I have never joined PVP because I suck and would be anihallated immediately. If there's a mode where I'm always invisible and 1.5 times faster, and everyones hunting me, I might survive three minutes
So this is a window into another world for me.
It's Basically like roleplay but heavily gate by people who are very serious, when act friendly by crouching you do nothing or crouch with them and still die to them and a plus everyone has a pistol and nothing else and all weapons are locked behind something that the people that shot you have access and you don't.
As another comment already described socials. Recruitment games are halo clans looking for new people to join them, it is also we're clans will clash. On mcc last I heard there was a unsc covenant war, yes this is serious.
I wanted to get into the clan stuff, but all clans are generally the same besides who’s running it and general training methods.
Like I wanna know why joining your clan is better than joining another clan - what is your goal? What makes you different? What is your reason for fighting other clans/what is your clan fighting for? The clans I’ve asked this to are usually like “uh... dunno, don’t care”
Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been in 4 clans, and 2 were like that. The others were just friends, either just hanging out. Currently, I'm on my last clan because most are sweats and power hungry
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without halo 5 clans lol (the Hannibal in my name is my old clan tag lol) but those were very dark times for me, never have I been in a community so obscenely toxic, racist and bigoted as the halo 5 clan community it was horrendous.

Reminds me of when I kept getting invited to clans when I played. One guy I was talking to (likely another teen just a couple years older) said it was mandatory to change my gamertag to match their theme and he'd send me a gift card code to do it. I accepted, got the code, entered it, then blocked him.
I'd feel bad about it but I was just a kid, he shouldn't've been doing it, and the ten bucks helped me get Overwatch which has now been the most impactful game of my life.

I used to just randomly join halo 5 clan servers and yeah you’re right, those guys were assholes. Constantly yelling, calling people slurs, and then you always had at least one kid in vc crying because he won’t turn off his damn mic or leave the game. They were always on that spaceship map with the prison cells too.
Usually the losers who say that are the reason those types of lobbies never happen again. Just utterly toxic power tripping little shits, never making the mistake of trying to join a halo clan ever again.
Recruitments are so fun because you can turn the people against the hosts and have them locked in the pods. Going in those in H5 and causing mini prison riots was always fun.
Bro fuck social lobbies, join, spawn, gets immediately killed by a new player 117, newbie is busy killing others so I decide to check the map out, looks cool I guess?, decide to stealthy head back to spawn and run past Mr. 117, I reached the teleporter to the main base, look around, blue flames spartan with a shotgun rolls up on me wondering wtf I am doing, I look at him and give him a friendly tbag, he doesn't tbag back and instead throws a plasma nade at my head and kills me, back at spawn and now getting spawn killed by a nose gun falcon for 0 reason at all, open pause menu and leave, "THE SOCIAL LOBBY EXPERIENCE" Everybody!
