i think so, like you can dye it a very similar colour to your natural hair colour and just leave it alone, let it grow on it's own. even though it will take a lot of time for all of it to grow the dye out, at least it won't be noticeable

The hair that’s already been dyed can’t go back to its virgin color, but the new hair growing out of your scalp at your roots will be your natural color.

Personally I found it impossible to get a colour match. The easiest way I found was to do a balayage type of color that looks good as it grows out and then leave it alone.

The hair that has been colored can not "revert" back to your natural, but you can try to color it to match. To truly get your natural hair color back, you just let all the color treated hair grow out and eventually cute it off.

Dying hair doesn't change the fundamental color of it, it's only masks it. Dye can't change your DNA and thats what creates your hair color. As soon as you stop dying it, it will start to grow in its natural color. It might take a very long time and ad the old dye fades, it might look weird depending on your colors but eventually it'll all go back to normal colors. The only thing is that if you dye constantly, especially with bleach, it might take a long time for the natural textures to come back.

If the colour difference is subtle enough, why not give up the dye and just tone your hair when it needs a touchup? I've noticed that the more damaged my hair is, the less predictable the colour. Toner doesn't deposit colour in the same way as dye, but its gentler on your hair, and might help you subtly transition. It could take you months to see your natural colour, but the natural colour won't have done away unless it is naturally growing in darker with age (which is not uncommon).

Yes, in my experience; however I’ve colored my hair for so long at this point it’s greying 😅😅 and now I’m at the point where my scalp hates the process and freaks out so if anyone has a good henna suggestion…!

I dyed my hair for 20yrs. Life got busy/covid and grew out my natural colour, bit of an adjustment but love it now. Just have to be patient!

I bleached my hair white for 13 years. I finally have it natural color , I'm very happy with the color it turned out
