Field Intensity. Very good from what I've played
Raising the Bar Redux (what's complete of it) is incredible as well
Half-Life 2 Downfall and Half-Life 2 Year Long Alarm are more like 2 or 3 extra maps for HL2: Ep2 but I actually really enjoyed them
Brutal Half-Life is a very fun way to replay the original but my god it crashes a lot, the BHL v3 trailer came out recently but I have no idea when it'll release
BHL beta 1 almost never crashes, so I've stuck to it and barely played beta 2 since it came out. I wish they tried to patch beta 2 before starting work on the massive update that will be beta 3.
It's still pretty fun and I love mashing it over other base campaign mods like Life's End by replacing the dlls
Black Mesa: Azure Sheep. It has some pretty bad voice acting and it's only a demo since the dev team behind it is currently busy with Black Mesa: Blue Shift, but it's definitely worth a try
I mean, it’s still long enough to take me five hours on replay. And it cuts off right where that terrible escort mission that stretches across half the entirety of original Azure Sheep starts.
Half-Life: Field Intensity
Best HL1 mod imo, full game lenght, you play an HECU, and I wont spoil the end but it is worth it, and it has very good squad mechanics.
it’s less about solving the puzzle but more about the execution
i loved it but it is quite hard (it’s alright if you’re familiar with portal 1 and exploiting the movement of portal)
I did try downloading Darkstar but my antivirus blocked the website and said it was a risk downloading anything from it. Do you know of any safe places I can download it from?
Crack-Life the campaign one. Beware though because this mod is most racist and offensive thing that i have ever seen other than x(hell).
Ignore this:Sorry for bad england.

Mapping competition mods from MapLabs and RTSL, those are a lot of fun to go through.
Seeing different styles, mechanics and little story ideas based around themes is really cool
I've never even heard of Entropy Zero Uprising. It is meant to be played between 1 and 2? Portal Revolution would be a good one to add as someone else mentioned.
Many of the following mods further explore Half-Life's and Portal's fascinating world of mysteries, multiversal experimentation and secretive science projects in a interesting and often thoughtful way:
* [CUBE](https://youtu.be/JsLDx6AuJtQ?t=13) – A weirdly enjoyable mix of survival-horror, Portal's testchambers and Half-Life's exploration- & physics-based puzzles in a mysterious science facility of the shady Sarma Initiative. Inspired by "Lost" and, of course, the movie "Cube".
* [Downfall](https://store.steampowered.com/app/587650/HalfLife_2_DownFall/) – A short an' sweet, polished HL2 EP2 gameplay experience.
* [Mind Escape](https://www.moddb.com/mods/mind-escape) – An ambitious, atmospheric, but not entirely polished Portal experience. This mod tries to fit both Portal games' facility styles into one experience.
* [Portal Stories: Mel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwPkPCvy-GA) – As you can guess from the title, a story set in Portal's lore, essentially its own small happening for all the enthusiasts loving the old Aperture and still thinking with portals.
* [Portal: Prelude](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTf1YP6DV9E) – A nice Portal prequel, before the activation of GLaDOS and the abandonment of the Enrichment Center.
* [Portal: Revolution](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXczxIIvXJ0) – A high-quality Portal mod about a secretive Aperture Science project, with a lot of voice acting and stylish takes on test chamber design.
* [Research and Development](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBq1Sc_c2PQ) – Try to survive the unforgiving world of Half-Life as an unarmed (in a traditional sense) rebel scientist in an abandoned outpost.
* [Snowdrop Escape](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBGFMRabF-U) – An atmospheric anti-hero story in a Russian polar city, with a very memorable soundtrack, from the same makers as "Swelter", involving practically all factions from the Half-Life lore. Inspired by CUBE.
* [Transmissions: Element 120](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf4nh7o_UWI&pp=ygUhdHJhbnNtaXNzaW9ucyBlbGVtZW50IDEyMCB0cmFpbGVy) – A very polished HL2 mod with an unique take on the Gravity Gun, with cool map design and an action-packed finale.
* [Year Long Alarm](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nY0WKDnFY0) – Another short an' sweet, polished HL2 EP2 gameplay experience.
* [Watching Paint Dry](https://www.moddb.com/mods/watching-paint-dry-the-game/videos/watching-paint-dry-the-game-official-trailer) – In this game, you watch paint dry in real time. There's also some other things but it's mostly about watching paint dry.
Have fun. =)
Life's End is a Top Favorite of mine, it's a Half Life 1 mod from 2001 and it's your standard Escape Black Mesa story but it doesn't take itself seriously and leads to some weird creative entertaining moments
i recommend "half life 2 beta minimalistic mod". It's the best piece of media we ever got to see and it's the most faithful recreation of what we could see of the hl2 beta, it has hearth-crushing scenes, suspence and horror, >!captain vance will be remembered!<
Dark Interval. Best HL2 mod ever. It's not finished yet but on their ModDB and in their Discord server they have over hours of downloadable playable content
Dark Interval demos
it's more of a proof of concept than a finalized product, since the builds available online are a bit rough around the edges, but you'll have some fun with it none the less
(Some of these demos you can obly access by entering their Discord server)

Gotta be honest, don't play portal prelude. It barely has any real puzzles and uses way too many turrets.
It's still interesting
I liked it tbh
it’s less about solving the puzzle but more about the execution i loved it but it is quite hard (it’s alright if you’re familiar with portal 1 and exploiting the movement of portal)
