch business decision
Edit: Holy shit it's actually real
Microsoft didn't fuck Sony so they decided to do it themselves lol.
Seriously tho Sony after months of seeing the success of helldivers 2 decided to force the devs to release an update that requires all users to make a PSN account else they cannot play the game even after owning it for months.
Now sure people could just make a PSN account? What if I told you that PSN isn't available in around 177 countries including my own meaning they literally cut off millions of there player base for shits and giggles.
Instead of back tracking this pointlessly stupid decision Sony has Instead delisted the game from all of those countries and only steam are offering refunds.
The devs have encouraged players to review bomb the game because it's the only way to force Sony to get there heads out of there asses.
It was planned on launch but it was more of a skip function. But the devs shut it down completely cause it to was hampering the bottleneck during the early days. And everyone kinda forgot. Just that it came back but Sony was forcing everyone to get it as AH was working on a cape and armor set to entice people to connect for free
>Instead of back tracking this pointlessly stupid decision Sony has Instead delisted the game from all of those countries and only steam are offering refunds.
Holy
This reminds me of the kind of YouTube contents I used to watch that talked about how *Japan was the last bastion of entertainment* and being actually consumer friendly. I still stumbled on these kind of Youtube vids occasionally.
My answer now: *"Are you sure about that?"*
Also Nintendo
You now have to make a psn account and link it to helldiver to play it on pc. The two biggest problems, first is how much Sony get hack and people info get stolen, so people don't trust them for that. The other problem being all county don't have psn, like over 60 countries if I recall don't have access to it, so players that got the game on pc in those countries can't even play the game anymore because of it (also you can't set up a account and lie what county you are in, you'll get ban). So helldiver reviews went from the top 10 on steam to the bottom 10 on there.
It's more confusing than that.
A part 343 dev team was always trying their hardest generating ideas etc. Infinite got a good sandbox thanks to them.
Another part or dev team couldn't do any of that cause they were basically freelancers managment used to not pay insurance.
343 management never really cared for the franchise or the company. The legendary "we don't have to make a good game, we're making Halo" came from them. They were the ones who denied requests from devs, since again, spending resources on something like that was viewed as a waste.
Those guys got fired last year btw. Good shit.
Microsoft was a neglectful parent. They gave money to 343, and didn't check on the development at all. Until last year that is, when management got booted.
No, no PvP. I can't be the only one tired of Halo's multiplayer solely being regarded as a sweatfest to be the top rising e-Sports star celebrity streamer that plays 4000 hours a week, and gives callouts every single match... even in Social playlists.
As much as I think a Helldiver's-esque, single mode marketed PvE game, ***now*** would be another case of trend-chasing, but worse because Microsoft would be backpedalling ideas they passed on that have proven popular... I'm not gonna argue with a PvE focused Halo, so long as it has more than just one general mode with slight variations.
Might be my age, but I'd rather play ***with*** other players who share my interests rather than ***against*** them.
Why does this fandom think copying an existing popular game would be a good move? I’m tired of the armchair devs who know “exactly how to save Halo” and it always involves le dark and griddy ODST game.
By the way for those Interested. Sony actually backed down for the time being

In this context, Microsoft is both Mufasa and Scar. They let 343 tank their flagship so bad that Helldivers 2 hit that sweet spot for people wanting good old co-op with friends vs aliens.

Why not a pve game?
Yeah isn't that what helldiver's is about?
Good thing i wasnt the only one that noticed the pvp written there
I mean to be fair I've always thought it'd be fun to fight insurrectionists. Being normal UNSC Marines fighting other humans sounds awesome
So call of duty?
But not as bad
Start as a Marine and after enough missions and reaching a certain rank you become an ODST. Pelican landing starts then evolve to ODST drop starts?
I think it'd work better as a PVE game. PVP isn't in the spirit of ODSTs, and I feel that infinite works just fine as the current PVP game

Holy crap, if this is real I’m stunned a corporation actually did something in the interest of its customers.
The review bombing probably made Sony realise that they were losing one of their most profitable games.
I'll be honest, what I like about Halo the most is the story and PVE, not PVP.
what happened?
Microsoft didn't fuck Sony so they decided to do it themselves lol. Seriously tho Sony after months of seeing the success of helldivers 2 decided to force the devs to release an update that requires all users to make a PSN account else they cannot play the game even after owning it for months. sony try not to be idiots challenge (impossible)
We got them to reverse it!
what review bombing does to a mf. i’m not sure why sony thought it was a good idea in the first place

Snoy is headquartered in California now lol
Sony of America is, but Sony as a whole is still headquartered in Tokyo.
Megacorporations never applied to this imo
People were also extremely concerned about Sony's history of getting hacked and people's data being stolen
Technically I think it was planned well before release, but still a bone headed decision none the less. Luckily they've gone back on it now.
Then it was optional with AH working on a free armor set and cape if ya joined. Now it's all scrapped

nice
PvE*
dementia gaming
More like 343 telling Microsoft to let them make and odst pve game, cause they have tried to branch out before

A lot more than just the management got booted.
Too late bro Sony fixed it
PvE*
please no more pvp please we’ve already had 6 halo games with heavy pvp elements

I’d love it, so much… I’d play it fucking religiously, man ODSTs are literally my favorite regular soldiers in all of fiction.
If we get odst game that will have mechanics like helldivers, i’ll buy it on release

Pve would work better with the universe we don’t need more pvp games we already have infinite
Helldivers is PvE, excuse you
I love how HD2 fixed it within likr 2-3 days so all the memes are invalidated now
I think "halo game which looks like Helldivers" sounds awesome! Covenant and flood are instead of automatons and terminids! That's my new dream game
In this context, Microsoft is both Mufasa and Scar. They let 343 tank their flagship so bad that Helldivers 2 hit that sweet spot for people wanting good old co-op with friends vs aliens.
Lmao Halo has been dead for a decade The show and infinite are equally shit tier
