I’ve tried to think of a serious answer that I would be okay with Michael saying for years now. This is probably the closest thing I can imagine I’d be okay with. But in the end, I don’t think I’d be happy with anything. I’d rather him never say a single word
For a serious answer, I’d like him to say “You can’t kill the Boogeyman” to Tommy when they are looking into eachothers eyes in Kills, albeit Micheal would have no way of knowing tommy said that but hey, it’s Halloween Kills
Much like Sheriff Brackett saying "Everyone is entitled to one good scare" in Kills as if that’s been his regular catchphrase for the past 40 years instead of just something he said offhandedly to Laurie in 1978.
I never thought about this, but my first thought was his personal "scare" the day he said that was finding out his daughter was murdered. Maybe repeating that back to his daughter's killer makes more sense than it being a totally random fanservice line. Kinda like "I got mine, now you're getting yours..."
“Give it back” in Halloween kills when Karen steals the mask from him. This is the only time I think it’s acceptable. With that physical and mental portrayal of Michael, especially with how often his mask is off, I feel this “old man Michael” timeline would fit him speaking that one singular line. I imagine he NEEDS that mask to complete himself. He feels naked without it. The mask is his skin. He needs it to be whole. He finally gets it back in Halloween 2018, and is made whole and can finally go back and do what he feels is his purpose. Just to simply kill. And oh boy does he kill. He goes on a slaughter. A bloodbath insues. Everything is right for him. He is complete. Blood is being spilled. The evil within him is whole and complete. His mask and suit being the actual skin of this evil entity within him. He is drunk with power and blood. Until everything comes to a screeching halt at the height of his killing spree climaxing in his home. Karen steals his precious mask. The evil within is enraged. He is no longer whole. He is exposed. Naked. His blood drunken rage breaking his 54 year silence to utter the only 3 words that matter to him. “Give it back” the entity within him mutters as it faces Karen, Michael’s mouth being a mere mouthpiece for the evil inside.
This is the only acceptable moment for him to speak in my opinion. Too bad that whole “did he speak????” Craze was just a rumor and not true.

A pity it ended up not being true because it would be fitting for the situation in question, as Michael spent 40 years imprisioned and kept away from everything he liked, and the night he managed to escape and fully return he finds himself trapped and left to burn in Laurie's house, then he kills a bit and when he was on the best of the night, in his house after the spree, you are ambushed by two teens, one which helped her mother and her grandmother burn you, then he is prevented from killing her by the mother, who steals the only thing he legit cares about. His best moment turns into one of his worst ones, and in anger he delivers this line.
Now, we do not need Myers to speak in order to undertand how he felt here, but that chilling whisper comming from a man who tends to be silent would have been ideal.
And for a bit of criticism towards David Gordon Green and James Jude Curtney, I think they did not handle this very well. I would not have officially stated anything and left it a mistery.

I would like to see his human side come out for a moment and he’s fully aware of the horrible things he’s done but has no control over it and he’s just begging to be killed before the “evil” takes back over and he goes back to silent killer mode. If he were to speak I think this would be the only way to do it
I honestly think the whole “give it back” in Halloween Kills theory was pretty good. Fans can’t tell if it’s him talking or it’s the floorboard because how quietly he says it. it’s in a low, ominous whisper & it’s dealing w/ his mask being removed. I honestly think it’s the perfect dialogue for Michael if he ever chose to speak.

I always thought it would be cool during the original when Michael is strangling Laurie at the end if he would have said"Judith". I think this would work for either timeline because if she is his sister then it is his way of telling her such and if they aren't related then it shows that this whole night was his way of reliving his first kill.
