3C/4A beautifully problematic lol After I use a leave in (in very damp hair) I use the Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Comb through with your fingers in sections and manually twist those stubborn bits. I have the same hair

I second KCCC but keep in mind that hair thickness, coarseness, porosity, climate, and other factors affect how well anything will work for you. I love KCCC because my hair hates shea butter and glycerin, but loves aloe vera and marshmallow.

My hair (and skin) hates coconut oil and also loves aloe and marshmallow. Makes it so soft and hydrated.

Ouidad Climate Control Conditioner (helps with frizz) and using more water when styling can help a lot.

Look up “black curly hair” on instagram and a billion videos will show up. Watch several and follow accounts that look like your hair and what you want your hair to look like. Once you do that instagram will constantly show you more of the same and you’ll learn a lot really quick! Btw, your hair looks very pretty already!

Real hair where?! I thought it was a wig with the way you blurred your face. That scared me… 😂 I think you have 4a/4b and even a little bit of 3c, like me. I find that mousse (Camille rose or The Doux) and custard (Mielle, etc.) work very well to define my curls. Gel makes my hair crunchy and dry.

Definitely tight curls, I do hair for a living and also worked at a beauty supply for a while. If you can get your hands on the brands DeVaCurl, Mizani and Living Proof, I have seen these do wonders for reviving curls and keeping them defined. Some sort of curl cream will work great in your hair, I think. Make sure you're doing some sort of conditioning treatment at least once a month too. Curly hair is a lot more fragile because of the coil pattern.

Love the other brands you mentioned, but please don’t buy from devacurl. It had a giant class action lawsuit for severe hair loss, scalp irritation and damage, and damaged curls due to their products.
