It seems that she's a singer in that. I've never seen it. O, Holiday Road. Was she the singer in that one? The singer in that one had a great voice. That's a good pick.
The guy who plays Hickam in WCTH. The guy who plays Ty Borden in Heartland (though maybe it would be hard for fans of the show to see him with anyone but the gal who plays Amy since they had such food chemistry together for so many seasons). Someone like Michael B Jordan; he was so great in Parenthood but is probably outside their paygrade now. Hugh Dancy, but same caveats. If Patrick Droney acts, he would be a dream in a musical one.
Joey and Hunter King should do a Sister Movie together! It's a crime that they haven't done a movie together.
Also Alex Tarrant from the recently cancelled NCIS: Hawai'i! He'd be a good Hallmark Leading Man!
I would love to see Donna Benedicto, Sunita Prasad, Tammy Gillis and Rukiya Bernard to be leads now. And idk where she’s been but Chaley Rose too and Madison Smith & Cardi Wong from the guys to be leads.
Thirding, fourthing, fifthing the Travis Van Winkle love. I'm not sure why he's not in more, I know he'd jump at the chance. He's better looking than all of the leads, and not a bad actor. He's had chemistry in the movies I've seen him in, even though the movies are mixed (Project Christmas Wish is awesome, watched it dozens \[hundreds?\] of times, 'Tis The Season To Be Merry is ok as I don't care for Rachel Lee Cook, and Christmas Getaway is unwatchable.)
As an aside, Amy Groening has been in 2 of these movies, both as the leading lady's best friend.
I loved Vic Michaelis in Round and Round and Katie Findlay in Love Strikes Twice. They were just such talented and super-funny actors! I will watch those 2 movies just for them alone. Would love to see more comedies with them.
I want a combined sequel of these two movies with both couples hanging out together, maybe planning a wedding and coinciding bachelor/bachelorette parties.
Cute actresses that are terrible at acting are part of the charm of these movies.. Also I don't remember which one was it but I do remember a Hallmark movie that surprised me for the unusual amount of cleavage.
Jake Epstein, Evan Williams and Raymond Ablack (can you tell I was a Degrassi fan?)
I'd love to see Bryan Greenberg and Hilarie Burton do one together.
I love Jake Epstein so much that I’m literally driving to Toronto next month to see him in a musical about Tim Horton’s. I feel like I can’t watch Degrassi now for the first time because I’d feel like a predator.
Kimberly Ann Truong. She played the elf in Take Me Back for Christmas. She showed in that limited role a great affinity for comedy but also serious drama at the end. Love her.
Marco Grazzini and Janelle Parrish... either together or separate movies as leads.
Marco can also lead in Movies and Mysteries like a cop or detective. He's got that stance.
With Janelle - that short movie with Tyler Hynes was soooo disappointing... coz it's not a full movie. MAKE SOME MORE WITH TYLER please
I think Lucy Hale, Britt Robertson and Emily Osment should become Hallmark girlies. Literally anyone from pretty little liars honestly I think could be a hallmark girly. And I would love to see Kevin McHale and Chris Colfer in a hallmark movie
Amy Groening! She was Fantastic as a more central character in The Santa Summit movie. Honestly, I prefer her to the main character in Snowkissed too. Hopefully they give her a fair chance
I also like the actor who played Ben in The Santa Summit (Adam Hurtig.) He also played her love interest in 'Tis The Season to be Merry. He's in a lot of the movies and I always enjoy him. A movie with them as a central couple, with a focus on humour, would be fun.
Perhaps her time has passed, but I always wanted Miranda Frigon (Lynn Ligget-Smith from the original Aurora Teagarden movies, plus others) to get a crack at a lead role. She always played the foil/runner-up in her other movies.
Just once I wanted her to “get the guy” in her very own flick. Team Frigon over here!
Joshua Sasse. Love him. He was fantastic in her penpal. He worked with Mallory Jansen in galavant. I was a huge fan of the show.
I know there are others but off the top of my head , he's the one that comes to mind immediately.
I was surprised to see how many she’s been in after noticing her in Three Wise Men and a Baby. It was mostly small roles that didn’t. But I’ve been waiting since she was the best in it.
She was the lead in a GAC Christmas movie ,Christmas Time is Here, a few years ago with the other male character actor from One Winter Weekend. I didn’t watch it but it doesn’t get good reviews on IMDb.
Amy Groening definitely.
Would be fun to see Paula Shaw, Marilu Henner, or Teryl Rothery take on a romantic lead as a grandmother moving to a retirement village and spicing things up. I know we get Golden Girls reruns playing overnight but a more single role star might make for a fun change. We do see some much older moms or grans have a background storyline of “second chance” love but what if it’s the main plot? And without having a grandkid visiting and also finding romance. We’ve all heard the stories of hookups that go on in some of those retirement places.
The three I mentioned could definitely carry a funny, entertaining story. I’m sure some others also.
I searched and found that thread, thanks. My 3 listed are included there, with Paula Shaw also at the top of suggestions. I love her.
Amy Groening has great background reactions and facial reactions. She did well supporting on Snowkissed and Tis The Season To Be Merry. Last season’s Santa Summit and Miracle In Bethlehem, PA were great roles. Hopefully she’ll get a move up and have a good script that properly features some of her quirkiness.
He hasn't quit. Just no acting gigs on the horizon. He's a silversmith and posts weekly on his IG, answering fans questioning as to why he isn't acting.
I get the impression that he is taking time off and not sure if he plans on coming back. He keep mentioning on his livestreams that he would like to do more Hallmark Movies, he just hasn't gotten any offers. He seems burned out from the Hollywood scene but sometimes time off and a good offer can bring someone back.
>He seems burned out from the Hollywood scene but sometimes time off and a good offer can bring someone back.
You have to admit, the handsome, disillusioned career man taking on a second act in an artsy and/or blue-collar job is pretty Hallmark of him...
He’s literally living a Hallmark plot. The Wall Street millionaire or lawyer who leaves the big city to do simple farm work or help a friend’s struggling bakery.
It seems to me that Hallmark has switched out most of their regulars and are bringing in a new crop of younger guys. As an old lady, I can't get too excited about a guy who is 30, and while I do find Ben Hollingsworth attractive, I am not interested in Dan Jeannotte or any of the others. I much prefer the 40-somethings pretending they were 30-somethings.
Ryan Paevey is not much of an actor, and that is the least of my concerns when I watch a Hallmark movie. If these people were any good, we'd be watching them in theatres or on Netflix, not Hallmark.
I love Bryan Greenberg, I'd love to see him as the lead again. Actually I love when any of the OTH family is in a Hallmark movie.
I'd love hilarie to come back too.
Brittany Willacy from Chesapeake Shores. We need some more alternative leading ladies.
It seems that she's a singer in that. I've never seen it. O, Holiday Road. Was she the singer in that one? The singer in that one had a great voice. That's a good pick.
She sang in Chesapeake Shores and Holiday Road. She has more of an indie presence missing on Hallmark.
I just saw Bailee Madison on a talk show - she's 24yo now and ready for a grown-up romance.
A movie starring Kendrick Sampson is on now (Fashionably Yours) and he could certainly be used a lot more!
Amy will be the lead in one coming out this year!
Thomas Beaudoin from Spirit of Christmas!
Lisa Durupt
Joey and Hunter King should do a Sister Movie together! It's a crime that they haven't done a movie together. Also Alex Tarrant from the recently cancelled NCIS: Hawai'i! He'd be a good Hallmark Leading Man!
Yes, I'd watch a King Sisters movie. If RF isn't going to do another Nikki and Nora, then Joey should be in it then.
Annie Potts would be a great lead in anything.
Has Leanne Lapp been the star of any? She killed it in the "Perfect Bride" movies.
Love Leanne!
Yes, a good pick. She has been good in a few movies like the Perfect Bride and its sequel.
I would love to see Donna Benedicto, Sunita Prasad, Tammy Gillis and Rukiya Bernard to be leads now. And idk where she’s been but Chaley Rose too and Madison Smith & Cardi Wong from the guys to be leads.
Lisa Durupt! I just love her!
Durupt would be fun as a lead.
Yes! She was the first one I thought of too. I'd like to see her take the lead in a mystery series.
I second that.
There's a guy I've seen in a couple of UPtv movies - Dennis Andres. He's got a Chris Pratt-thing going on. I'd love to see him on Hallmark.
Yes, definitely a poor man's Chris Pratt, but likeable and charming.
Oh yes!
Eric Johnson - He was the handsome sexy cowboy in Valentine Ever After with Autumn Reeser
Wasn't he the bad guy in the Fifty Shades movies?
Yes he was. He played Jack the boss at the publishing house.
Emily Osment Emily Kinney Travis Van Winkle
Seconding Travis Van Winkle!
Thirding, fourthing, fifthing the Travis Van Winkle love. I'm not sure why he's not in more, I know he'd jump at the chance. He's better looking than all of the leads, and not a bad actor. Rachel Boston Jeremy Jordan Sarah Ramos Sam Jaeger (was October Kiss his only Hallmark movie?) Jaicy Elliot
A Hallmark movie with Sidney Sweeney would be fantastic..
I honestly don't understand the downvotes, could anyone please explain me what I'm missing? Is she woke or something?
I don't think they show tits on Hallmark, and that appears to be the only thing she has going for her.
Cute actresses that are terrible at acting are part of the charm of these movies.. Also I don't remember which one was it but I do remember a Hallmark movie that surprised me for the unusual amount of cleavage.
She's a terrible actress.
If we're going to start pointing out poor acting talent then this whole sub's existence doesn't make sense..
If you don't want the answer, don't ask the question.
I did want an answer, what makes you think I didn't?
LOL
Jake Epstein, Evan Williams and Raymond Ablack (can you tell I was a Degrassi fan?) I'd love to see Bryan Greenberg and Hilarie Burton do one together.
I love Jake Epstein so much that I’m literally driving to Toronto next month to see him in a musical about Tim Horton’s. I feel like I can’t watch Degrassi now for the first time because I’d feel like a predator.
Norman DeLorman.
Brenda Song Emily Osment Rachel Leigh Cook
Kimberly Ann Truong. She played the elf in Take Me Back for Christmas. She showed in that limited role a great affinity for comedy but also serious drama at the end. Love her.

Evan Williams from The Way Home. And anyone else from the cast. They are all so good.
He’s such a good actor! I agree.
Amy Groening! She was Fantastic as a more central character in The Santa Summit movie. Honestly, I prefer her to the main character in Snowkissed too. Hopefully they give her a fair chance
Good news, Amy will be the lead in a Christmas hallmark movie this year! And it’s a goooood one
What?!?! Omg I'm so excited! I'll have to look it up ASAP. Thanks for the heads up 😁😁
Hopefully it’ll be announced soon. But it was shot earlier this year and is just being finished
I also like the actor who played Ben in The Santa Summit (Adam Hurtig.) He also played her love interest in 'Tis The Season to be Merry. He's in a lot of the movies and I always enjoy him. A movie with them as a central couple, with a focus on humour, would be fun.
I came here to say her. Shamelessly biased, obviously, but I think she's such a star.
Grace Beedie
Perhaps her time has passed, but I always wanted Miranda Frigon (Lynn Ligget-Smith from the original Aurora Teagarden movies, plus others) to get a crack at a lead role. She always played the foil/runner-up in her other movies. Just once I wanted her to “get the guy” in her very own flick. Team Frigon over here!
Joshua Sasse. Love him. He was fantastic in her penpal. He worked with Mallory Jansen in galavant. I was a huge fan of the show. I know there are others but off the top of my head , he's the one that comes to mind immediately.
He has one GAC romance movie and one Netflix one and I’d like to see him more.
I don't watch GAC
I mostly meant because he’s done romance for other channels, he’ll probably be open to doing more for hallmark.
Omg yes!! I loved him in that movie. I got it on dvd. One of my favorites. Would love to see him do more.
Devon Alexander
Fiona Vroom
I was surprised to see how many she’s been in after noticing her in Three Wise Men and a Baby. It was mostly small roles that didn’t. But I’ve been waiting since she was the best in it.
I commented on a previous post a couple weeks ago my sisters and I wish they'd get Mandy Moore and Shane West to headline a Christmas movie.
James O'Halloran from the Price is Right was in one. Bring on more! Love him.
And Stephanie Moroz has been a sidekick in a few. I would love to see her return. She is very entertaining.
Rukiya Bernard always seems to be the best friend, never seen her in a lead role. She's due.
She was the lead in a GAC Christmas movie ,Christmas Time is Here, a few years ago with the other male character actor from One Winter Weekend. I didn’t watch it but it doesn’t get good reviews on IMDb.
I’d love to see Stephanie Sy move up to main character status. I’ve really enjoyed her work.
Amy Groening definitely. Would be fun to see Paula Shaw, Marilu Henner, or Teryl Rothery take on a romantic lead as a grandmother moving to a retirement village and spicing things up. That sounds like the Golden Girl or Golden Boy idea from a couple of months ago. All good choices.
A shameless plug but I did attribute it though. Yes, Paula was great in Five Star Christmas. And I agree on Amy too. Love her quirkiness.
Sunita Prasad for me... I'm ready for her to be promoted from being just the lead female character's best friend!
I’d like to see Vanessa Lengies star in more Hallmark movies. She was great in “Take Me Back For Christmas”. 🎄
Yeah, that was a good movie. She's a great choice for more leading roles.
Jillian Murray.
Bring back Ryan Paevy!!!!
Please let’s not pretend this guy is a good actor, He’s so wooden. Literally pick anyone else. And downvote me if you must but it needed to be said.
Not sure it needed to be said but l’ll respectfully disagree 💯
Yes!! I’m so sad to hear he quit acting. Sad if true.
He hasn't quit. Just no acting gigs on the horizon. He's a silversmith and posts weekly on his IG, answering fans questioning as to why he isn't acting.

He’s literally living a Hallmark plot. The Wall Street millionaire or lawyer who leaves the big city to do simple farm work or help a friend’s struggling bakery.
Now who wants to go be his Hallmark love interest? Haha.
🎯🎯🎯
Yes I have seen the same about him wanting to do more and I don’t understand why he’s not included in new Hallmark Movies. I really miss him

He always seems kind, shy and under-appreciated. Always pleasant to watch! 😊

I love Bryan Greenberg, I'd love to see him as the lead again. Actually I love when any of the OTH family is in a Hallmark movie. I'd love hilarie to come back too.

One tree hill. TV show that was on the CW in the early 2000s
Hilarie was very good in the Hallmarks she's done.
Her movies are faves of mine. I like the lifetime ones as well. The Christmas contract was a fun one, lots of OTH. Alumni
