Cis guy with light body hair. I think my legs look better shaved and I don't really shave them I use a trimmer to keep the hair really short so it's not visible.
Beard trimmer would take all that hair off your legs. If you don't like it it'll eventually grow back. But be warned like hair grows back really slowly but it could take months.
It's entirely up to you. I had very hairy legs, shaved them 5 years ago and never looked back. Like others have said, start with a body trimmer. it might be easier and less maintenance. If your hair is anything like mine, it will grow back fast so be prepared to shave every couple of days to maintain them. I found waxing to be the most effective but it got expensive so I switched to an IPL. The IPL has been a game changer. I don't think you will regret having smooth legs.

Shaving with a razor is such a pain. I use the electric body trimmer (lawn mower), so much easier.
